IMPORTANT MESSAGE KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Thank you for forgiving me for my imperfections. I get up around 4am or so and pray and write the cup and sometimes even with my spell check I make mistakes. At my radio job at KEYZ/KYYZ in Williston, North Dakota, when I left they gave me a Dr. Spello book!!!! HA!!! HA!!!!! My spelling mistakes have followed me for 35 years!!!! I know you folks know what is in my heart and sometimes I goof up like in the last posting in some of my spelling.......Lars says I need to get rid of AOL spell check. I am not known for my brains, but my passion..........Love ya all!

Okay, enough of that............Esther sent this in and I figured you would want to be reminded of this or some of you may not be aware.

Dear Friends,
An announcement was made at church today regarding the red envelope project. The details are below and can also be found at www.redenvelopeproject.org I know this is late notice, but participate if you can. Envelopes need to be mailed on March 31st! Today!
~Esther

The Story...
Below is a letter that has been circulating with a great idea. The message began in silent prayer from a faithful follower who was spending quiet time with God.

Dear Friends and Intercessors:

This afternoon I was praying about a number of things, and my mind began to wander. I was deeply distressed at the symbolic actions that President Obama took as he began his presidency. Namely, that he signed executive orders releasing funds to pay for abortions, permission to fund human stem cell research, and federal funding for contraception. I have been involved in the pro-life movement for nearly 20 years, and it pained my heart to see a man and a political party committed to the shedding of innocent blood. This man, and this party lead our country, but they do not represent me or the 54% of Americans who believe that abortion is wrong and should no longer be legal.

As I was praying, I believe that God gave me an interesting idea. Out in the garage I have a box of red envelopes. Like the powerful image of the red LIFE tape, an empty red envelope will send a message to Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue. It will be quiet, but clear.

Here is what I would like you to do:
Get a red envelope. You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores. On the front, address it to:

DON'T FORGET YOUR RETURN ADDRESS. THEY WON'T BE DELIVERED WIHOUT IT.

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W.
Washington , D.C. 20500
On the back, write the following message.

This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception.
Put it in the mail on March 31st, and send it. Then send this website to every one of your friends who you think would send one too. I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a a chance to live. Maybe it will change the heart of the president.

Warmly, Christ Otto

Let's Send 50 Million red envelopes (and Counting) to the President!

PRAYER AND PRAISE KKIM/DDC

Read this!

Bobby Box wants to thank you all for praying for his 6 1/2 year old daughter Reneesha. We have been praying for her because of her liver problems. Her liver was twice the normal size during the illness. The Doctor's finally diagnosed that Reneesha had picked up Hepatitis E on her travels to Africa. Let us PRAISE GOD that she is healed. Her liver is it's normal size now and she is feeling so much better. Hepatitis E comes on it's own and leaves on it's own and it has left the body of Reneesha! PRAISE GOD!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

We have so many answered prayers here at the CUP!!!! We are so blessed to come together and prayer and give praise!

Thank you for being a Prayer Warrior with us and after talking to Pastor's Mark and Leonard we are to be PRAISE WARRIORS ALSO!!!! We have an AWESOME GOD!!!!!

Nicole needs our prayers...............

Dewey and Family,
Please put me on your prayer request. I have found that I need the Lord to guide me and give me strength in my daily life and to carry me through these tough times financially and emotionally. I need his wisdom and will.
I need him to show me the way and to believe that HE will guide me to the positive things in my life and not to dwell on the negative. To help others who are in far worse shape than myself. To love everyone and be thankful for the things I do have. I am so grateful right now to be able to write this request. Thank you to all of you who are reading this and that I have you to write to.
In Jesus divine name I pray.
God Bless You all.
Nicole

Let us all pray for Nicole. Thanks to you all. Let us also PRAISE GOD for Nicole!!! What a heart for Jesus she has!

PRAISE GOD for Pastor Jesse Dompreh. Jesse is featured in the Albuquerque Journal Business Outlook this week. Congrats Jesse! His write up is on risk. Way to put it out there Pastor Jesse!

Please join us at Heights Christian Church this Friday night at 7pm for prayer night! All our welcome! email me for more info.

Before I leave you today let me share this with you on prayer from Philip Yancey.........

The apostle Paul prayed "that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." I doubt that Paul prayed this prayer once only, for my part, I have to pray it every day. The most important purpose of prayer may be to let our true selves be loved by God.

God does not treat us as our sins deserve

or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,

so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,

so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;

for He knows how we are formed,

He remembers that we are dust.

Psalm 103: 10-14

Thank you for being with us today! Enjoy your CUP and KKIM today! It is 32 degrees here at 5am.

Let us pray................

Dear Father,

We give YOU PRAISE AND GLORY

Let us savor the moments and not fret the what-ifs and might-have-beens. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

Matt. 6:27

MONDAY MORNING JUMP STARTER KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

How are you today?

Well let's start off by giving you the chance to win a KKIM surprise gift pack!!! Why do we call it a surprise gift pack? because I don't know what I will put in it yet!!!! HA! HA!

Here here is a question I got and if you are the first to answer it..........you win!!!! Hurry before someone beats you to it!!!!!!!!!!! Let's hear from you! I will mail the gift pack to Egypt if I have to!!!!

Dewey,

Do you know the source of this scripture, supposedly a quote from Jesus: “He who rules his Spirit has won a greater victory than the taking of a city.”

If you know.....email me right now!

I have been praying as to what the Lord would have me send today and this is where HE turned me too.........I am reading for the second time Chuck Swindoll's book on Paul. Paul is my hero! He was a man who turned his life around and gave it to the Lord. Paul is an AWESOME testimony as to what can happen when we turn our life over to the Lord. Paul took part in the murdering of Christians! Do you know the story? Study the life of Paul.......it will be inspiring to you!

A friend of mine Jim, from KAZQ radio in Albuquerque, sent me an email awhile back showing a survey that suggested that nearly 40% of those who listen to Christian radio do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

We are reaching many new folks through KKIM and the Cup. Many are checking us and God out! Seeing if they would want to give their life to Christ!

It is never too late............from Chuck Swindoll..........

No matter how you appear to others today, everyone has a dark side. You would be amazed if you knew the darkness lurking in the pasts of those people who have made a difference in your life. Seems unreal, doesn't it? We're all sinful by birth, by nature, and by choice. We remain totally and completely depraved DEEP WITHIN. We grope in darkness because of OUR SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS.

Even though your past is soiled, like mine, anyone can find a new beginning with God. It's never too late to start doing what is right. When Saul (Paul) knelt before the living God, he finally faced the reality of his sin.Deep within the man, Christ transformed his life and he started doing what is right. Grace provides that sort of new beginning.

Don't get stuck on where you were. Don't waste your time focusing on what you used to be. Remember, the hope we have in Christ means there's a brighter tomorrow. The sins are forgiven. The shame is canceled out. We're no longer chained to a deep, dark pit of the past. Grace gives us wings to soar beyond it.

Could it be that you are stuck because of something from your past? Perhaps it has pinned you to the ground with embarrassment, shame, and fear. (I have been there)
You're crippled by it. The best you can do is to limp through each day, hoping for a painless end. That way of thinking is the Enemy, Satan. HE LOVES TO PUSH YOUR NOSE IN THE DIRT, HOPING TO MAKE YOU MISS THE MARVELOUS CLAIMS OF GRACE!!!!

Don't allow him that power in your life today. AROUND YOU ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO GREATER CLAIM ON GRACE THAN YOU DO, and the Lord mercifully brought them out of their pit of sin. If he could turn a Saul of Tarsus engaged in a murderous rampage into a Paul the apostle who preached and lived the message of grace, HE can change your life too.!!!!!!

Read once again, or for the first time the words of John Newton's, Amazing Grace!
Read them slowly and aloud! BELIEVE THEM!!!!

Please pray for our friend, Doug Scarborough who has been having heart problems The Doctor's are still trying to get his heart regulated. Please keep Doug in your prayers.

We had someone interested in our house in Los Alamos, but they decided not to purchase it. Please keep this in your prayers. We thank you.

Lord willing, up next will be living, "THE DEEP LIFE"

Let us pray.................

Dear Father,

Let us be AWESOME witnesses for YOU and YOUR grace.........the grace YOU can only give. In the name of Jesus, AMEN

A Quick Cup of Honey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

I want to thank you all for being friends in the Lord and inviting us into your lives. We are making so many new friends here at KKIM and the Cup! WE PRAISE GOD!!!

It is so touching to have YOU as a friend.

As Mike Gibson says, "I do not know many of the folks we pray for, but thanks for using their names so I can pray for them."

As Miki Vasquez says, "It is an honor to serve the Lord."

That it is Miki!

Let us BOAST in the LORD!!!!

Here is what are friend Susan Swafford sent us........so timely..........

Here is an acronym that we can remember to help us have that continued peace and rest that the Lord so freely wants to give us in the midst of storms that inevitably come our way:

S tay in God’s Word

L eave everything in His hands

E arnestly mediate upon Him

E mbrace His comfort, and

P ray continually

God bless you and your ministry,

Susan Swafford

I got an email awhile back from a friend, who says he does not hear from the Lord. In my daily walk with Jesus Christ I have learned to listen! For a guy who talks a lot and is a self-proclaimed mike hog, that is a HUGE achievement!

Listen....for the Messenger the Lord sends..........the Holy Spirit..........

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14: 26-27

We obey Jesus not by gritting our teeth and doing what we hate, but by depending on His power to enable us to do what our love for Him compels us to do. Willing obedience leads to an intimate relationship. Charles Stanley

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and ...We will....make Our home with Him."John 14:23

What I have found so POWERFUL and PEACEFUL at the same time is having the Holy Spirit guide me.

I am not the sharpest knife in drawer and I wish I could explain it better.......but pray to the Lord and ask for HIS guidance. Make yourself vulnerable to the Lord. Open up! HE will speak to you!

Chuck Swindoll in his book on Job, suggested praying spread out on the floor with your face down and let it all out! Give it up all to the Lord!

But always remember that the Lord has us here to spread HIS WORD AND GLORY and all our prayers need hands and feet, and voices for the TRUTH here in this world.

Friday Cup with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

First this from pastor Don and then please read below for some disturbing news out of Questa, New Mexico.

ABIDING FRUIT

Read John 15:16

Jesus has chosen us for Himself and made us a people for His own possession, that we might proclaim the many excellencies of Him Who has called us out of darkness into His glorious light. We have been given power from on high so that we might be witnesses for the Lord, and we have the assurance that, if we are faithful in sowing the Word of the Lord, He will bring forth abundant fruit through us. - T.M. Moore

Maranatha!

Thank you Pastor Don...........look forward to hearing you this morning on KKIM at 7:30 with Nuggets of Truth. Heights Christian also air's their Sunday services on KKIM, Sundays at 4pm.

Today, in New Mexico parts of the state are having a snow storm. Sharon is still waiting for 1-25 to open to Santa Fe so she can get to work. School's in Santa Fe are closed today.

Please pray for us here at KKIM as we put on our suit of armor everyday to bring the TRUTH.............

Last night on New Mexico News and Views we covered this story and are encouraging all to call the school and ask that this school board member be removed from the board. We as Christians can not sit back and not take action when things like what is going on in Questa, NM are going on. We need to bring light to these situations. God's children are at risk........Last I heard School officials were to protect our children........I guess not in Questa!!! Here is the details reported by Pastor Mark Tross........

NEWS MAKER OF THE DAY:

Dr. Deb Gunderman, Biblical Counselor, and Host of Walking In The Way, heard right here on KKIM, AM 1000 from Albuquerque, FM 94.7 in Santa Fe and around the world on the Internet at http://mykkim.com joined Station Manager Dewey Moede, Pastor Leonard Navarre and me today to talk about Questa Independent School Board member Matt Ortega’s MySpace page, which features pictures of scantily clad women, some as young as fourteen, sexually suggestive language, as well as materials that glorify drinking and we’re not talking cartons of milk either! We all had much to say on this particular topic and only wish we had more time to share our NM Views, but you came to the right place, because we have all the time in the world here J This guy was just re-elected to the school board in February and of course, he sees nothing wrong with his MySpace page and calls himself a “family man.” He claims he has no way of controlling the pictures on his personal page, but Leonard proclaimed, “He’s a liar,” so let THE TRUTH be told, HE’S A LIAR! Questa’s computer policy prohibits staff from displaying or storing “inappropriate material,” but Ortega is an elected school board official, so he’s not subject to any district policy. Hey Questa Voters and Parents, Who’s watching the hen house? Ortega says he has nothing to hide and he’s not worried about his teenage “friends” being exposed to any risqué’ material. Board President,

David Zimmerman said he had not been aware of Ortega’s page, but he said there is little the board could do. “School board members fall under a very peculiar category,” he said. “It’s pretty tough to put any sanctions on a school board member.” PECULIAR is right! Mr. Zimmerman, you should be VERY aware of this situation by now. Zimmerman said the board could censure Ortega, which he described as a “slap on the wrist.” What they should do is strap some handcuffs on Ortega and file charges against him for corrupting minors. One thing I do agree with Mr. Zimmerman about is that he said. “One recourse is a recall.” Questa residents, DEMAND A RECALL ON THIS GUY! Questa Superintendent Eric Martínez is apparently in agreement with Ortega that the page is a non-issue. In an e-mail, he admonished The Taos News for focusing on the negative and would not answer questions about school policy. Apparently Questa Superintendent Eric Martinez needs to go too! I’m with Dewey, Leonard and Dr. Deb, we’re living in the last days. You would have to be blind not to see the wheat and the tares clearly. Jesus is coming back to separate His Sheep from the goats and like I said on air, There’s no king in the land and everybody wants to do what’s right in their own eyes, even if it endangers our children. Be sure to visit Dr. Deb’s website at: http://www.walkingintheway.com .

We have a bunch of KKIM listeners in the Questa area.......please make the voice of God heard! We are working on this story as we go and will provide phone numbers soon. But many of you have the number or can goggle the number. If you think I am fired up for the Lord now....you should have heard me last night!

Here is a key Bible verse in this situation.........We cannot be conformed to this world!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

Just one last note.........I got an email saying I was becoming to "cause oriented" WOW! I am here for the cause of my Lord Jesus Christ. If we as Christians do not stand up for the Lord, who will? It astounds me that people who call themselves Christians just sit back and say it is none of their concern, or they say let go, let God. WOW! What if Paul and others would have had that attitude?

I leave you with this................Something to chew on.........

If you let sleeping dogs lie, you won't be bit, but you won't be blessed either!

An Overflowing Cup of Grace KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

This is an overflowing cup! Some of you tell me that you go back to the Cup several times a week to read it over and over and also pass it along to others! PRAISE GOD!!!
We have a full mailbag.........we would love to hear from you! At the bottom of the CUP is a special message from Max Lucado.....so make sure a finish your CUP!

Can there be anything more thrilling that your son coming to you and saying, "Dad I have my favorite Bible verse!!!!!!!.......19 year old Lars, It is Matthew 23:39, Love your neighbor as yourself.

Lars has grown so tired of the hate in the United States. He just turned 19 and is growing up so fast! He is our youngest and a student at CNM taking up Movie production and related courses.

Let's look at Matt 22: 37-40

He said to him, "Love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.

Here is a PRAISE note: Lars got hired at Cliff's Amusement Park here in Albuquerque for the summer! PRAISE GOD!!! I get to go on the Merry-go-round!!!!

"Don't fret or worry, Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."
Philippians 4:6-7

Let us pray for Cowboy Clarence. He is not feeling well. Clarence is a HUGE supporter of KKIM. He covers us in prayer!

Thank's to all of you who have called and sent emails thanking us for our coverage of the Legislative session.......We PRAISE GOD for the resources and friends to be able to do that!
We praise God for KKIM!
Folks who really help us, are our Ministry programs, and Ministry sponsors. You can help us keep going full speed ahead by supporting the Ministries and businesses that support KKIM!
Please prayfully consider supporting our ministry and business sponsors.

Come April, Lord willing I begin my 4th year as Steward of KKIM! It is the best job (even thou I do not look at it as a job.......I really have never had a job in my life, because what I do is part of my life. My Dad always told me that if you do something for a living that you love dearly......it is not a job....look at it as part of your life) KKIM turns 37 years old on April 15th! PRAISE GOD!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!

Our dear friend, Daniel Ruiz of New Mexico's Body of Christ has put out his very first edition of Salt and Light magazine. Congrats Daniel!!! Here is our wonderful friend Karen Rowe who you hear every Saturday at 7:45am..........

Ever thought about how real Jesus IS?

Jesus is so dear to me!

I am listening to....How Great IS our God!

How can we deny HIM now?

God IS the beginning...
and the end to all suffering....

Only Jesus can lift us up to God! Now how Great IS our God!

For God so loved the world that HE sent HIS one and only son that who so ever believes in HIM shall not parish but have ever lasting life! John 3:16

and ....How Great IS our God!

Ever had one of those days...broken and tired; exhausted in all emotion to being overcome and don't know how to escape?
Whether trapped in sin, overcome in fear or just tired...Just say HIS NAME

JESUS

There is no need for fancy words...

HE hears our heart and mutters of our soul in our words.

Come to HIM...

How Great IS our God!

Just rest in HIS arms that know peace and joy.

May we know the love that we are covered in by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus!

Thank the LORD this morning as I was up all night watching my son just breathe!
He had an allergic reaction, but is fine.
But what a scare!

And today, I just want to say from my soul...
There is no one more important in our lives than Jesus.

HE COVERS US...Thank the good LORD for being in our life! May we just remember that God is good.
Bad things may happen, but God IS still Good!

God IS the beginning and the end.

Jesus came so that we may have eternal life and life to the full...

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!

All will see... how great IS our God.

Name above all names.
Worthy of all praise!

My heart sings ...How great is our God!

from the words of the song...How GREAT IS OUR GOD...Chris Tomlin

Feeling low and need lifted...listen to this song of Praise and feel God's energy lift your soul with an energy that surpasses all knowledge...PRAISE TO GOD! Praise to God is all it takes to lift our soul.

God bless us one and all!

Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe

Thank you Karen.........remember friends you can hear Karen Saturday mornings at 7:45 on KKIM.

Here is a wonderful story Roy, who is from Colorado, sent us.........

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little
girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like.
Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed
the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby
and said, 'Go into the other room and see if you can put this together.
This will show you our whole country today. After a few minutes, Shelby
returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together.
The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly.
'Oh,' she said, 'on the other side of the paper
is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged,
then our country just came together.'
AMEN!!!!

Let's check that overflowing mailbag................PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Dewey,
Just want to let you know how much I appreciate you all, and this
station--your programming, including Bible teaching, news, updates on
what's happening in Santa Fe, etc. This really keeps us informed,
mind and spirit; with TRUTH, thank the Lord.

God Bless you and all the staff at KKIM.

Ann Hutton

Dear Dewey, Sharon and family, Greetings
It was such a blessing to receive your 'Cup' this morning. It was very uplifting. And as usual a feeding for my soul.
Yesterday as I went out to enjoy the day, I noticed a Ladybug had fallen into the pool. It being the first one I had seen this year, plus one that needed a hand. I stop and picked it up, put it on my finger and watched as it slowly walk around my finger and stretch its little wet wings. What a small blessing that was. It showed me that summer is truly on the way. And one of Gods creatures was out, enjoying the day also.
Sometimes it just takes a small thing to remind me that Gods mercy is everywhere. And when I stop to 'smell the roses' He shows me another miracle.
I too will turn 29 soon, on the 3rd of April. Happy Birthday to all who are reaching this wonderful age of wisdom. {:)
Have a Great Day! God Bless. sam

Dewey,
Thanks for your message today. I needed to hear that Jesus is with me, and knows me, and understands me. I'm going through some depression and anxiety right now, and this is just what I needed to hear.
Blessings, Gwen

Dewey,

Thanks for such a tasty and touching cup this morning. It was like a love note from God.

I'm struggling a bit with next Saturday's show...not with the content (your cup confirmed my topic), but with timing. Some shows just don't time well, and this is one of them. In fact I needed a break (been at it for two hours) and decided to check my email. Your story about the elderly man with a sick wife gave me a renewed spirit to get back to my show prep.

Not only am I inspired, but I absolutely LOVE when God confirms I'm on the right track. For some reason, this show was just on my heart and God wouldn't let me leave it alone. Be sure to listen to this Saturday's show..I think you'll you like it.

Shona

Make sure and listen into Shona every Saturday morning at 7:30 on KKIM.......She is such a blessing!!!!

Hey Dewey,

I have thought of you often and have been praying for the sale of your home in LA. I am going to give you a Bible verse by memory, Lord HELP, and I feel that this applies to you today. We are to keep our face like a flint upon the Lord, looking not to the left nor the right. That is not the exact wording but close enough. I believe what Habakkuk says in chapter 2 verse 2-4. Before I write it for you, most of us, as Christians do not know how to hear, see, or receive the visions of God. Yet the Word of God is full of examples for us.

Hear is what the prophet says: Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.

I pray that the Lord will show you the meaning for you and your family and the radio station. I am moved to tell you this, my dear new friend:

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the KINGDOM of God and HIS righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The kingdom is joy, peace, and righteousness in the HOLY SPIRIT. It is not being preachy, it is not quoting scripture, but living a different mindset than what we have ever known.

John the Baptist told us that the KINGDOM of God is coming. Jesus said that the KINGDOM is in you, it is at hand. What does that mean? I would encourage you to study this out and see what you come up with. We have made church a religion. I walk by faith NOT by a religion with man made interpretations of the Word and what they think it means.

The Word of God was written with a Hebraic mind set not a Greek mind set which we have here in the west. So where does that leave us in understanding the

Word of God? Some things to think about.

See what you have gotten yourself into by making one phone call? Ha! Blessing to all of you.

Ann Montoya

Thanks Ann, you are on fire for the Lord! By the way, would you all pray for the sale of our house in Los Alamos? We have a prospective buyer at this time. Your prayers would be appreciated.

Dewey,
Thanks again for the opportunity to talk about Celebrate Recovery. Here is the pertinent info. from the web cite:

The Purpose: The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to provide a safe, non-judgmental place where hurting people can open up and share their struggles, strengths and hopes with one another. It also provides caring fellowship where people can celebrate God’s healing power in their lives and give hope to others. By working and applying the 8 Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually, and become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems, which leads us to freedom from our compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

History: The material was written by Pastors Rick Warren and John Baker from Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, and was initiated in 1991. It has a long track record of accomplishing the above described purpose in a variety of settings and individual circumstances. In fact, it is so successful it is currently being used nationwide and overseas and is also being implemented in many prison systems across the country and around the world.

Dr. Deb LIVE from FLORIDA............

Hi, Dewey,

I have to be out of town on business the weekend of April 3-5. I want to call in and do my show remote - live from Orlando, FL. I want to do my show from the Holy Land Experience. The Holy Land Experience is a theme park owned by TBN. I think this could be fun.

Simon from Cyrene Carries Jesus’ Cross
by Max Lucado

“A man named Simon from Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was coming from the fields to the city. The soldiers forced Simon to carry the cross for Jesus” (Mk. 15:21)

Simon grumbles beneath his breath. His patience is as scarce as space on the Jerusalem streets. He’d hoped for a peaceful Passover. The city is anything but quiet. Simon prefers his open fields. And now, to top it off, the Roman guards are clearing the path for some who-knows-which-dignitary who’ll march his soldiers and strut his stallion past the people.

“There he is!”

Simon’s head and dozens of others turn. In an instant they know. This is no dignitary.

“It’s a crucifixion,” he hears someone whisper. Four soldiers. One criminal. Four spears. One cross. The inside corner of the cross saddles the convict’s shoulders. Its base drags in the dirt. Its top teeters in the air. The condemned man steadies the cross the best he can, but stumbles beneath its weight. He pushes himself to his feet and lurches forward before falling again. Simon can’t see the man’s face, only a head wreathed with thorny branches.

The sour-faced centurion grows more agitated with each diminishing step. He curses the criminal and the crowd.

“Hurry up!”

“Little hope of that,” Simon says to himself.

The cross-bearer stops in front of Simon and heaves for air. Simon winces at what he sees. The beam rubbing against an already raw back. Rivulets of crimson streaking the man’s face. His mouth hangs open, both out of pain and out of breath.

“His name is Jesus,” someone speaks softly.

“Move on!” commands the executioner.

But Jesus can’t. His body leans and feet try, but he can’t move. The beam begins to sway. Jesus tries to steady it, but can’t. Like a just-cut tree, the cross begins to topple toward the crowd. Everyone steps back, except the farmer. Simon instinctively extends his strong hands and catches the cross.

Jesus falls face-first in the dirt and stays there. Simon pushes the cross back on its side. The centurion looks at the exhausted Christ and the bulky bystander and needs only an instant to make the decision. He presses the flat of his spear on Simon’s shoulders.

“You! Take the cross!”

Simon dares to object, “Sir, I don’t even know the man!”

“I don’t care. Take up the cross.”

Simon growls, balances the timber against his shoulder, and steps out of the crowd onto the street, out of anonymity into history, and becomes the first in a line of millions who will take up the cross and follow Christ.

He did literally what God calls us to do figuratively: take up the cross and follow Jesus. “If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me” (Lk. 9:23 CEV).

Let us pray..........

Father,

May we be less bothered by the imperfections of others and more concerned about our own transformation. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

A QUICK CUP WITH COLSON AND KIMBRO KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Thanks to Linda Page of Car Pro's Auto sales for this comment, "People ask me where do I listen to get the news.......I say KKIM!"

Thanks Linda for being such a supporter of KKIM!

Just a reminder that Frank Haley has your news all morning long and posted at www.mykkim.com around 6 to 6:15am.

I will be along each weekday with New Mexico News and Views at 4:30!

We PRAISE GOD for the opportunity to give you the news and information that effects the Christian way of life!

I just wanted to share this from Chuck Colson with you...............

Some years ago, I visited Athens and mounted the slippery rock called Mars Hill. At the top, I stood where I imagined Paul had confronted the Areopagus, the wise men of the cultural center of the world. Paul challenged them by referring to their own literature and false alters, and then boldly proclaimed the gospel, concluding that God had raised Jesus from the dead.

Few people accepted Paul's invitation that day to follow Christ. But billions have followed him ever since, because Christ has an UNSTOPPABLE POWER!!! HE HAS THE POWER TO BREAK SATAN'S HOLD ON OUR SOULS AND JOYFULLY TRANSFORM OUR LIVES!!!!

I KNOW!!!! HE HAS TRANSFORMNED MINE!!!!! (Dewey's comment)

Colson continues.......George Orwell was right: In a crises, we often have a duty to restate the obvious. And Easter is a good time for Christians to remind their doctrinally confused brethren of the obvious truths of Christianity.

THE GREATEST CHALLENGE FOR SERIOUS CHRISTIANS TODAY IS NOT REINVENTING CHRISTIANITY, BUT REDISCOVERYING ITS CORE TEACHINGS!!!

WOW!! How solid is that!!! Chuck Colson is such a blessing! AMEN AMEN!!!!

Let us pray............

Dear Father,

We pray that we and our Christian leaders return to your core teachings. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

PS.........Please keep the emails coming....let us know how you are and how you think we are doing!

Please also keep praying for each other and our families!

Speaking of praying..........WOW!!! Let's close with this, sent to us by our awesome friend Pastor Don of Nuggets of Truth............

A FRIENDLY CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family.

We are so blessed to be with you again today!!! PRAISE GOD!

May the STENGTH and PEACE of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours.

Friday when Lars and I went to Ft. Sumner, NM to do our Ministry work........we stopped at Fred's cafe to eat. There were a table full of old time ranchers, they all had to be over 80. They were enjoying each others friendship over coffee. Laughing and having a good time.

Then another elderly man came in by himself in his wheelchair. He sat by himself. He just stared at the front door, like hoping his friend would walk through that door.

I asked the waitress if this man cam in everyday........she said yes........his wife is very sick and he comes in to eat.

I got up and knelt beside him and we talked for a bit and prayed and I gave him the cross Pastor Leonard Navarre had given me.........I said Jesus is with you always.........he is with your wife always......he died on the cross for us........My new friend held that cross in his hand and looked at it...........

The next time you see someone sitting alone.........stop by and at least say Hi........and mean it.......Pray before you start talking.........the Lord will guide your conversation. We cannot do these things on are own.........The Lord will guide us.........but be open to sharing the Lord with others........We are all God's children.......we are to look out for each other.

Don't by shy........The Lord will move if you let HIM!

The Best Friend You Will Ever Have

John 15:13

Many of us know the familiar hymn, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."
We all consider our Savior a great friend------but none of us have an exhaustive knowledge of the heights, depths, and breadth of HIS amazing friendship. Consider just a few of the elements of Jesus loving relationship with you.

1. HE has committed HIMSELF to you as a friend for life.

In fact, this commitment lasts more than an earthly lifetime; it's eternal. HE will never leave you, no matter what you do. You may suffer some dashed expectations in your lifetime, but the LORD HIMSELF will never disappoint you.

2. HE remains open and transparent to you at all times.

JESUS will show you as much about HIMSELF as you desire to learn and are able to appreciate. HE will never keep from you anything about HIMSELF that you need to know.

3. HE renews HIS loving overtures to you everyday.

HE knows how to meet your deepest longings, and HE remains sensitive to your wants as well as your needs.
JESUS is an inspiring, comforting listener who will never thoughtlessly interrupt or be quick to criticize you. HE attends wholeheartedly to your requests. HE has so lovingly fixed HIS eyes on you that HIS heart hears exactly what you say.

What kind of friend is JESUS?

John 15: 13 answerers that questions.

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."

JESUS is the kind of friend who willingly laid down HIS life as payment for your sins-----past, present, and future. Without complaint, HE bore all your sorrows and suffering, while pledging never to leave you or forsake you (see John 14:18, I love it when I hear from folks like Sam who look the scriptures up!)

JESUS is the friend who sticks closer than a brother (See Prov. 18:24), the friend who walks by your side through everything.

One of the things that I picture in my mind everyday is JESUS walking with me and talking with me!

And because JESUS gave HIMSELF once for many people, we HIS followers can give ourselves for a few.

Do you know anyone who is staring at that door?............looking for a friend to walk through?

SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH THEM!

"WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS"

Let us pray..............

Dear Lord,

Give us the confidence to share YOUR good news with others! In the name of JESUS, AMEN!

Lord willing today, we may have someone on to talk about the Billy The Kid museum in Ft. Sumner! Listen in at 4:30 today for New Mexico News and Views.......The Lord will guide us!

KKIM NEWS UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT

Dear KKIM Family,

THE UNBELIEVABLE POWER OF TRUST!!!!!!

And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in HIM

Psalm 37:40

At 3:12pm this afternoon on KKIM Pastor Leonard Navarre shared with us the news of SB 77 going down in defeat.

At 3:30pm this afternoon on KKIM Pastor Leonard had New Mexico Watchman Jose Vasquez on live from the Roundhouse talking about the defeat of the bill.

At 4:30pm Pastor Leonard and Pastor Mark Tross gave you complete coverage of the wonderful news.

Thank you all for your prayers, calls and emails to the Roundhouse. Thanks to all of you out-of-state who did the same!!!!!!!!!

Here is Jose with a recap..................

SB 77 Stem Cell Research was defeated by the House of Representatives today by a vote of 38 to 30. With a predominance of proponents expected to vote for the bill, its defeat can only be explained as a righteous intervention.

Early in the session, it was felt that, if a stem cell research bill could get passed the Senate, a "do pass" was certain in committees on the House side and enough votes were available to make the bill into law. The debate lasted 2 1/2 hours with both emotional and "scientific evidence" offered.

Prayers were answered when pro-life legislators and those hearing from constituent voted again the measure.

Praise God and God bless the New Mexico State Legislature.

Jose Vasquez

Son Lars and I were in Ft. Sumner all day doing Ministry work.
You can hear KKIM from Ft. Sumner!!! WOW!!!

Dear KKIM Family,

I am so blessed to be with you today!!! PRAISE GOD!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

WOW! What a day yesterday!!! Pastor Mark Tross and I were at New Beginnings Church of God for a get together of Christian media and Pastors. Thanks to Rev. Cynthia Mansfield also of KNAT TV putting together this get together with her husband Pastor Richard Mansfield. It is the first event that I have been at where all the Christian Radio and TV stations got together!!!!(Just a few did not show) It was an AWESOME morning of fellowship in the LORD!!!!!

We got to see a sneak preview of the movie, "The Cross" The story of Arthur Blessitt and his 40 year journey! It opens on March 27th. For more details on this AWESOME movie go to www.blessitt.com This movie will make you THINK, CRY and LAUGH!!!

Once again thanks to the Mansfield's and the wonderful people at New Beginnings Church of God for being such wonderful hosts!!!

I met many listeners of KKIM yesterday..........what a blessing you are to us!!!!

I am such a blessed man.........I love you all!

Yesterday was another day that showed with the Body of Christ working together, much can be done! The key is breaking down walls and working together!

Now, speaking of working together! KKIM listeners have really responded to the call of action at the Roundhouse! PRAISE GOD!!!! Pastor and Former Congressman Bill Redmond says, "That without the action of KKIM listeners Domestic Partnership would probably not been defeated." The most powerful thing you folks did was PRAY and then call and email. You have done the same now on SB 77....so much that House Speaker Ben Lujan's secretary asked a Pastor yesterday, "What radio station is giving out our number?" How AWESOME is that? You, the people of God are making your voice heard at the Roundhouse for God!

When I came to KKIM, God told me to have KKIM become a resource for HIS people..keep them informed..........

Shalom Dewey,

Thank you and the Crew at KKIM for sticking with all the doings in the Roundhouse until everything that can be reported in a day is reported. We heard Bill Redmond’s report on SB 77 and your conversation with him close to 7 p.m. this evening. Also, that Governor Richardson repealed the death penalty.

Know that we continue to pray for Adonai to have victory on this Measure, as He did with SB 12. He does expect us to do our part: to be salt and light by taking an active part in the democratic process. We’ve also made and will continue to make lotsa calls and email State Representatives. Joshua 1:9 Chazak (Be strong; be resolute)!!!!

Heard Pastor Larry Moss on NM News and Views today. We agree with him that G-d’s Will is being done. Also, that He is judging His people. We pray for His mercy.

Thanks to Bill Redmond, Janice E. Arnold Jones, Jose Vasquez, Nora Espinosa and the faithful up at the Roundhouse.

Todah Rabah (thanks VERY much) and Shalom Uvracha (peace and blessing),

Eric and Chris Tomlin

This is from Pastor Don Kimbro of Heights Christian Church, host of Nuggets of Truth weekday mornings on KKIM at 7:30...........

HE FIRST LOVED US

Read Romans 5:6-11

Here is love, that God sent His Son—His darling—His Son that never broke love's law—His Son that was always His delight! This is true love, that He sent Him to save sinners—to save them by bearing their sins, by bearing their curse, by dying their death, and by carrying their sorrows! Here is love, in that while we were yet without strength, Christ died for the ungodly! — John Bunyan

Maranatha!

Thanks Don! It is always a blessing to hear from you!!!!

From Rick Warren..........

After the flood, God gave Noah these simple instructions: "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything" (Genesis 9:1,3 NIV).

God said, "It's time to get on with your life! Do the things I designed humans to do. Make love to your spouse. Have babies. Raise families. Plant crops and eat meals. This is what I made you to be!"

You may feel that the only time God is pleased with you is when you're doing "spiritual" activities like reading the Bible, attending church, praying, or sharing your faith, and that he is unconcerned about the other parts of your life. Actually, God enjoys watching everything you do, whether you are working, playing, resting, or eating. The Bible tells us, "The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives" (Psalm 37:23 NLT).

God especially enjoys watching you use the talents and abilities he has given you. God intentionally gifted each of us differently for his enjoyment. You may be gifted at mechanics or mathematics or music or a thousand other skills. All of these activities can bring a smile to God's face.

You don't bring glory or pleasure to God by hiding your abilities or by trying to be someone else. You only bring him enjoyment by being you. Anytime you reject any part of yourself, you are rejecting God's wisdom and sovereignty in creating you. God says, "You have no right to argue with your Creator. You are merely a clay pot shaped by a potter. The clay doesn't ask, 'Why did you make me this way?'" (Isaiah 45:9 CEV).

In the film Chariots of Fire, Olympic runner Eric Liddell says, "I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast, and when I run, I feel God's pleasure." Later he says, "To give up running would be to hold him in contempt." There are no unspiritual abilities, just misused ones. Start using yours for God's pleasure.

God also gains pleasure in watching you enjoy his creation. He gave you eyes to enjoy beauty, ears to enjoy sounds and music, your nose and taste buds to enjoy smells and tastes, and the nerves under your skin to enjoy touch. Every act of enjoyment becomes an act of worship when you thank God for it. In fact, the Bible says, "God generously gives us everything for our enjoyment" (1 Timothy 6:17 TEV).

God even enjoys watching you sleep! When my children were small, I remember the deep satisfaction of watching them sleep. They looked contented, secure, and peaceful, and I was reminded of how much I loved them. When you are sleeping, God gazes at you with love, because you were his idea.

Parents do not require their children to be perfect, or even mature, in order to enjoy them. They enjoy them at every stage of development. In the same way, God doesn't wait for you to reach maturity before he starts liking you. He loves and enjoys you at every stage of your spiritual development.

You may have had unpleasable teachers or parents as you were growing up. Please don't assume God feels that way about you. He knows you are incapable of being perfect or sinless (1 John 1:8).

What God looks at is the attitude of your heart: Is pleasing him your deepest desire? This was Paul's life goal: "More than anything else, however, we want to please him..." (2 Corinthians 5:9 TEV).

When you live in light of eternity, your focus changes from "How much pleasure am I getting out of life?" to "How much pleasure is God getting out of my life?"

God is looking for people like Noah in the 21st century—people willing to live for the pleasure of God. The Bible says, "The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who are wise, who want to please God” (Psalm 14:2 LB).

Will you make pleasing God the goal of your life? There is nothing that God won't do for the person totally absorbed with this goal.

Let us pray.............

Dear Father,

Remind us once again, that YOUR will, never leads us where YOUR grace won't sustain us. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

KKIM NEWS UPDATE

Dear KKIM Family,

I just got home. Former Congressman and Pastor Bill Redmond called me at home and told me that SB 77 (Embryonic Stem Cell and fetal Tissue Research) had passed the House Judiciary Committee by a 6 to 2 vote. We went on the air live at 7pm tonight to talk about this issue and urge action from all of us, hit the phones and emails! State Rep Janice E. Arnold Jones joined on the air.

This could hit the floor for a full vote by 9am Thursday. (Tomorrow)

It is very important to pray and call every House member to make sure they vote NO!

Stay tuned to KKIM for more details in the morning with Frank Haley and on our web site www.mykkim.com

Also Gov. Bill Richard repealed the death penalty tonight in a press conference at 6pm. The Governor stated that he does not have faith in the Judiciary system in the state of New Mexico, so with that he did not want the death penalty to remain on the books.

We are standing by to give you more information.

Please pray for the defeat of HB 77

Dear
Dewey,

I write to thank you for the DVD of Charles Stanley and the Christmas book. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

When I moved from Dallas to Albuquerque 4 years ago, I started to listening to KKIM. I love to listen You and Frank Haley.

Both of you has been a great blessing in my life and other people lives.

You are a such encourager of so many. THANK YOU

I am looking forward to meeting you,

May God bless you always,

Vera Thomas

Thanks Vera, your husband James, has been a pleasure to get to know as he runs for Mayor of the Duke City.

Well, I have my cup of coffee, with a bit of honey in it.....Let's get back to our Marriage work from www.familylife.com

God's purposes for marriage are challenged by an opposing force.

From the beginning, the Scriptures state that Satan has challenged God and His purposes for marriage.

Satan's opposition is focused on Independence from God (Isaiah 14: 12-14, Ezekiel 28:12-18)

God created mankind and placed them in the middle of this spiritual battle.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. he said to the women, "Did God actually say, "You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?" And the women said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, "You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die."

But the serpent said to the women, "You shall not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." So when the women saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:1-6

Because mankind willfully chose independence from God, there have been at least three consequences man has suffered throughout history.

The image of God in humanity has been defaced

Marital companionship has been threatened by:

Shame

Guilt

Fear

Blame Shifting

Battle for control

A Godly legacy has been challenged by a Godless legacy

Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. Genesis 4:8

Satan's purposes are threatened by couples who are becoming one; therefore, Satan concentrates his MAJOR ATTACKS on them.

Paul says, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

REMEMBER, YOUR SPOUSE IS NOT YOUR ENEMY!!!!

SATAN IS OUR ENEMY!!!!

MARRIAGE IS TO REFLECT GOD!!!!

SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!!!!

Remember, you can hear Family Life Today every weekday on KKIM at 7am and 8:30pm.

The House Judiciary Committee has its final meeting today, Wednesday, March 18th. If SB 77 is found to be to controversial, the committee may find a way not to address it.

Will you please pray and contact these Representatives. Pray God's grace on our Legislators in these the final days.

God bless you today.

A CALL TO PRAYER MY FRIENDS

Dear KKIM Family,

As Miki says, "It is an honor to serve our Lord and HIS people...........

I just got a call from Kristen Olson of Edgewood. You may remember we put out the call for prayer for Kristen and her little girls when they found, Mark, husband and dad had passed away at home. Mark was just 46.

This is a very tough time for Kristen and the girls........one moment Hubby and dad is there and then he is not.

Please pray for Kristen and the girls, sorry I will get the names of the girls later........But let us pray for this family.

Father,

You know the aches and pains of this family.........Kristen and the girls.........they miss Mark so much. We know Mark is with YOU now.......we miss our loved ones so much and when they leave unexpectedly.......it is painful........But YOU FATHER know all...........surround this family with your Angels.............surround this family with a family of love and support. In the name of Jesus, AMEN

James 1:26...........

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Thank you KKIM family for your prayers for Kristen and the girls.

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

OVERFLOWING CUP KKIM/DDC

Good Morning KKIM Family!

It is so good to be here with you! What a blessing! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD!

"The pride of your heart has deceived you." Obadiah 3

God hates pride, not only because it imagines itself a rival to God, but also because it blinds and deceives. Because it cannot see or accept the truth, it walks off cliffs and runs into brick walls.

AMEN! AMEN!

Pride is like the flu........many get it.

Thought For the Day:

Sometimes silence is best.

We have much to talk about this morning including a report from Jose, the New Mexican watchman from the Roundhouse. The mailbag is full and we have lot's to share. We have a couple of HOT news stories for you as you finish you cup,but first let me do as I promised another round of solid info from Family Life Today's Weekend To Remember marriage Conference that Sharon and I attended.

Remember, at these marriage conferences, there are people who have been married 6 weeks to over 50 years.......Everyone no matter how many years, get's something solid out of these conferences.

Couples who pursue companionship with one another experience the blessing of oneness.

Multiply a Godly legacy.

And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth." Genesis 1:28

Marriage provides the divine context for having children.

Oneness in marriage is necessary to multiple a godly legacy.

Neither women nor men are made emotionally, spiritually, or physically to raise children by themselves. Child rearing requires a team effort.

To appreciate their sexual identity, children must see a harmonious marriage modeled by their parents.

The roles of husband and wife are best understood by children as their parents model a harmonious marriage in the home.

The best hope for children to understand unconditional love comes as parents demonstrate that kind of love in the home.

Couples who value children as a gift from God, can experience the blessing of a Godly legacy.

We will have more on marriage in the coming days and weeks..in the meantime I would invite you to visit www.familylife.com for more.

Let us now check that overflowing mailbag.........Sharon and I love hearing from you! if you have not dropped us a line......please do so, we would love to hear from YOU!

the quote. What a way to approach so many things. Cancer, dementia,
heartbreak, illness, death ---- MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU! Cheri

Here is Jose.................

Today, Monday, March 16, in its late-afternoon meeting, the House Judiciary Committee will consider SB 77 Stem Cell Biomedical Research. Embryonic stem cell research destroys fetuses that are 1-14 days old, and later research may create new fetuses to be killed for body parts.

The bill has passed the Senate and, if it passes this committee, will go to the House for a final vote and could become law before the session ends. The proposed law is actually a change to an earlier law titled "Maternal, Fetal and Infant Experimentation Act." (That should give you chills.)

The House Judiciary Committee will meet in Room 309 on Monday, March 16, 1/2 hour after the House Floor Session ends. Because we are in our final week, the floor session may end as late as 7:00 p.m. (You may want to check the Legislative website at http://www.nmlegis.gov for information.)

It is thought that all 5 Republicans on the Committee will vote NO, and that at least 5 of the 9 Democrats are solidly FOR the bill and will vote YES. Four Democrats are possibly still making up their minds. They are as follows:

Name Email Phone
Office
Eliseo Lee Alcon eliseoalcon@msn.com (505) 986-4254 Rm.203C-CN
Elias Barela elias@barelalaw.com (505) 986-4235 Rm.204A

W. Ken Martinez mlo1@7cities.net (505) 986-4776 Rm.134C

Please call and/or email these 4 Representatives, thank them for their hard work in this legislative session, and ask them to vote NO on SB 77, the Stem Cell Biomedical Research Act..

It is expected that SB77 will be one of the first bills to be heard so that the doctor from UNM who is the Expert Witness can return to Albuquerque. That means that many people may be able to come after work to be there when the bill is discussed and voted on!

As Evelyn Manderville M.D., points out, everyone on earth was once an embryo, even our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There are other successful technologies to make stem cells without taking away the earliest, most vulnerable stage of a human life.

Above all else, PRAY for the Lord's will to be done.

Obama has circle of advisers on faith
LAURIE GOODSTEIN, Star Tribune

President Obama has been without a pastor or a home church ever since he cut his ties to the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. in the heat of the presidential campaign. But Obama has quietly cultivated a handful of evangelical pastors for private prayer sessions on the telephone and for discussions on the role of religion in politics.

All are men, two of them white and three black -- including the Rev. Otis Moss Jr., a graying lion of the civil rights movement. Two, the entrepreneurial dynamos Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Rev. Kirbyjon H. Caldwell, also served as occasional spiritual advisers to President George W. Bush. Another, the Rev. Jim Wallis, leans left on some issues, such as military intervention and poverty programs, but opposes abortion.

None of these pastors is affiliated with the religious right, though several are quite conservative theologically. One of them, the Rev. Joel C. Hunter, the pastor of a conservative megachurch in Florida, was branded a turncoat by some leaders of the Christian right when he began to speak out on the need to stop global warming.

But as a group they can hardly be characterized as part of the religious left, either. Most, such as Wallis, do not take traditionally liberal positions on abortion or homosexuality. What most say they share with Obama is the conviction that faith is the foundation in the fight against economic inequality and social injustice.

"These are all centrist, social justice guys," said the Rev. Eugene F. Rivers, a politically active pastor of Azusa Community Church in Boston, who knows all of them but is not part of the Obama's prayer caucus. "Obama genuinely comes out of the social justice wing of the church. That's real."

The pastors' names were gleaned from interviews with people who know the president and religious leaders who work in Washington. Their role could change if Obama joins a church in Washington, but that could take some time because of the logistical challenges in finding a church that can accommodate the kind of crowd the Obamas would attract.

The pastors say Obama appears to rely on his faith for intellectual and spiritual succor.

"While he may not put 'Honk if You Love Jesus' bumper stickers on the back of his car, he is the kind of guy who practices what he preaches," said Caldwell, the senior pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston. "He has a desire to keep in touch with folk outside the Beltway, and to stay in touch with God."

But pinning down Obama's theological leanings is not easy, the ministers said in interviews. They said he is well read in the Bible but has not articulated views consistent with the Afrocentric interpretation of his former pastor, Wright.

Moss said of the president, "I would simply say that he is a person of great faith, and I think that faith has sustained him."

SCIENTOLOGY SPOKESMAN TOMMY DAVIS CONFIRMS XENU STORY

Los Angeles, CA - After years of dismissing the story as false, Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis has confirmed that the story of mankind's origins involving an alien overlord named Xenu is indeed authentic Scientology teaching.

In the exclusive interview with KESQ News Channel 3 reporter[1], Nathan Baca, Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis was asked about the story of Xenu, known to senior Scientologists as part of "Operating Thetan Level III", or "OT III" for short. Davis denied the story at first (as he has done in the past), stating that these were claims "forwarded by anti-Scientologists."

When Baca began reading from a book written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard that mentions the Xenu story, Davis became defensive, admitting that the story is indeed authentic, but confidential. He then accused Nathan Baca of religious hate, saying that a non-Scientologist asking about Scientology's core beliefs is an "offensive concept", and that Baca was "just forwarding an agenda of hate."

Tommy Davis previously denied the Xenu story, asking CNN reporter John Roberts if it "sounded ridiculous" and saying the story was "unrecognisable" to him[3]. The Xenu story has also been denied by actor Tom Cruise and other famous Scientologists [6]. In that same interview with John Roberts, Davis claimed that anti-Scientology protesters known as "Anonymous" had sent death threats and bomb threats to Scientology "orgs" around the world. When Roberts revealed that the FBI had told CNN that they had no reason to believe Anonymous was responsible for the alleged threats, Mr. Davis stuttered, and claimed that the alleged threats were being investigated by local law enforcement.

The organization is well-known for aggressive public relations and media handling tactics, such as claiming threats of violence against itself. New York journalist, Paulette Cooper, the author of the famous critical book "The Scandal of Scientology", was framed for making bomb threats by Scientology in the 1970's. "Operation Freakout" was revealed by the FBI after raids on Scientology headquarters in Washington and Los Angeles in which were seized detailed plans for the false bomb threats. In 2007, the Church of Scientology in the UK alleged that the BBC sent "terrorist death threats" to the organization[5].

A leaked recording exists of Hubbard giving a lecture[2] on OT III, as well as a hand-written document summarizing the Xenu story written in Hubbard's own handwriting[4]. Hubbard instructed his followers not to mention OT III to any non-Scientologist and Scientologists who themselves have not reached the level, ostensibly because Hubbard wrote that people are liable to fall victim to pneumonia and die if exposed to the Xenu story before they have completed the preparatory steps in Scientology. Scientologists pay up to $350,000 to reach OT III. Those that reach OT III are required to have a safe in their home and to transport the OT III materials in a locked briefcase [7].

When betrayal comes, what do you do? Get out? Get angry? Get even? You have to deal with it some way. Let’s see how Jesus dealt with it.

Begin by noticing how Jesus saw Judas. “Jesus answered, ‘Friend, do what you came to do.’ ” (Matthew 26:50)

Of all the names I would have chosen for Judas it would not have been “friend.” What Judas did to Jesus was grossly unfair. There is no indication that Jesus ever mistreated Judas. There is no clue that Judas was ever left out or neglected. When, during the Last Supper, Jesus told the disciples that his betrayer sat at the table, they didn’t turn to one another and whisper, “It’s Judas. Jesus told us he would do this.”

They didn’t whisper it because Jesus never said it. He had known it. He had known what Judas would do, but he treated the betrayer as if he were faithful.

It’s even more unfair when you consider the betrayal was Judas’s idea. The religious leaders didn’t seek him, Judas sought them. “What will you pay me for giving Jesus to you?” he asked. (Matthew 26:15) The betrayal would have been more palatable had Judas been propositioned by the leaders, but he wasn’t. He propositioned them.

And Judas’s method … again, why did it have to be a kiss? (Matthew 26: 48–49)

And why did he have to call him “Teacher”? (Matthew 26:49) That’s a title of respect. The incongruity of his words, deeds, and actions—I wouldn’t have called Judas “friend.”

But that is exactly what Jesus called him. Why? Jesus could see something we can’t...

Jesus knew Judas had been seduced by a powerful foe. He was aware of the wiles of Satan’s whispers (he had just heard them himself). He knew how hard it was for Judas to do what was right.

He didn’t justify what Judas did. He didn’t minimize the deed. Nor did he release Judas from his choice. But he did look eye to eye with his betrayer and try to understand.

As long as you hate your enemy, a jail door is closed and a prisoner is taken. But when you try to understand and release your foe from your hatred, then the prisoner is released and that prisoner is you.

Thanks for stopping by today for a CUP!

Let us pray...........

Father God,

Teach us to risk wisely, to sail farther from the shore, but keep a sharp eye on the compass. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

WEEKEND CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM family,

I want to give Gloria Johnson a very warm welcome to the CUP and KKIM! She wrote me such a lovely letter, I will share it with you Lord willing Monday. In the meantime Gloria, sit back and enjoy this warm, honey filled cup of coffee with us on this rainy, snowy day in New Mexico.........

We all need to grow closer to God..............

God wants us to grow up like Christ in everything. Eph. 4:15

Please pray with us....and say the prayer and the end of this posting, please. Thank you and God Bless.

God wants us to grow up.

Our heavenly Father's goal is for us to mature and develop the characteristics of Jesus Christ. THE WALK IS FUN AND EXCITING!!! I KNOW, MY WALK GET's CLOSER AND CLOSER TO GOD EVERYDAY.......IT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER!!!!

Sadly, millions of Christians grow older but never grow up in Christ.

They are stuck in perpetual spiritual infancy, remaining in diapers and booties. The reason is that they never intended to grow.

Spiritual growth is not automatic. It takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT!!!!

Discipleship------the process of becoming like Christ-----always begins with a decision. Jesus calls us, and we respond: "Come, be my disciple", Jesus said to him.
So Matthew got up and followed him."

Will you follow Jesus?

Even if you are following Jesus, how close is your walk with HIM?

Cowboy Clarence is asking for our prayers as he is to start working out for the Special Olympics on Saturday and he is not feeling well. This means so much to him.......please keep him in your prayers.

Please keep Sharon and I in your prayers.

Please keep Pastor Mark Scales and the other 9 members of Heights Christian Church in your prayers as they leave today for their mission trip to El Salvador.

Miki Vasquez sent this AWESOME story into us!!!.........

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to
the end.

The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of
what I thought to be a court house.

The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the
defense table. As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'

He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He
definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.

I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, kind and
gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I
knew Him.

The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing
robes. He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I
couldn't take my eyes off of Him.

As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'

The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show
you why this man belongs in hell.'

He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the
past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible Perversions
that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my
seat I sank.

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own
Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten
about.

As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was
equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any
form of defense at all.

I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my
life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?

Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell, he is
guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can
prove otherwise.'

When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the
bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and
beckoned Him to come forward.

As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full
splendor and majesty.

I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my
Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and
then He turned to address the court.

'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any
of these allegations. And, yes, the wages of sin is death, and this man
deserves to be punished.'

Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with out stretched arms
and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might
have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'

My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life, and
no one can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet.
This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.'

As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,
'There is nothing else that needs to be done.'

'I've done it all.'

The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The
following words bellowed from His lips...

'This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full.
'Case dismissed.'

As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, 'I won't
give up, I will win the next one.'

I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you
ever lost a case?'

Christ lovingly smiled and said, 'Everyone that has come to Me and asked
Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In
Full~'

NEW MEXICO NEWS & VIEWS FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2009

SPORTS IS NEWS TOO:

Congrats to Jonathan Gibson, Jahmar young, Hernst and the rest of the Aggies for leading NM State past Boise State 80-70 in the quarterfinals of the Western Athletic Conference basketball tournament!

NEWS MAKER OF THE DAY:

You know what happens when you rub two sticks together? NM is headed into an extreme fire season and already 38,610 acres burned in 200 fires - mostly human caused since January 1, so let’s be careful out there. NM News & Views wants to start a Holy Spirit fire all around the state and across the world, but in the best Way. Pastor Mark Scales, from Heights Christian Church joined us to talk about their Missions Trip to El Salvador. Keep their team in your daily prayers. Speaking of fire, Lisa Torraco, Attorney At Law, joined us today and if you missed it, you REALLY Missed It, because she was doing what we do best on NM News & Views, telling The Truth about the Yi Murder Case and ALL involved. Tune in tomorrow, Friday the Thirteenth, for round two, as District Attorney Kari Brandenburg joins us between 4:30 & 5:11pm.

SANTA FE BECOMES RED LIGHT DISTRICT:

Just kidding folks, well kind of. Be on the lookout for red lights and make sure you stop at them or you’ll find yourself in pictures, because as soon as three months, the red light cameras will be in place. I hope the Mayor of Santa Fe doesn’t drive like Mayor Chavez of Albuquerque. Speaking of Abq. & SF, be sure to tell everyone you know about AM1000, 94.7FM and

http://mykkim.com, so they can listen to the station 24/7!

SPEAKING OF RED LIGHTS:

We need to put a STOP to the mugging of 90 year old women and another woman on West Alameda Street, who was pulled out of her wheelchair. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, so let’s tell it like it is. Church, we need to take back our cities and take care of Widows & Orphans. Keep listening to KKIM for the Wood For Widows spots and get ALL of the men in your fellowships involved with Mark Johnson and his team.

JIMMY HOFFA FOUND:

BIG NEWS, well not SO BIG, since we’re talking about Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa, who says, “Congress has once and for all killed the Bush administration’s expensive and illegal pilot project to open the boarder to Mexican trucks.” Remember Ross Perot and all of his charts. The way I see it, Bill Clinton was the one who started NAFTA.

POSSIBLE FUTURE NM GOVERNOR WORKS WITH CONVICTED KILLER:

No joke folks, Val Kilmer worked on a movie for Sony Pictures, where Clifton Bloomfield played the part of a convict serving time in a violent prison. The Director of “Felon” thought Bloomfield was an actor, not a mass-murderer. Do your homework before you vote!

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW:

ALL this weekend we’re looking for rain, snow and cold. I guess the groundhog was right this year. Dewey wants me to remind you all of our New History Feature Fridays and Pastor Leonard Navarre, host of Your Bible Boost, is bringing a very special guest to our studio tomorrow, so you don’t want to miss hearing THE TRUTH. Keep praying for KKIM and TGIF! Blessings In Jesus,

Reverend Mark F. Tross

Let us Pray,

Oh Lord,

Pace our lives that we may stay in step with YOU.

We are tired of running ahead only to later lag behind, exhausted and heart broken.

In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
