Today at 10am CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

I will be Preaching at Ekklesia Church at 10am this morning. Ekklesia is located at 800 Polaris Blvd at the Star Heights Rec Center in Rio Rancho.

Next Sunday I will be preaching at the First Baptist Church of Espanola.

I pray that I will see you!

I will be sharing on total surrender to God, The Call of God, Forgiveness, The True meaning of Memorial Day.

I just share what God puts on my heart! They are not my words!

As many of you know who listen to KKIM and NM News and Views Chuck Colson is coming to Albuquerque on August 25th. Bill Redmond also told us the other day that Os Guinness will be at the same event. Guinness wrote the book, "The Call" WOW this is so exciting!

This is from the book, "The Call" Have you answered your calling from God?

Do you want the best and most wonderful gifts God has given you to decay, spent on your own self? or do you want them to be set free to come into their own as you link your profoundest abilities with your neighbor's need and the glory of God?
Listen to Jesus of Nazareth; answer his call.

If you would like me to come share with your Church or organization, just email me! I will go anywhere to Preach for my Lord!

Revival is underway in New Mexico.......be part of it!!! Let us continue to break down walls!

Just a reminder..............

Jerry Stewart's Memorial Day Special air's at 2pm today and 4:30 Memorial Day on KKIM!

Tune into our TV program tonight at 7pm on KAZQ CH.32 Comcast 22 as we talk about the Jubilee Festival this Friday in the Duke City! Go to www.mykkim.com for more details. KKIM will have a booth.....hope to see you!

Sharon, Lord Willing, will be with me at most of these appearances.

A CUP From HAITI/PAKISTAN KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Wisdom and Peace of our LORD be with you and yours forever and ever.

WOW! Yesterday we had two outstanding interviews on NM News and Views. First we had Pastor/FMR Congressman Bill Redmond talking about the GOP race for Gov and Chuck Colson's visit to New Mexico in August.......Catholics and Evangelicals coming to together for this event. Revival is going strong in New Mexico! Then we went LIVE TO HAITI! One of our KKIM Ministry Sponsors, Robert Montoya of Extreme Green design is in Haiti working with the Government and others to see if his company can be a part of rebuilding Haiti. Robert said the destruction is unbelievable........tent cities all over, naked children, dying people, the tragedy get's worse, not better. Most of America has moved on........Please ask God what HE would have you do!

I have to tell you, I am seeing God do great works through KKIM and NM News and Views, God is really using this program for HIS GLORY!

By the way our friends at www.feedingthenations.org are in Haiti and are doing a lot of Godly work. Help Pastor Steve and crew serve God's people in Haiti. Tom Lewis and Pastor Robert Lewis were with us in March raising money for Feeding The Nations. They are such Dear, Dear Friends............and you still can give.....pray right now and go to the web site, over 95% of what you give goes right to the field!

By the way Robert has posted some video of Haiti at his web site www.extremegreendesign.com

Last night at the Los Lunas Church of God, My Dear Friend Bishop Salamat Khokhar was with us. www.bskm.org His message was JUST PLAIN OUTRSTANDING! Here is just one part of the message that really hit home with me.......but first just let me say that the Bishop has become one of my mentor's, I have learned so much from him in a short time. Total surrender to the Lord! TOTAL SURROUNDER! The Bishop is from Pakistan and I pray if the Lord will's, to go there some day.

Bishop Khokhar said last night if David of the Bible lived here today the Church would crucify him! David sure had his flaws........but look how he loved God and God so loved him!

We all have our flaws for heavens sake! I found that interesting since Ted and Gayle Haggard had just been here and I had met them and had them on KKIM. The Church kicked them out of their Town!

There is a huge lesson in this for all of us!

By the way Pastor Alan Hawkins says that Ted Haggard has an upcoming major announcement..stay tuned.

The Bishop has helped me through the Holy Spirit to have more of a hunger for God!
Oh , how David had a hunger for our Lord!

Let us read Psalm 27:4

I have asked one thing from the LORD;

it is what I desire:

to dwell in the house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

gazing at the beauty of the LORD

and seeking HIM in HIS temple.

AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

Let us all develop more and more of a hunger for GOD!

Also read Psalm 51 please.........

We love you all and are praying for you all........We thank you for your prayers and support of our family, KKIM/KARS and the CUP!

Let us pray............

LORD, thank you for your servants like Salamat Khokhar........thank you for brining him here to New Mexico.....as he prepares to go back to Pakistan we pray for his safety and for his return to the United States in August or September with his entire family.....Your Will be done in all these matters.......We pray for Robert Montoya as he is in Haiti trying to help your people.............Oh, Lord show us what we should do for your children in Haiti.......We pray for the upcoming gathering of your people in New Mexico with Chuck Colson on August 25th.......In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

"It requires faith and a vision from God to effectively use Gospel radio. The one speaking into a cold microphone never sees or hears about most results from his radio program. If a person must see responses as he serves the Lord, he probably will not last long in a radio ministry."

Let us put our Toe in the water CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Please pray for my Dear, Dear Friend Charlie Hickman of Laporte, Indiana. The Doctor's believe that Charlie's kidney's are failing. Charlie and Lavella Hickman were one of my best Friends when I worked at WCOE Radio in Laporte, Indiana and they owned Hickman's SuperValu. Many of you in the Laporte area who read the CUP know of Charlie and Lavella. I would stop out at the store and Lavella would always have some goodies for me to eat........and Charlie would slice me some of that good cheese he had in the meat Dept.....Lavella always used to tease me...Yes, Dewey, all rats love cheese!!!!! LOL! LOL! I'm telling you that was good cheese! Oh yes! Who can forget Charlie's wonderful WonderRoast Chicken!!! WOW!

I have been so blessed to be in radio and meet so many Godly people all over the World, in the last 35 years! PRAISE GOD!

Art Linkletter passed away yesterday at 97. We payed tribute to this wonderful man last night on NM News and Views. When I think of Linkletter, I think CLEAN! This man of radio and TV served our LORD so well......You know you are getting old when you say to some that Art Linkletter passed away....and they say..who?

Helen Adams Keller 1880-1968 was a famous American author and lecturer who overcame the tremendous obstacles of being both blind and deaf. She wrote several books.

Helen Keller wrote this:

Just as all things upon earth represent and image forth all the realities of another world, so the Bible is one mighty representative of the whole spiritual life of humanity.

I thank God for my handicaps, for, through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God.

Four things to learn in life:

To think clearly without hurry or confusion;

To love everybody sincerely;

To act in everything with the highest motives;

To trust God unhesitatingly.

AWESOME words from Helen Adams Keller. There is a great bunch of writings like from Keller in William J. Federer's book, America's God and Country!

The words...........To act in the highest motives..........right there is where American Society got itself in this mess........not having good motives.

Thinking clearly without hurry or confusion........Does society allows us to think anymore? hardly.......the world would have you not think clearly! Our Society moves so fast now.......it is built for confusion......My friend Shauna Rampley of Soaring Eagle Institute told me yesterday there is so much confusion and bad energy moving around our world today. It is easy to get sucked into it. That is why we need to be in the Word, Pray and Listen...Listen for the Holy Spirit to guide you.....to give you the answerers. Do not allow yourself to become part of the Worldly confusion and anger out there! It does not know God.

A friend asked me yesterday about making a decision on hiring someone........and I said the Lord had not moved me in that area. What? I said that the Lord will guide me through this process.....it is not of my timing, but HIS.

I got a prayer letter from Angel Murchison again......Angel hosts Destiny Moments on KKIM Friday's at 2:30pm. She is getting ready to go to Israel. Please keep her in your prayers. I have never had anyone write me letters like Angel does, besides my Mom.....who used to write me all the time.

There is no doubt in my mind that Angel has been given such a gift by our Lord.

I want to share with you a bit of Angel's prayer letter.........

So Today Lord show Dewey, Sharon and staff their next supernatural assignment, their next divine appointment. Send them out Lord beyond their current territory I pray. Lord may they continue to be sensitive to your Holy Spirit, may they have wisdom beyond their years, and may they continually be in a state of prayer always listening for your voice, your direction. I join my faith with theirs today Lord. Your air waves, your people, your listeners, your bills. Just as You supernaturally provided for Israel, you will supernaturally provide for them. That's what faith is. Lord we put our toe in the water and pray, "Lord is this you?" and then You lead and we walk on the water. You meet the need in ways we couldn't think or imagine. Lord we repent of any small thinking. AMEN!!!! AMEN!!!

And that's just a part of Angel's prayer letter......Don't you just get chills reading her prayer......she has such belief in our Lord......you can tell that the way she prayers. I think we can all learn from Angel.

Let us all put our toe in the water everyday and ask.....Lord is this you? Do not get caught up in the Worldly confusion.

Let us pray...........

Lord, Let us all be in constant prayer and listen for YOU. Let us blank out the Worldly confusion that surrounds us. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

We have a GREAT STORY for you this morning from Roy and LeeAnn........thanks folks! We appreciate it when you all send us CUPS of GOODNESS!!
In the story these words are used........What ever happened to them in the American Vocabulary?

Honesty..........Goodness...Humility........perseverance........consideration.......hard work....forgiveness........read the story below it is wonderful!

Wait please........I have to repeat this DYNAMITE quote from yesterday because it fits today's CUP! Print it out!! post it everywhere!!!!!!!!!

"If successful people have one common trait, it's an utter lack of cynicism. The world owes them nothing. They go out and find what they need without asking for permission; they're driven, talented and work through negatives by focusing on the positives." Mike Zimmerman, Journalist

First I want to pass along a couple of important announcements from Jose Vasquez The New Mexico Watchman. Jose and his wife Miki have served the Christian Community here in New Mexico so well over the last several years, keeping us informed of issues that effect the Christian way of life. They have been GODLY partners with KKIM. This election for Gov of New Mexico is one of the most important, if not the most important, in the History of the State. Since last Friday we have been having special reports on the GOP Race for Gov. Tonight on NM News and Views we will have Heath from NM Politics as our guest to give us his take on the run for Gov.Our second message comes from my Pastor Jim Montoya. Bishop Khokhar is back!! We have the announcement below....read on!

Dear Friends,

A week from today, on Tuesday, June 1, New Mexico's primary election will take place. Only a small percentage of New Mexican's will vote, however, this election will have major consequences for our state and for the Christian community.

Through various sources, including personal interviews, phone calls and various media outlets, we have compiled the following report on New Mexico's gubernatorial candidates.

The focus of this report is, "Which candidate will governor from a Christian worldview given their responses to abortion and domestic partnerships."

We would encourage your prayers for the candidates and for the upcoming election.

Thank you and God bless you.

CANDIDATES FOR THE

NEW MEXICO GOVERNORSHIP

May 2010

DIANE D. DENISH (D) Recommendation: STRONGLY OPPOSE

Score: 0 (out of 10)

Abortion STRONGLY PRO-ABORTION

Domestic Partnerships STRONGLY PRO-DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS

National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) the pro-abortion lobby, has been a major contributor to Ms. Denish's campaign. When asked last legislative session how she would cast her tie-breaking vote on domestic partnerships, Denish said she would proudly vote in favor of domestic partnerships. Ms. Denish was the 2008 parade marshal for Santa Fe's Gay Pride Parade.

Diane Denish is in total opposition to a Christian worldview on both issues.

JANICE ARNOLD-JONES (R) Recommendation: OPPOSE

Score: 5 (out of 10)

Abortion: HEDGEING ON ABORTION

Domestic Partnerships: HEDGEING ON DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS

Ms. Arnold-Jones state life is sacred but follows with "abortion is the law of the land." She states she would "probably" not sign a domestic partnerships bill

Janice Arnold-Jones presents a marginal view on theses issues. There are a number of candidates with much stronger positions.

PETER DOMINICI (R) Recommendation: STRONGLY SUPPORT

Score 10 (out of 10)

Abortion: STRONGLY ANTI-ABORTION

Domestic Partnerships: STRONGLY ANTI-DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS

Mr. Dominici would take a "start over" position on abortion making it illegal again and then deal with the exceptions. He stands strongly for traditional marriage.

Peter Dominici's stance on re-thinking abortion is refreshing.

SUSANA MARTINEZ (R) Recommendation: SUPPORT

Score 9 (out of 10)

Abortion: ANTI-ABORTION

Domestic Partnerships: ANTI-DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS

Ms. Martinez stands strongly for traditional marriage and against abortion as a current form of birth control.

Susana Martinez's stance on these issues is consistent with a Christian worldview.

DOUG TURNER (R) Recommendation: OPPOSE

Score 2 (out of 10)

Abortion: WISHY-WASHY ON ABORTION

Domestic Partnerships: WISHY-WASHY ON DOMESETIC PARTNERSHIPS

Mr. Turner libertarian answers to questions are elusive. He told the Santa Fe Reporter "I'm not interested in legislating any definition of marriage," which is fine in anything other than the real world.

Doug Turner's middle of the road, non offensive, political-speak makes him a candidate we don't need.

ALLAN WEH (R) Recommendation: SUPPORT

Score 8 (out of 10)

Abortion: ANTI-ABORTION with the exception of incest and rape.

Domestic Partnerships: ANTI-DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS

Mr. Weh has been a member of Calvary Albuquerque for the past 13 years.

Although Weh's position on abortion is grieves to some in the Catholic community, most would accept his position as realistic.

Allan Weh has consistently presented a Christian worldview and agreed from the start to make these issues part of his campaign.

Here's an interesting story.

Roy & LeeAnn

The Seed

A successful business man was growing old and
knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.
Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children,
he decided to do something different. He called all the young
executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO.
I have decided to choose one of you.. "The young executives were
Shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one
of you a SEED today - one very special SEED.. I want you to plant
the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with
what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then
judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be
the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others,
received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the
story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted
the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had
grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began
to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.
Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.
By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have
a plant and he felt like a failure.
Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he
had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but
he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however.
He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the
seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company
brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.
Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot.
But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick
to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment
of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot
to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety
of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful --
in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and
many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young
executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees,
and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will
be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with
his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to
the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a
failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened
to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim,
and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next
Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow
his seed.

"How could he be the new CEO?" the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this
room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it,
and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds;
they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and
flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you
substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the
only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with
my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new
Chief Executive Officer!"

* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust.

* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.

* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.

* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment.

* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.

* If you plant hard work, you will reap success.

* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.

So, be careful what you plant now;
it will determine what you will reap later.

Thanks Roy and LeeAnn! What a message! WOW! AWESOME! DYNAMITE!

Let us pray.........

Lord, help us not to settle for superficial relationships with people. Let us have GODLY relationships. Let us be BOLD in our faith and love. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

The Body of Christ CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

WOW! There is nothing like God's timing..........the past several weeks have been very tough........yesterday the phone rang as I was going to lunch.......it was SE Coleman, our Missionary friend, who was traveling the back roads of Illinois, said the Lord put me on her heart and she called me to say she was praying for me! There is nothing like the Body of Christ! It is so AWESOME knowing you have people praying for you.......It keeps Sharon and I going!

Knowing that the entire Church, at Cross of Hope prays for Sharon and I each day........How AWESOME is that!

One of the greatest blessings that Sharon and I have received is the family we have here at KKIM and the CUP! Thank you for your prayers.

PRAYER IS LIKE DYNAMITE! SO POWERFUL!!!!!

Listen for the Lord today.........go to a quiet place......and listen..........

What do people do that do not believe in our Lord and don't have the Body of Christ?

What a miserable way to live!

Heights Christian Church lost last night to the Demon Hunters 23-22! One run! The Demon Hunters are a neat team! The team is made up of a Christian group of Students from UNM!

Now here is an AWESOME quote..........

This is lacking today in the work force of America!

"If successful people have one common trait, it's an utter lack of cynicism. The world owes them nothing. They go out and find what they need without asking for permission; they're driven, talented and work through negatives by focusing on the positives."
By Mike Zimmerman, Journalist

Positive minds produce positive lives. Negative minds produce negative lives. Positive thoughts are always full of FAITH and HOPE! Negative thoughts are always full of fear and doubt. Joyce Meyer

......it shall be done for you as you have believed......Matthew 8:13

Let us check the mailbag.........

Dewey, What a great message about courage!

Lately, you really often have a provocative reference, or what you say
makes me think of some Bible passage - so I keep a Bible at hand when
reading the Daily Cup. How about this on courage, from when Moses
died and the Lord was encouraging Joshua:

6 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to
inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong
and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses
gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may
be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart
from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be
careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and
successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not
be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with
you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:6-9, NIV - from http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/

Thank you, Dewey, for ally you do. You are a great blessing from the
Lord to New Mexico!

Miki

WOW – planned to email you today about fantastic service we received at Dearholt Auto. Here came your testimony of DuPont Detailing!

We took our diesel truck to Dearholt Auto for a “second opinion” on a very costly repair quote made by a local dealer. David took excellent care to explain how the truck would be examined. He took just as much care to explain the mechanic’s findings. The repair turned out to be not as extensive as the dealer quoted. The cost was a fraction of the dealer’s quote. Bless G-d for his servants at Dearholt!

Know that we pray 4 U and the plain-speaking servants at KKIM Radio Ranch. The Body of Christ needs to hear the Plain Truth, not only in these crucial days before the Gubernatorial Primary, but ALWAYS! All y’all do it so faithfully & so well – to the Glory of Our G-d!

Love ‘ya,

Eric and Chris

Jim Dearholt says he sure gets response from his advertising on KKIM! I hear that more and more! Would you please pray about becoming a KKIM Ministry sponsor? Christian Radio is a way to bring Christians together.......Christians doing business with Christians....We give our Ministry sponsors the KKIM seal approval.....you can shop them with confidence!

Thanks to Miki, Nicole, and Eric and Chris for their letters! God Bless you all!

We would love to hear from you!

Let us pray................

Father, Let us remember that life is all about love. Today we will take the time to love the people you place in our path! Remind us that loving others is never a waste of time. Teach us to love those who seem unlovable and give them what they need. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

URGENT PRAYER

Dear KKIM Family,

We have this prayer need..........

I just talked to Linda Page of Car Pro's Auto Sales here in Albuquerque. They are such Godly friends of KKIM!

Linda and Joe are in San Francisco as their daughter, Carrie Chavez is to undergo brain surgery. Carrie had a fall and the Doctor's are going to attempt to work with her nerve endings in her brain to put a stop to the extreme pain she is in.

Please keep Carrie and the entire family in your prayers.

Just one more thing the Lord has really put on my heart........

I called my friend Paulette to have her boys detail our two cars. Paulette said the boys had sold the business to a relative. I called DuPont Detailing owned by Manuel and Martha Parra at 659-6337. WOW do they do good work! They will come right to your home or work! Tell him Dewey sent you! God Bless you!

Manuel moved his family here from Mexico........as the violence is horrendous. What a work ethic........give him a call.

While Manuel and family were working on the cars, another man stopped by the house he was from Mexico and he was very poor and was in the process of going back to Mexico to sell old appliances that he was collecting here. He could not speak English and Manuel had to interpret........a very poor man, he wanted our broken down hot water heater. Manuel said that, "Dewey you would be surprised what we can fix in Mexico.....we take your junk and make it work."

We need to be in prayer for Mexico, it is a country at war........

Sharon has been to Mexico on Medical trips as a nurse.........she has seen the poorest of the poor........She had a lady try to give her, her sick baby to take back to America.

We ask, "Where does God fit into the story of my life?"

when the real question is,

"Where does my little life fall into the great story of God's mission?"

Christopher J. H. Wright

Monday CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Strength, Wisdom and Peace of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

I have been praying all morning for what the Lord will have me write to you.........

Let us pray for the firefighters fighting the Bosque Fire near Corrales, NM. The winds are very strong this morning.

There is more than one fire here in New Mexico as conditions are so ripe for Fire........dry, very low humidity (If any) and strong winds.

"The degree of blessing we enjoy will correspond directly with the completeness of God's victory over us." AW Tozer

Love this from Billy Graham........

I am selling the greatest product in the world. Why shouldn't it be promoted as well as soap?

Do not dwell on the past. See, i am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43: 18-19

The Lord has put a Memorial Day message on my heart that I will be delivering at Ekkesia Church in Rio Rancho Sunday morning at 10am. Sharon and I would love to see you there.

Then the following Sunday I will be in Espanola preaching at the First Baptist Church! For God's Glory Alone!

Don't forget that on June 4th KKIM will have a booth at the Jubilee Festival.we will be giving away prizes and we will have some surprises for you! Go to my kkim for details.

Then coming up Fathers Day KKIM will be at the Classic Car show at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood!

For God's Glory Alone!!!!!

Sharon and I hope to meet you at one of our appearances or all of them!!!!!!!!!! WOW that would be AWESOME!

I think I got a little bug last week and it really hit me Saturday. Please pray that I shake it off rather quickly.

I am mourning how the race for Republican Gov has turned.......It has turned nasty.......and mourn the fact that this campaign could not focus on the issues that are affecting the people of this state.......instead we have to watch all the mud slinging here in the closing days........It is not how Jesus would have it.........

I am mourning the fact that I have not been back home for 5 years........I miss my family back there........Miss the graduation of Megan and Emily..and many other family events! My sister Deb, brother Daryl and Dave and Uncle Joe!

I am mourning that our leaders cannot seem to figure out that the Oil leak in the Ocean needs prayers........Divine intervention......We need to call for a week of prayer and fasting.......

I am mourning the fact that there is no end in sight for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I watched a special on the Vietnam War last night on the History Channel.......My Buddy Roger Carey from Windom, Minn one of my best friends ever was killed in Vietnam........The Vietnam War and the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have many similarities. At the rate we are going we will never win those wars. There will be another war that breaks out in the Mid-East.

Even if we pull out these countries will remain at war.

My prayer is that this Country will prepare itself for many, many men and women who will need to rebuild their lives after these wars.....if they ever end..........many returning home are so injured and disabled.......physically and mentally.......these wars are taking a great toll on our young people. Our leaders have not prepared for the return of our soldiers.

We are asking these great men and women to risk their lives everyday with really no direction from leadership...no plan.

Does anyone else feel that it really seems that most Americans have become numb to these wars? That many don't even seem to care?

Many wait for the economy to recover......it will never be the same..........this is the playing field we are on now........

There are so many issues in our Country today.......and they get caught up in negative campaigning and a bunch of NOTHING NOISE.......here is the TRUTH: There are no leaders out there that will solve these problems........the system is broke........we kicked God out of it.

It has been a long time since Santa Fe or Washington D.C. has served the People. Most of the folks serve themselves.

Jesus came to serve not to be served.

Until America Repents our struggles will get greater.

My prayer is that many will see the light during these times and accept Christ.

Jesus Christ is the only answer!

Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28 19-20 niv

Points to Ponder.........You were made for a mission.

Question to consider.........What fears have kept you from fulfilling the mission God made you to accomplish? What keeps you from telling others the Good News?

To lighten the LOAD this from Merry: Love it!

I could walk around the yard barefoot with safety..

My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.

All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of hair.

When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel.

When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there.

I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, with out taking into consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable.

I would have money, and no guilt to go on a real vacation.
I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians, as I put their yet unborn grandkids through college.

The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay, and leave it ALONE.
My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers.

I would not talk 'baby talk'. 'Eat your din din'. 'Yummy yummy for the tummy'...
My house would not look like a day care center, toys everywhere.

My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats and an extra leash.

I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, W-A-L-K, T-R-E-A-T, O-U-T, G-O, R-I-D-E,

C-O-O-K-I-E

I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.

I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog/cat ties them down too much.

I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading 'mud' season.

I would not have to answer the question 'Why do you have so many animals?' from people who will never have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by someone as close to an angel as they will ever get.
How EMPTY my life would be!!!

Let us pray...........

Our prayer today Lord is that many will see the light and give their lives to YOU! That more of us will fulfill the Great Commission. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

CUP of COURAGE with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and your forever and ever.

The Lord is my rock,

and my fortress,

and my deliverer.

Psalm 18:2

How are you? It is such a beautiful morning here in the Duke City! PRAISE GOD! I also get the day off!!! LOL! I think.........

Yesterday on NM News and Views we had the replay of part of the Republican Gov candidates from their May 12th appearance at the Albuquerque Economic forum. We played back the first 40 minutes of it last night as all five candidates were answering the question, why they are running for Gov. of New Mexico. We thank KANW Radio for providing us with the broadcast! I love it when broadcasters work together, that is what we are called to do.....serve the public! We may play back some more from the forum this coming week, we will let you know. It was a good broadcast as KKIM/KARS listeners got to hear more than a 30 sec. clip from the candidates. If the Lord Wills we may play it again.

It is not everyday when you see Christian Radio able to work with Public Radio. God is in this. For God's Glory Alone!

Thank you Michael Brasher General Manager and Kevin Otero Program Director of KANW!

I also praise God on how are relationship is growing with KAZQ TV!!!!

Please tell 10 people today about NM News and Views, weekdays at 4:30 and the weekend edition at 8am. www.mykkim.com

Please keep us in your prayers and we reach out further, following the direction of the Lord.

We are not directed by the voices of others, but that of the Holy Spirit in all we do........in all we do.........The Lord paves the way before us...........

I am thankful for my family and doggies.......I am thankful for your friendship........I am thankful for a day off.........I am thankful that I have family chores to do today.........

Let me leave you with this...............

In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better. President Harry S. Truman (One of my favorite Presidents, rose from very humble beginnings, served our Country in war......and became President....made tough decisions..history looks better on him than folks did when he was alive)

How Great leaders respond and learn...........

Summon Courage

Learn from failure

Learn from Trauma and Betrayal

Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all the others. Winston Churchill

I ask you my Dear Friends.........I don't hear the word, COURAGE much at all in our society or in the Church, I don't hear people talking about it........I just usually hear people complain about so and so........HAVE COURAGE IN OUR LORD........BE BOLD IN OUR LORD........HAVE GODLY COURAGE.......Just don't sit back and complain and send or forward negative emails!!!! Too many people that call themselves CHRISTIANS, JUST COMPLAIN, SEND NEGATIVE EMAILS, FORWARD NEGATIVE EMAILS......what does that achieve? NOTHING IT IS NOTHING NOISE!!!How do I know? I get plenty!

What would the Lord have you do?

GODLY COURAGE! When the Lord directs your life you will have GODLY COURAGE!

Let us pray...........

Lord, I pray today that Your people will develop courage in YOU, LORD, YOU alone! I pray that they will turn their lives, 100% over to YOU! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Weekend CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

Let James 4 soak into your heart and soul........

PRAISE GOD...........I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people. 2 Corinthians 12:9 lb

I am grieving over how the race for the Republican candidate for Gov. of New Mexico is turning out.........Pastor Paul Holt hit the nail on the head last night, just tell the truth, be Godly......Pastor Larry Moss said, It has been polled that the public now expects and approves of negative campaigning! How sad.......I am praying........

I Praise GOD for sending us Pastor Larry Moss,Pastor Paul Holt,Pastor Mark Tross, Pastor Harry Chapman and Pastor Leonard Navarre, what GODLY Men that add so much to NM News and Views!

Dr. Larry Bates call's them, Dewey's army of Pastor's!!!!! I call it ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS!!! For GOD's Glory Alone! I love that song.....Onward Christian Soldiers, I miss hearing it!

Wow, can you see what God is doing? He is brining so many people together to be the Salt and Light!

I see walls tumbling down that man built......Open Doors! God's people coming together! It is so exciting!! I really believe that REVIVAL is underway here in New Mexico!

I would love to see you at these upcoming places where I will be preaching........

May 30th at Ekklesia Church in Rio Rancho at 10am on June 6th I would love to see many KKIM FM listeners at the First Baptist Church in Espanola at 10:45am. Now I won't be preaching but on June 4th KKIM will be at the Jubilee Festival, we will have a booth. So make sure and stop by and register for prizes and get your new KKIM Book marks, the new edition, that Merigan designed........they are so Patriotic! Let me say that Lord Willing I will be at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood on Fathers Day for their annual Classic Car Show. KKIM will have a booth there also. So it is shaping up to be a very busy summer! For God's Glory Alone! Did you read James 4? Let the Lord's Will be done in all this. You can check many of this out at www.mykkim.com

We have this update from Yvette on her Micro-premature nephews we have been praying for, Jude and Valdez. They are now 11 weeks old. They are doing fine, but they have a long road ahead of them in the hospital. Please continue to pray.

The boys are located right here in Albuquerque.

Thanks for the update Yvette. We will continue to life them up in our prayers. Please put the boys on your Church's prayer list.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer states this in his ETHICS.....

"Who stands fast? Only the man whose final standard is not his reason, his principles, his conscience, his freedom, or his virtue, but who is ready to sacrifice all this when he is called to obedient and responsible action in faith and in exclusive allegiance to God----the responsible man, who tries to make his whole life an answer to the question and call of God. Where are these responsible people?

What a statement by Bonhoeffer.........I am blessed to know many who are making there whole life an answer to the question and call of God. AMEN!

I took that from the Book, The Call by Os Guinness........you really need to read this book,,,,,,,,,to me one of the greatest failures of the Christian life is living a life without answering your call from God.

This also from the book.......

What entitles us to make promises when our own frail humans would do better to pray than vow? Apart from the call there is no responding and no responsibility. Only with this responsibility we are enabled, not entitled, to make promises that echo even weakly the covenant behind the call.

My prayer for you is that you have answered the Call of God..............That you are using your life for what HE intended you to use it for.

This is great sent in by Roy and LeAnn........

URGENT PRAYER

Please pray for long-time Reader of the CUP Sam......She is the Artist that was commissioned to do the statute of Actor Ken Curtis, who played Festus in Gunsmoke. The Statue is located in Old Town of Clovis, California.(Remember the picture I shared with you all when Sharon and I had our picture taken with Festus?) Sam has been such a Dear, Dear, friend in Christ, over the last several years..........

Dearest Dewey, AND Sharon.
I must first tell you what a blessing you both have been to me. And you have brightened up many days.I truly thank you for that.
I have been diagnosed with an uncurable disease. Two, as a matter of fact. My body is just tired I suppose. But I know my faith will see me through this. Our Lord is with me, He is my Shepard. And together we will face what lies ahead. I will know in a few weeks just how long I have, according to man..:) So I will keep you posted while I can.
With all the love in me, sam
May God's Peace and Grace continue with you all the days of your lives. And we shall meet on the other side, singing and rejoicing in our Savior.

ps to cup

Life is to be lived------here and now!

I am singing and shouting PRAISES and THANKS to our LORD! yes, I am nuts!!! Nuts for my Lord.........more and more people think I am nuts!!!

Sadly, very few people know how to live each day to day to the fullest! But you can be one of them. Jesus said that Satan, the enemy, comes to steal your life. (John 10:10) Don't allow him to do it any longer!

More on this Lord Willing tomorrow...........also read James 4

Thur Cup with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,,

May The Strength,Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

Just got a note here from our Dear, Dear friend Jose in Santa Fe that Doreen Hanna, President and Founder of Treasured Celebrations and Resident of Santa Fe, NM is on Focus on The Family today on KKIM/KARS at 6am, 1pm and same times tomorrow. Thank you Brother Jose!

This morning we have a special Good Morning to Pastor Ray Franks, Pastor Jesse Dompreh, Janice E Arnold Jones, Jan Capehart, Pastor Robert Lewis and Tom Lewis, and Dustin The Lord has really put you folks on my heart today! God Bless you!

Please keep Pastor Ray Franks in your prayers and he is recovering from heart surgery. Pastor Ray is so special to us as he was the first DJ on KKIM Radio! Also Jan Capehart, the wife of Pastor Marvin Capehart, host of Ask The Pastor on KKIM, Jan is recovering from hip replacement.

We pray for all on our address book every morning........Part of my time with the Lord in the morning as I prepare the CUP for you is time reading scripture, praying, and listening to our Lord. If I do not start my day like this it would be like driving my car in reverse to work!!!! LOL! LOL! Some may say that I do that anyhow! Lars says my humor is so corny!!!! LOL LOL

Why do we pray? For the Love and care of our Lord

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right,

for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and

relax our courage and faint. Galatians 6:9

In Galatians 6:9 Paul is telling us to keep going! Don't be a quitter! Don't have that old give it up spirit! God is looking for people who will go all the way through Him! AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

Yesterday was such a blessed time for Lars and I. We had a great trip to NMSU. Thank you for your prayers! We will see what the Lord has planned for Lars. Keep us in your prayers. Lars is so intelligent in his field of Computers, Movies, animation, photography.....etc.. He needs to be challenged and the program at NMSU is one of the top in the Country! What an excellent facility!

It got me thinking that we have to stay focused on our youth........that's were Galatians 6:9 comes in.......we have to keep on keeping on........we have to be the salt and light of the World! We have to pave the way for our Children. I am not happy about what kind of shape we have left this world in for your children and their children! We must not give up!

And the Lord your God will clear out those nations before you, little by little; you may not consume them quickly, lest the beasts of the field increase among you.
Deuteronomy 7:22

How intimate is your relationship with the Lord?

When Lars and I were at NMSU we of course had to stop at the Campus bookstore....I picked up another copy of Joyce Meyer's book, Battlefield of the Mind, I read that book years ago and hand out every copy I get my hands on.....There is such a battle going on in many people.........Negative thoughts.........sinful thoughts.......hurting thoughts.......If you know someone who is hurting pray about giving them this book it is excellent. It may strengthen their walk with Jesus Christ.

How is your walk with Jesus today?

Because the Lord loves us so...we must not be afraid of the answer HE will give us.......

Let us pray...........

Lord we come today and Thank You again for the Body of Christ! May we be BOLD in YOU! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Quick 4am CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

It is 3:46am as I write this note to you all.

I am going to get ready to take Lars to NM State in Las Cruces to look over the University.

But first let me share this with you.........

I went to bed early last night at about 7:30..yes I am an old man.......old fashion I think.......LOL!

WOW been a long time since I have heard that term....old fashion.you don't hear that anymore......

Anyhow from hitting my head on that pillow until about 3am God was speaking to me. My head is so full.......the overwhelming message that God gave me last night was, Man has made my message so complicated.......My message is simple.........

I believe that all this came about as I was in a discussion yesterday with some Pastors about Ted Haggard, some are having a tough time forgiving him. I just said, Am I missing something here, but I think Jesus message is really simple here, we are to forgive.

Ted may slip again..........like many of us have, but we are to forgive and love him.

And earlier in the day I got a quote from my friend Ross that his Pastor made........I wish I had it exactly as the Pastor said but I left it at the office...but it said something like this.....

When we became a Christian we gave up our right to pick and chose who we love.

And then when I see all the discourse around me..with all the news stories........of hate......corruption.......immigration..........

God sent me a powerful message last night........we have complicated God's message..I'm waiting on the next Church program to right the World.......The Proper way for Christians to tie their shoes!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!!

It seems the Church has more programs than ever to right the World but we are losing the message of Jesus!

Where has the good old fashion Preaching gone?

Anyhow, God talked to me for the longest time last night..the longest HE has ever!

I will do my best to do what my Lord has set before me.......

God has been so good to me.........

Gods message is one that is very simple, but very loving, the best love ever. HIS son died for us.

Last night God told me that we should not quickly dismiss the death of Deputy McGrane. We need to learn from the death of this wonderful man, Deputy McGrane. I talked about that last night on NM News and Views.

That's all for now..but I Praise God for the "EVEN KEEL" that HE has put me on. maybe I am to old for this World,Even Keel ,is also an old expression, it means steady, very steady, level headed. Level Headed in the Lord.

Sharon and I are on the most exciting adventure ever........with the Lord..........

And remember....God is there with you.......just listen............just listen for HIM!

The Holy Spirit will come to you.......

Pray for a safe trip for Lars and I

God's Love to all!

Now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God---all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.

Romans 5:11

ps to CUP

I am in my office praying over the address book here at the CUP, yes we pray over your names..............praying for the unspoken prayer needs......One of my mentor's Ed Moore taught me years ago about the unspoken prayer needs.......people needing prayer but not wanting to speak of the need for their own reasons.......

I want to thank you all for your deep friendship......

Let me share this with you from Chuck Swindoll weekdays on KKIM 6:30am and pm.......

This would be a good time for you to resist going through life to live according to your own understanding------thinking if you can just climb up one or two rungs on the ladder, you'll be there. You'll have what you need. Your family will be (what's that word we like to use?)........."comfortable."

You know what your family needs more than extra money in the bank or a more impressive address or a TV in each room? They need you to be right with the Lord. That means you walk humbly with HIM. They need your gentle touch, acknowledge that He's the Lord of your home, NOT YOU! That takes humility. Go there, my friend, go there.

WOW! A FULL CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS family,

May the Strength, Peace, and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

It is such a blessing to be with you this day! Another beautiful day in Albuquerque! Good morning to you wherever you may be...........Israel, Egypt, South Africa, Florida, Minnesota, Canada, Mexico, Montana.........We hear from folks all over the Globe!

Make sure and listen to NM News and Views weekdays at 4:30 on KKIM/KARS. Remember you can listen worldwide at www.mykkim.com

Please pray over these words........

The hosts of God encamp around

The dwellings of the just.

Deliverance He affords to all

Who on His promise trust.

by Frank E. Gaebelein

If you are not obedient to God you are headed for a head on collision.

Paul refused to boast in his giftedness. Instead, he confessed, "I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me......for when I am weak, then I am strong"

Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength: they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Pastor Don Kimbro sent this.........

The way to be great is to be very little. To be very noteworthy in your own esteem is to be unnoticed by God. If you must needs dwell upon the high places of the earth, you shall find the mountain summits cold and barren. The Lord dwells with the lowly, but he knows the proud from afar off. — Charles Spurgeon, Lectures To My Students.

Let us pray over these needs...........

Please Pray a hedge of protection around my mind body and soul. Pray GOD overflows me with HIS Power,HOLY SPIRIT and Presence in my life. Pray the HOLY SPIRIT is so strong in my life that Satan and his servents will flee with terror because GODS presence is so strong in my life . Pray my body would be a strong vessel for the HOLY SPIRIT. Pray GOD raises me lightyears above Satan and those used by Satan to glorify GOD In JESUS Name... Phil from California USA

We are praying for you Phil.God Bless you my Brother........

Dearest Dewey,

My sweet Mother, Mickey, who has spent her entire 83 years on Earth doing for others, has, for the last 5 years battled Macular Degeneration - a disease which gradually robs it's victims of their vision. Although researchers have yet to find a cure, great advances have been made in staving off the progression of this horrible condition and up until very recently my mom's vision, although not optimal, was still there. In the last month or so, she has had a lot of fluid build up behind her left (good) eye which has greatly diminished her ability to see. The doctor who has been treating her suggested that they perform a laser procedure as a means of stopping the fluid build up and in hopes of restoring some of her sight. As her vision had deteriorated so suddenly and so severely, she agreed to it, hoping against hope that she could recover at least some of what had been lost.

On a seemingly unrelated note, I recently ran in to a friend of mine that I hadn't seen since we were teenagers who, as it turns out, is now an eye doctor. When I relayed my mom's situation to him, he asked if he might take a look at her, which she gladly agreed to. When he examined her, he was of the opinion that there may be a better option than the laser treatment which apparently causes irreversible scarring and in about 3% of cases, additional vision loss. He referred us to a friend of his, Dr. Chris Fuller, a Retinal Specialist here in Albuquerque - calling him personally, requesting that he see us right away, which he did.

Dr. Fuller agreed that the laser procedure was not the only course of treatment available to us - suggesting instead a round of injections - a regimen my mother already underwent (over the course of one year/per eye), but a stepped-up, heavier/more frequent dosage. He kindly explained that it was entirely up to her, but that he felt she had more hope, with less risk, by opting for the injections rather than the laser.

As my mom has grown very fond of the doctor who has been seeing her for the past five years, she was initially nervous about entrusting her eyes to anybody else, but after discussing it with her children and praying about it, she made the decision to cancel the laser (which was slated for Tuesday 5/18) and scheduled the initial injection. Ironically, the first opening they had was for the exact same day and time that she was supposed to undergo the laser treatment, so tomorrow she will have the first of three shots (one every two weeks).

I feel very strongly that Divine Intervention had me cross paths with my old friend and set the wheels in motion for my mom to get this second opinion. I can not express what a 'young' 83 my mother is. Until just these past few weeks when she had such a sudden turn for the worse she still bowled every week, worked her beloved Crossword Puzzle every day and drove herself to church on Sundays. This beautiful woman raised 7 of us (basically on her own) to know and love our sweet Savior and delights in nothing more than seeing the faces of her 20+ Grandchildren. She lost her darling husband (my Step-Father, Jimmy) in 2007 which took an enormous toll on her. I know she would be so very humbled and eternally grateful if our precious Lord saw fit to bless her with the ability to once again look upon the faces of all of us that love her immeasurably. I pray that Dr. Fuller and his staff have their hands and hearts guided by the ultimate Physician and through Him are able to provide some healing to her beautiful blue eyes.

Would you be so kind as to pass on my plea to your readers/listeners and ask that they pray for a miraculous healing tomorrow? I realize that at 83, my mother has been blessed to see so much more than most, but I wish I could somehow convey the joy and anticipation that she still greets every single day with. She has a gift of seeing true beauty in places some of us may not give a second glance - more importantly, she has the ability to make the rest of us see and appreciate said beauty...always, and without hesitation, giving all Glory to God.

I thank you, thank you, thank you for the tireless effort you put forth on behalf of the Kingdom. You, your ministries and your readers/listeners are a part of my daily prayer life.

In Him,

Taunya

The love between a Mother and Daughter is so special. We are praying Taunya!

You can really feel the Holy Spirit here at the CUP and KKIM/KARS brining so many people together!

Let us check the mailbag...........

Here is a note from Shona........

I will pray for those specific needs. Even though we KNOW that these earthly attacks originate from the place of darkness, it still makes them terrible to deal with.

You know, Dewey, I pray for you but not near as much as I should. You put yourself out there for God and KKIM and Christians in NM and all over the world, and you are as susceptible as any full-time pastor. I'm sorry you have having to deal with these distractions, but thankful that it reminds me to pray for you on a much more regular basis.

Hang in there and cling to Jesus' hem....it is a mighty thing when we feel like we are drowning in the obstacles that try to get us in over our heads!!

Shona

Shona is such a Dear!

Now from Terry in Northern New Mexico............

Dear Dewey,

Well said, God has been kind to you. I sometimes wish I had embarked on the journey with you when we
discussed that. It must be very rewarding. "Well done thou good and faithful servant"

Terry Peters

Here is a reply to my post on Immigration.............Check out all our Posts at www.deweysdailycup.com

Dewey,

Good Morning!
I want to respond today to your cup. I am very much in agreement with you.
As a nation we are in sin. And because we have disobeyed and gone on our merry way we are now in big trouble.
If you read Deut. 28: 25, 33, 36, 41, 43, 44, 48, 49-52, and Lev. 24: 16-23, you will find that God states that when a nation rejects Him, they will bring a curse upon themselves. Blessings if you obey, curses if you disobey. You said you were a simple man, is this simple enough?
Pastor Jim has been sending me the position statement of the COG. I responded to PJ and told him that their position statement is correct and I agree with it, but is incomplete. The poem, "Lady Liberty", is the ideal. In a perfect world who could disagree. But we, as a nation have now gone to far.
You mentioned in your last message to LLCOG, that their are nearly 1000 churches in NM, and attendance is in the single digits! WHY!!! After some thought I came up with this, because as a nation we don't have time for God. Dewey, can you believe it, we don't have time for God!!!
The Arizona law is man's attempt to rid ourselves of the consequences of our disobedience. We are not having a immigration problem, we're having a disobedience, or sin, problem. The solution is, go back to God. Repent! Fill up those 1000 churches, get into fellowship with the Father and the rest of His Children and seek Him. And PRAY. Is it to late? The Word says nothing is impossible for Him!!!!! Fulfill the Great Commission.
Thanks for you time, I wanted to be brief because I know you are busy man. God bless you, and keep up the good work.
Ralph

Thanks Brother Ralph!

Another response.........

Dewey,

Makes me wonder Dewey, just what part of the word illegal is not understood.

Roy & LeeAnn

Another response to Immigration posting........
Dewey,
I am always amused by the argument that illegal aliens only do jobs that Americans don't want to do. In Goshen, Indiana the Latino population has increased almost 1000 percent in the last ten years. My youngest son once worked as a certified welder for Coachmen Industries and was making 18 dollars an hour. Today that same job pays about 10 dollars an hour because of the large number of Latinos who are willing to do that job for almost half of what companies used to pay. The RV factories used to be filled with many Amish people and a lot of young people who had graduated from high school or even college but were able to make good livings working on RV's. The industry is now beginning to recover and flourish again but more than 75 percent of the jobs are held by Latinos. I grew up in San Diego and have always had a deep appreciation for the Latino culture and their devotion to God and family. I also understand why so many would flee the incredible poverty that persists South of the border. But America cannot afford to support people who come here illegally and get fake ID's so they can get food stamps and go our emergency rooms for free health care. States like Arizona and California are bankrupt because of this problem. I agree with Bill O'Reilly who has been saying for years that we need to put 15 or 20 thousand National Guard troops on our Southern border and stop the bleeding of illegal aliens. This would also put a huge crimp in drug trafficking. Mexico is a beautiful country with a wealth of resources on a par with Canada. The corrupt Governments there have kept the population in poverty. But sadly for America we need to put a sign that says "Full Up". We simply cannot afford to continue to support the millions of illegal's in our country.

Rick

Now let's get an update on Mexico from our Dear friend John Robb.........

Dear Friends,

Reports from Mexico say that your prayers are having a considerable impact there! Praise the Lord that He is answering and we are beginning to see a significant change in the attitude of the authorities towards the importance of prayer. From two sources, we have heard that the president himself and some other government dignitaries are calling for the help of pastors and other praying people in the struggle to liberate Mexico from the drug cartels with their awful evil and violence. They are coming to the opinion that without God’s help through prayer, it will be impossible to defeat the drug criminals. Let us also heed the president’s call to prayer and enter into ongoing intercession until this liberation comes! In addition, one of my colleagues recently helped start Children in Prayer in Mexico City and another is on her way down to Chihuahua this next week to help develop the CiP movement there. The prayers of the children will be crucial in bringing deliverance as well. Another dear friend will be taking a small team down in July to do a seminar on land deliverance and transformation through repentance, prayer and the application of spiritual authority.

Please pray for all of these to be used of God to raise up a strong, interconnected movement of passionate and authoritative prayer that will break the bondage over this land. Remember to keep praying for protection over the president, other government officials, the police and the army who are trying to overcome the drug cartel menace and bring these villains to justice. Continue to pray that the cartels will be thrown into greater and greater confusion and division, fighting each other and giving up their wicked business. Pray for the Mexican pastors and intercessors to be strong and prevail in their efforts. Let us together declare in authoritative, faith-filled prayer that this is the year of Mexico’s deliverance!

Beginning today in Kabul, Afghanistan will be a team retreat for Christian humanitarian workers, including the visit of an international prayer team who will support them in prayer for the deliverance of the nation from the scourge of the Taliban. This retreat and prayer effort will happen just before and during the Peace Jirga, a council of Afghan and Pakistani leaders who will meet in a crucial attempt to bring peace to their war-shattered nations. Please pray for these important spiritual and political gatherings that the Lord will give His unity, clarity and strong anointing on all those involved and that genuine peace and restoration will come to both countries. More specifically, intercede for my friend Sam who is leading this prayer initiative with his team as they meet with the believers that the Lord will give them a clear prayer strategy. He writes, “Please pray for a strong move of HIS Spirit as we cry out for Afghanistan! … the Talibans are working with an extreme witchcraft …Mohammed's relics, demonic dreams and the massive worship of the dead... we need a united prayer effort with the local leaders so, please pray that they will join in good numbers and will unite across agencies!”
Finally, once again may I remind you to focus your prayers on the Global Day of Prayer event in Cape Town, South Africa (May 18-23) which will bring a couple thousand participants together from many of the world’s 220 countries. Pray also for the IPC Intergenerational Prayer Summit that will run concurrently. Our key Focus is: The global prayer movement is tri-generational. What are the issues facing each generation that need our prayer and action? How can we work with the Lord and one another to not only strengthen and deepen the prayer experience of our own generation, but also to raise up future generations of men, women, youth and children who will serve their generations and bring Christ’s transformation to our world? We will also focus on the future of the global prayer movement and share the vision of the World Prayer Assembly. May it catch on with those here that they will carry its vision to the ends of the earth!
In addition, the leadership of several prayer and mission movements will also gather tomorrow morning, Monday, May 17, to share what is happening and seek greater heart connection and synergy. Pray for His unity, clarity and strong presence, guiding and inspiration for every meeting and individual encounter this week that a huge impact will be the result- a “new wave” for the transformation of our world. May this time be stirring and life-changing for all who take part!

Thanks so much for partnering with us wherever you are as the Lord brings all of this to mind. May you share in the joy of all He is doing to answer our united intercession!

Warm greetings from Cape Town, South Africa,

John Robb
Chairman, International Prayer Connect / Council

God's Word for you this week
"How great is your goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues." (Ps.31:19-20)

Prayer for this week
"The shelter of your presence...how precious that is to me. Thank you for bestowing your goodness upon those of us who love you and have turned to you in faith. You have opened wide your doors of protection and abundance for your people. Thank you. Help me to continually be aware of your goodness and to proclaim your goodness to those around me."

Reading for this week
"God is presently seeking for a humble, praying people that He can pour His glory through. If we will not yield to the Holy Spirit in humble obedience, He will find a people who will! Some of us may have to visit someone else's fellowship in order to experience the coming move of God. Let's not deceive ourselves, God is not committed to use us, but He is committed to remember the prayer of the humble. (Psa. 9:12). If we refuse to prescribe to the Christ honored methods of humility and prayer, we will certainly be refused for the Master's use in the coming revival."

The reverse side of calling is the temptation of conceit.

Have you Answered your call? KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

If more people answered the call of our LORD we would have less problems.

One of my most favorite times of the day is when I am having a CUP with you and sharing what God has put on my heart. It is so wonderful to be with you. Then I love it when you join me live on the radio every weekday afternoon at 4:30 on KKIM/KARS for NM News and Views.

As Pastor Larry Moss told me awhile back I have answered God's call! I am not saying that to you to brag about ...I am sharing that with you to encourage you to answer God's calling in your life.

It is so important that we answer that call..........

Os Guinness in his book, THE CALL, defines the notion of God's calling this way:

Calling is the truth that God calls us to himself so decisively that everything we are, everything we do, and everything we have is invested with a special devotion, dynamism, and direction lived out as a response to HIS summons and service.

AMEN! I had to read those words a couple of times......How are you doing with what God has called you to do with your life?

Questions to ask ourselves.........

Do you know what God has called you to do?

Have you turned your life completely over to HIM?

Does HE guide every moment of your life?

Have you devoted your life to HIM?

Calling has a vital, extended meaning in the New Testament that flowers more fully in the later history of the church. God calls people to himself, but this call is no casual suggestion. He is so awe aspiring and His summons so commanding that only one response is appropriate------a response as total and universal as the authority of the Caller. Thus in the New testament, as Jesus calls his followers to himself, he also calls them to other things and tasks: to peace, to fellowship, to eternal life, to suffering, and to service. But deeper even than these particular things, discipleship, which implies "everyone, everywhere, and in everything," is the natural and rightful response to the Lordship of Christ. As Paul wrote the followers of Christ in the little town of Colosse, "Whatever you do, work with it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for men."

There is not enough preaching going on about the Call of our LORD!

There is nothing more POWERFUL than the call of the LORD!!!

Have you answered the call of the LORD? That is one phone call you do not want to miss!!!

You will have protection, a covering, Favor from the Lord.

God did not make this complicated folks, Follow our Lord, Read His Word.......When we read the Word of God, it becomes Alive in us!

You will know your calling by Praying, listening and reading the Word of God........and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

Surround yourself with Godly people.

if I can help you..........email me........I am here for you!

Here is a story that my Sharon wanted to share with us.........

I wish you ENOUGH!

Recently I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad.'

They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.

'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' he said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?'

He began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone..' He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good- bye.

He then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

*Only if you wish send this to the people you will never forget and remember to send it back to the person who sent it to you. If you don't send it to anyone it may mean that you are in such a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.

Take Time To Live.

To all my friends and loved ones, I wish you Enough !

And Pat sent this FUNNY BONE IN!!!

Being a Bible salesman during my college summers, this old joke seems to come to me pretty often. It remains one of my favorites.---CMB

If this doesn't make you laugh just go ahead and close your casket!!!

A pastor concluded that his church was getting into very serious financial troubles While checking the church storeroom, he discovered several cartons of new bibles that had never been opened and distributed.

So at his Sunday sermon, he asked for three volunteers from the congregation who would be willing to sell the bibles door-to-door for $10
each to raise the desperately needed money for the church.

Jack, Paul and Louie all raised their hands to volunteer for the task.

The minister knew that Jack and Paul earned their living as salesmen and were likely capable of selling some bibles. But he had serious doubts about
Louie who was a local farmer, who had always kept to himself because he was embarrassed by his speech impediment. Poor Louie stuttered badly. But, NOT WANTING TO discourage Louie, the minister decided to let him try anyway.

He sent the three of them away with the back seat of their cars stacked with bibles. He asked them to meet with him and report the results of their
door-to-door selling efforts the following Sunday.

Anxious to find out how successful they were, the minister immediately asked Jack, "Well, Jack, how did you make out selling our bibles last week? "Proudly handing the reverend an envelope, Jack replied, "Using my sales prowess, I was able to sell 20 bibles, and here's the $200 I collected on behalf of the church."

"Fine job, Jack!", the minister said, vigorously shaking his hand. "You are indeed a fine salesman and the Church is indebted to you."Turning to Paul, "And Paul, how many bibles did you sell for the Church last week? "Paul, smiling and sticking out his chest, confidently replied, "I am a professional salesman. I sold 28 bibles on behalf of the church, and here's $280 I collected. "The minister responded, "That's absolutely splendid, Paul. You are truly a professional salesman and the church is indebted to you."

Apprehensively, the minister turned to Louie and said, "And Louie, did you manage to sell any bibles last week?" Louie silently offered the minister a large envelope. The minister opened it and counted the contents. "What is this?. Louie, there's $3,200 in here! Are you suggesting that you sold 320 bibles for the church, door to door, in just one week? "Louie just nodded. That's impossible!" both Jack and Paul said in unison. "We are professional salesmen, yet you claim to have sold 10 times as many bibles as we could." "Yes, this does seem unlikely," the minister! agreed. "I think you'd better explain how you managed to accomplish this, Louie."

Louie shrugged. "I-I-I re-re-really do-do-don't ken-ken-know bf-bf-bf-for ash-ash-ash-sure," he stammered. Impatiently, Peter interrupted. "For crying out loud, Louie, just tell us what you said to them when they answered the door! A-a-a-all I-I-I S-S-said WA-WA-was," Louis replied, "W-Mw-Mw-Mw-would ay-ay-ay-you Al-Al-Al-Al-Al-like T-T-to B-B-B-buy nth-nth-nth-this B-B-B-B-bible bf-bf-for T-T-ten B-B-B-bucks ------O-O-O-or-------- Iwo-Iwo-would yo-you DJ-DJ-DJ-just Al-like am-am-me T-T-to St-St-stand Rh-Rh-here and R-R-R-R-R-read it T-to ay-ay-you??"

Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!

A cheerful heart is good medicine...May you always

Let us pray......

Lord, let us soak in that Your Call means to us, Everyone, everywhere, and in everything, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Sunday AM CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with You and Yours for ever and ever.

When being asked to make decisions..........make sure the LORD is at the TOP of that decision.

My walk with the Lord now is so close that I hear HIM say STOP! Pray on this. My Son, think this through.

Too many times we march ahead and draw a line in the sand and say let's make a decision by this date.

That date may mean nothing to the Lord.

You may think that you have to make a decision because so and so needs to know by Monday. Do not let man's circumstances drive your decisions.

Let the Lord speak to you...............Let the Lord move or not move..........

That is one of the greatest GIFTS our LORD has given us.......to lead our lives.

This is a hot button with me because when I did not walk close to the Lord I made too many decisions by myself.

When we surrounded ourselves completely to the LORD that all is decided, we just need to listen.

AMEN!!! AMEN!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!

Just one more thing.........this is another reason to have the Body of Christ around you.........top help you listen and pray.......and pray with you.

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" James 1:22

"If you obey my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love" John 15:10

Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10

ps to CUP

Growing up we had this saying.......Keep it Simple.........

God has made it very simple for us...........Be in HIS WORD........Be in HIS WAYS......WALK with our LORD.....LISTEN......

God has given us all we need to live wonderful fruitful lives for HIM!

We do not need ETHICS REFORM! WE NEED GOD!!!!!

Only GOD CAN SAVE US!

A very Personal CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

I would like to share some thoughts with you that God has put on my mind this beautiful Saturday morning........

First this scripture reading..........

Oh, magnify the LORD with me,

And let us exalt HIS name together.

I sought the LORD, and HE heard me,

And delivered me from all my fears.

They looked to HIM and were radiant,

And their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried out, and the

LORD heard him,

And saved him out of all his troubles.

AMEN!

Here are some thoughts........

I am being told a lot about Immigration......many opinions........Many Godly people do not agree with each other.

Others are afraid to speak out.........do not want to face the judgement of others.

Here is what God has put on my heart.......

We have talked for years here at the CUP and KKIM what happens when you do not build your life on the foundation of the Lord.......when you do not walk with the Lord........when you live a life of sin. When you lose your compass and go away from God.

The same thing has happened here in the Great United States of America.

We have lost our Godly compass.

We at one time in this Country had a very orderly way of welcoming people into our Country and having them become Citizens. This made our Country the Greatest Country ever! Under God's protection.

Now what we are doing is not enforcing many laws that are on the books. That's is why we are in the mess we are in, we as a Country did not enforce the law because we wanted such things as cheap labor. Doing the work many American's would not do and still will not do.

Our Country fell into Greed........Corruption.........Our economy collapsed.....We did not enforce many laws and the laws regarding immigration........we ignored them...and now we have a mess.

We must realize that when we are in a certain State of conditions.........it is mainly the result of decisions or lack of decisions we made.

It is what it is...........

I am very tied of the Politicians making this a political matter........I have a hard time believing anything these people say, because many of them are the reason for the problem.

As a Dear friend of mine said the other day, "I am tired of Politicians saying one thing and then doing the other"

I also am tired of them saying, "I am not a Politician"

I was told late last night be a Dear friend that has knowledge of these things, that many of the probation officers here in Albuquerque have been removed from their homes because of threats against them and their families from gangs in Mexico.

This is a complex problem......Really, Mexico has a Civil War going on......and it has come across the border...and this problem has been going on for years and the United States has ignored it. We have not helped our neighbor........we just have given it lip service......and we now are paying the price for not addressing the problem.

What I am trying to get at........is that the down fall of a society is the breaking of the law........and we here in America have watched our Society become lawbreakers. And then justifying it.

Current affairs in America is the result of what we did or not do.

I am just a simple man........and just putting out what God put on my heart....the Holy Spirit has sent me this message.........

Let us remember...we can pass all the laws we want...........including the greatest laugh in the World called "Ethics Reform".......until hearts are turned over to God.......it does not matter how many ethics reform measures are passed.

Just one more note:

We live in a Society where we have a Gov here in New Mexico who makes a big announcement of cutting over a thousand vacant jobs that will save us millions! I am so sorry that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but these jobs are vacant .......nobody is being paid anyhow! Hello? This is the kind of double talk that has gotten us to where we are at as a society.

Let us pray.........Lord, Let us always look to YOU for guidance. Let us always be in YOUR WORD, in YOUR WAYS......In the name of JESUS, AMEN!

Ted/Gail Haggard CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

Wow! The majestic sunrise over the Sandia's here in Albuquerque is God's way of saying Good morning!

The wonders of our Lord!

Does the National Football League, CBS TV, and other Worldly organizations forgive better than the Church? Once upon a time, Ted Haggard had it all....family, a ministry that reached out to some 30 million followers who hung on his every word, whether on TV or in person.

But in 2006, it all fell apart when Pastor Ted admitted to "sexual immorality"----and to buying methamphetamines. he was exiled from the Church he built and the state where he lived!

Yes kicked out of the Church and where he lived!

Read on..........

The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

With that here is a report from Pastor Mark Tross on our newsmaker of the Day last night on NM News and Views, Ted Haggard.......

Pastors Alan & Gail Hawkins of New Life City Church http://newlifecity.org, right here in ABQ, once again have brought Pastor Ted Haggard and his wife Gail to speak at their Church this weekend, so Ted was on with us and hopefully Dewey was able to make this evening's meeting, so we can have a follow-up report tomorrow on NM News & Views. Check out their website listed above for all of the details, but the topic is 'How to keep things together when you're falling apart' and of course, Ted is speaking from personal experiences, from his fall from grace (not really, but that's usually what you hear about him and not the Redemption Power of Jesus being played out in his LIFE) three years ago. He said, "Make Life work well, even when it's happening to you." His wife, Gail, authored a book, 'Why I Stayed,' which speaks all about their recovery 'process.' "It's on the bad days you have to make the decisions," Ted remarked and there's no disputing that. He and his wife will also be teaching Friday at 10am & 7pm and Saturday morning at 10, but there will be questions and answer periods as well. Ted says, "Don't take yourself too seriously, humble yourself in the sighte of The Lord and he Will Lift You Up!" After mentioning another book, 'Repenting From Religion,' Ted let us know that the PGA, CBS and others in the world do a better job of forgiving and restoring than The Church, which is sad, but true, so we have some work to do.

Thank you Pastor Mark, I was not able to stay for Ted and Gail's presentation but I had a very nice talk with both of them last night along with Pastor Alan and Gail Hawkins. Lord Willing tonight at 4:30 we will have Gail with us.

Let me share with you a writing from Gail in her book, "Why I Stayed".......

Monday, November 13, 2006

I am married to a flawed man------a man as flawed as any other. Why should anyone be surprised? In our Christian world, we teach and believe the truths of the Scriptures and hope they will transform us, hope that goodness will grow in us and get rid of all the badness. But for some, for many, the realization of that hope in this lifetime seems forever distant. Occasionally it is brought near them, but then escapes them as they fall short of goodness yet one more time. Why Lord?
Ted has sought you with all his heart. Through pain, he has tried to press through-----through fasting and prayer and resistance to his sin----yet, many times he has failed. That which he hopes for has eluded him.
Although disheartened, he has not given up. He tries again and again. Makes improvements and hopes it will work; that it will last this time.

The writings of Gail Haggard as her husband Ted was going through his struggles. How many people do we have in our lives that have gone through or are going through similar struggles? Maybe you are like me and Sharon and Pastor Mark, the three of us have had our struggles in our lives.

Lord Willing Gail will be with us tonight on NM News and Views at 4:30.

God forgives..........and we don't at times? Who are we?

Let us pray..........

Lord, Let us be Christ like in all we do......in all we do..........let us not pick and chose.......Let us abide by Your Word. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
