Sunday Morning CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

Happy Fathers Day!

Getting ready to get in the KKIM Van and head out to Edgewood for Valley View Christian Church's Classic Car Show! Over 3,000 folks expected, I hope you are one of them! Stop by and say hi!

My Friends,

I will have more on this Lord Willing this week.......

There is so much darkness in our world..the faith of many is being shaken. And those that have no faith?

Oswald Cambers writes........

God is the only Being Who can stand the slander that arises because of the devil and pain and sin are in the world. Stand true to the life hid with Christ in God and to the facts you have to face. You will have no answer intellectually, (Boy, that is right on!Read that again.....no answer intellectually) but your faith in God will be so unshakably firm that others will begin to see there is an answer they have never guessed.

How much is your faith worth to God?

Do the forces of Satan which Satan uses against it cause it to corrode like cheap metal or to shine like precious gold?

Pastor Jim tell Lena hello and thanks for the prayer call!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and Family

Lord Willing see ya at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood today!

I know you all know here my heart is.........Thank you for forgiving me for my typo's!

I pray that you will never let your relationship with our Lord become blurred!

I pray that you never let your relationship with your loved ones become blurred!

The Future is history to God, for He is omniscient

FLAG DAY CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

"Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two" Matt 5:41

In commenting on this wonderful piece of scripture Oswald Cambers says....

Our Lord's teaching can be summed up in this: the relationship that he demands of us is an impossible one unless He has done a supernatural work in us. (AMEN! Pastor Jim taught me that)

Jesus Christ demands that His disciple does not allow even the slightest trace of resentment when faced with tyranny and injustice. No amount of enthusiasm will ever stand up to the strain that Jesus Christ will put upon His servant. Only one thing will bear the strain, and that is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Himself- a relationship that has been examined, purified, and tested until only one purpose remains and I can truly say, "I am here for God to send me where He will." Everything else may become blurred, but this relationship with Jesus Christ must never be blurred.

AMEN! AMEN to that......please read that again.......too many Christian crash and burn......they have tremendous enthusiasm for Jesus, but not a strong personal relationship with Him and when troubles come they crash. Also love the part about, when everything else becomes blurred.......troubles come........pressure all time high..........you can feel the heat.........in fact you are getting burned........do let that relationship with Jesus become blurred!

We have Preached for years here at the CUP about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have any questions please email me.

WOW! Did you catch our TV program this weekend? Robert Montoya, son of Pastor Jim, was our guest and he talked about his Ministry for Haiti. Robert showed us some heart breaking video from Haiti. Many have forgotten about Haiti, as Robert's video showed us the need is as great as ever. Robert will be back with Part 2 this weekend on KAZQ CH 32, Comcast 22 at 6pm Saturday, 7pm Sunday. Check out more video at www.extremegreendesign.com That is Robert's and Pastor Jim's business.

Been under the weather for the last couple of days........infection in both eyes, head cold and cough and aches all over.......It shut me down for the weekend.....WOW! That does not happen very often!

I pray that you are flying the flag today to show your love for our Country! It is Flag Day and my Dad, Wally SGT. US Marines WWII, was born on this date. We have flags all over today! At the Moede's we fly the flag everyday! Friday night on Nm News and Views we played a song that KKIM friend Roy Bell wrote and sang about the Flag! It is AWESOME! Thanks Roy, Lord Willing we will play it again today at 4:30!

I went through a process last week that I saw the old Dewey and the new Dewey..the old Dewey made decisions based on Dewey....or mostly so.......the new Dewey prays and waits to hear from the Lord. When we get tired and wore down like I have been the last couple of weeks, we can weaken. (try to get even Christians to admit at times they get weak!) I knew what the right thing to do was.......but I grew weak....I talked with Sharon and also a dear friend........it showed me again how important the body of Christ is.......Godly people we can go to and talk with. It really keeps us on track. I Praise God for all of you, Godly friends!

Here is something I want to share with you on Decision making from John Maxwell's Leadership Bible........

Within a few years of his accent to the throne, David's leadership is in full swing. He begins to exercise broad decision-making skills as the King of Israel. Consider several principles we learn from David, the decision maker:

1. Good Leaders influence the decisions of others.

2. Good Decision makers want God in the center of the process.

3. Good Decision makers respect the Power of God.

4. Good Decisions foster joy and celebration

5. Good Leaders place God's agenda ahead of their own.

6. Good Decision makers listen to others.

7. Good Leaders positively affect future generations.

8. Good Decisions determine future conditions.

That is the process I have used and do use.........I experienced this past week........and have to keep myself reminded of this Godly process. To many times we go into the flesh and make quick decisions without praying. We also do not think about the future enough. Sharon and I also use this process when making decisions in the family and work. But as Maxwell lists, we also need to listen to other Christians as we go through this process.

We at times will slide back.........that is one huge reason for having Godly people around you to help you.

Today is Flag Day..........I also take this day to salute all those who fought in the Korean War, Like my Uncle Burton Moede of Mpls, Minn. This War has never ended, as we have thousands of troops on the line of South Korea and North Korea. many do not know this but there was never a Peace treaty signed.......just a Truce......Many in this Country have refereed to this war, as the Korean Conflict!, Hog Wash it was a War a bloody war........It still is a Powder Keg. The Korean War began 60 years ago this June 25th.....Please read the following.......

WAEGWAN, South Korea — The old soldier stood erect on the riverbank, his cane at his side, a baseball cap emblazoned "2nd Infantry Division" square above his brow. He looked out, then turned away from the slow, silty Naktong.
"I've seen this river before," Carroll Garland said. "I don't want to remember. Too many memories."
The war that began in Korea 60 years ago, on June 25, 1950, a ghastly conflict that killed millions and left the peninsula in ruins, became "The Forgotten War" in many Americans' minds.
However, to a shrinking corps of aging men, the soldiers of Korea 1950-53, it can never be forgotten. It damaged many physically, scarred many mentally and left men questioning their commanders' and their nation's wisdom.
They fought many enemies — not just the North Koreans and Chinese, but also the heat, the killing cold and the cursed hills, the thirst, hunger and filth, the incompetence and hubris of their own army, and the indifference of an American homeland still fixed on the "good" war, World War II, that had ended five years earlier.
Remembering Korea today may be painful, as ex-sergeant Garland, 81, of Oxon Hill, Md., can attest. But when such men get together, the freeze frames of war's horrors and miseries, of lost comrades and paralyzing dread, inevitably emerge in sharp focus.
"At the reunions, they talk about it," said Lucille Macek, 76, wife of Shawnee, Kan., veteran Victor Macek. "And then they break down."
In a

wartime arc of desperation, triumph, retreat and final stalemate in Korea, no U.S. division sacrificed as much as the 2nd Infantry Division, losing more than 7,000, one-fifth of the total U.S. dead. And it is the 2nd Infantry Division that still stands guard over South Korea today.
Two days spent with a "2nd ID" group on a 60th-anniversary visit to old battlefields opened a window on the men and events of a lifetime ago, when what happened here, on the Naktong, on the Chungchon River of North Korea, in places like Kunu-ri and Heartbreak Ridge, neglected stories though they may be in today's textbooks, was nothing less than a pivotal turn in 20th-century history, when a cold war grew hot in America's confrontation with communism.
'THINGS WERE DESPERATE'
"We didn't have enough men," Henry Reed recalled of the division's ordeal on the Naktong.
"There were so many holes in the line, the North Koreans didn't have to try too hard. The enemy would get behind us, and we'd be fighting on all sides. Things were desperate."
It was called the Pusan Perimeter, a southeastern corner of Korea running 85 miles north to south along the Naktong and 60 miles east to west. Here in mid-1950, in one of the most perilous U.S. military operations ever, outmanned U.S. and South Korean troops mounted a last-ditch defense against a closing North Korean vise.
It wasn't supposed to be that way. After the communist-led northerners struck south in their surprise invasion June 25, two years after U.S. combat units withdrew from South Korea, U.S. commanders believed the simple reappearance of American troops would deter the North Koreans.
"At our base in Hawaii, we thought the war would be over and we wouldn't get our Combat Infantryman's Badges," said Marvin House, 79, a veteran of the 5th Regimental Combat Team (RCT). "Boy, were we fooled."
The northern army battered the first-arriving U.S. units and shattered the South Korean divisions. It simply was better trained and better equipped, with Soviet-made T-34 tanks.
The U.S. government had shrunk the Army drastically after World War II, and training and equipment upgrades were neglected.
As the 2nd Division sailed from Fort Lewis, Wash., toward Korea in late July 1950, "we wound up training our soldiers to fire their weapons at tin cans thrown into the Pacific," said retired Col. Ralph M. Hockley, 84, of Houston, Texas, then a young artillery officer.
"Twenty percent of our vehicles had to be towed to the embarkation point," Walter Wallis of Palo Alto, Calif., recalled of the 2nd Division deployment. "We had some real crap, 4-year-old C-rations and stuff like that."
Not long after, on the Naktong, the 18-year-old radioman Wallis watched helplessly from a hilltop as a U.S. river-crossing patrol was slaughtered by the North Koreans. His batteries had failed; he couldn't call for help.
For House, a 57mm-recoilless rifleman, it wasn't quality but the quantity: none. For a month after his 5th RCT took up position on the perimeter, he had no ammunition for his gun, leaving him to help mortar and other gun crews fight off the enemy.
The North Koreans, crossing the shallow Naktong at night on barges or underwater "bridges" built of rice bags filled with rocks, hammered again and again at the U.S. and South Korean lines in August and early September 1950.
The "lines" were more a series of hills, road junctions and other points manned by under-strength units, sometimes a mile apart. Commanders would rush up reserves to fill the gaps as the North Koreans attacked.
For the GI, in the 100-plus-degree heat, amid tropical downpours and malarial mosquitoes, with water supplies scarce, soldiering became misery. "Those weeks seemed like a lifetime," said House, of Bonne Terre, Mo.
'WE DID WHAT WE HAD TO DO'
Time and again, the 2nd and other U.S. and South Korean divisions held the North Koreans off, sometimes fighting hand-to-hand, at great cost to the defenders and even greater cost to the North Koreans. Finally, on Sept. 15, 1950, U.S. amphibious forces landed at Inchon, far to the North Koreans' rear, cutting them off from their supplies and recapturing Seoul from the invaders.
That set off a race north by the Pusan Perimeter divisions, a "breakout" whose momentum carried them by November to the Yalu River and the North Korean-Chinese border as overall commander Gen. Douglas MacArthur and the U.S. leadership sought to conquer North Korea.
"We did what we had to do. We kept them out," twice-wounded ex-rifleman Reed, 78, of Butte, Mont., said of the Naktong campaign. "But we suffered plenty. In the first month, my company" — A Company, 23rd Infantry Regiment — "went down to 78 men from 200."
More suffering lay ahead. The lunge north had been ill-conceived, putting the American army on a collision course with the might of China deep inside North Korea.
Retired Lt. Col. Lynn A. Freeman, then a lieutenant at 23rd Infantry headquarters, remembered the night in late November 1950 when a Chinese attack materialized from nowhere, "blowing bugles and whistles and making a lot of noise" and penetrating into the regimental command post at the Chungchon River.
The regiment's 1st Battalion beat them back. "The bodies of wounded Chinese were frozen in the river's ice the next morning," recalled the quiet-spoken Freeman, 87, of Concord, Calif. Meanwhile, young Wallis had an image frozen in his memory: panicked U.S. soldiers trapped in sleeping bags and hopping down a hillside to escape the Chinese.
"The next day, we went up there and saw a couple that didn't make it," he said.
But Chinese attacks all along the front forced the longest retreat in U.S. military history, a withdrawal by the entire U.S. Eighth Army some 160 miles back into South Korea.
For the 2nd Division, the pullback through Kunu-ri and the valley remembered as "The Gauntlet" was a descent into a wintry hell.
"It was sleepwalking, day and night marching, when the Chinese came in," remembered Rudy Ruiz, 77, of Las Vegas, a 38th Infantry Regiment rifleman.
Miles-long convoys of trucks, tanks and men pushed south under heavy fire from Chinese dug into the hills on both sides, fire that crippled vehicles, blocked the narrow roadway and stranded knots of doomed men. In a single day, the division saw 3,000 killed, wounded or missing.
Even for those who escaped, the frigid temperatures and biting Siberian wind of an early winter could be as deadly an enemy. Wounded men froze to death while waiting for help. Hundreds suffered frozen feet and fingertips, noses and ears. The Army had failed to deliver winter clothing to tens of thousands of troops.
"The worst was the cold. I've never been so cold," Ruiz said. "You'd dig a hole in the snow and you'd all huddle together."
The "Big Bugout" retreat left the Eighth Army holding a line below the 38th Parallel, the North-South divide.
In February 1951, the Chinese mounted an all-out offensive but were turned back at Chipyong-ni by the 2nd Division, ushering in a final long phase of the Korean War, the "war of the ridgelines," as the two sides jockeyed for advantage, winning hills, losing them, winning them back, while truce talks went on.
It was at Heartbreak Ridge, in September 1951, that "we got into trouble, when we tried to move north," recalled Ed Reeg, ex-machine gunner with the 23rd Infantry. "The night of 19 September, Love Company was under real heavy attack, and Lt. (Peter) Monfore called for a machine gun."
Reeg climbed to Love's position, set up his .30-caliber gun, and suddenly the North Koreans were charging out of the darkness along the ridgeline. Reeg's team tried to hold them off, dodged their grenades, but finally "they found the mark," a bullet hitting him above the hip, sending him rolling in pain.
As Love beat back the attack, at the cost of Lt. Monfore's life, Reeg was carried to a spot on the hillside, injected with morphine, roughly bandaged and left lying there as the sun rose, peaked and began to set.
"Here, I'm thinking, it's over. What's my mom going to think?" In late afternoon, passing GIs realized he wasn't dead and sent him off to a medical station. The war was over for Reeg, who would be awarded a Silver Star for bravery.
'IT WAS WORTH IT'
Too many memories.
This May 31, Reeg, 82, of Dubuque, Iowa, stood with his wife and son atop a ridgeline south of Korea's dividing Demilitarized Zone and looked out toward Heartbreak.
"To think we were so close to where I lay dying 59 years ago," he reflected later. "I never thought I'd get back here."
It wasn't the only pilgrimage this old soldier has made. In 2003, he found Lt. Monfore's grave in Springfield, S.D., and met with his family. "It seemed like my duty to go find him."
Duty and doubts, flashbacks and nightmares, pride and uncertainties — veterans of killing fields, in Korea or elsewhere, are often torn by conflicting feelings. Many Korea vets are open about the psychic legacy of their war.
"I had night sweats for years," Ruiz said. "Whatever, it's still blocked out." Reeg believes a nervous breakdown he suffered in 1960 may have stemmed from his time in Korea.
In their foxholes 60 years ago, many questioned why their lives were being risked in a far-off civil war. "As a young fellow, I did wonder what we were doing here," said the big Montanan and ex-rifleman Reed.
Their anniversary tour supplied an answer for some as they gazed upon a prosperous and — in recent decades — democratic South Korea, whose government subsidizes such veterans' visits.
"This makes me feel it was worth it," Reeg said. "To see this country built up. It's amazing."
They recognize the picture is incomplete, however, since the peninsula remains divided. "That's one thing I'm sorry for," Reed said.
In fact, John Manly long thought he would wait for Korean reunification before returning. Finally, at age 80, the old 23rd Infantry rifleman came, despite obvious misgivings about his war and its results — "I am almost a pacifist," he said.
Equally obvious, as he spoke of a wartime friend killed in action, was his love for his fellow soldiers.
"Isn't a day goes by I don't think about him," said Manly, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. "I'm glad to be alive. A lot of the guys in there tonight are happy to be alive," he said, nodding toward a banquet hall filled with fellow veterans.
That evening, it was Manly's tenor voice that silenced the hall, drawing the gray heads of old soldiers together in thoughts only they could share, as he sang, to the tune of the World War II favorite "Lili Marlene," lyrics someone had improvised in 1952 as their own war dragged on:
"When the war is over and the world is free,
"We'll relive proud memories of bloody Kunu-ri.
"Sayong and Heartbreak will be retold,
"And Bloody Ridge will make us bold.
"Our hearts will always be
"With the 2nd Infantry

John Wooden's Card

Great advise from John Wooden! We have lost to great father Figures this month, Art Linkletter and now John Wooden.

Here is a note from Kyle Martin of Time to Revive..........

Hey folks...

I just got a phone call this morning from Ann Quest letting me know that Smokey John's wife, Gloria passed away this weekend. It was unexpected.

She died in her sleep. They originally thought maybe it was acid reflux but now are thinking it could have been a heart attack/stroke. Not sure on the details, but wanted to pass along to each one of you to be praying for Smokey.

Gloria Reaves was a wonderful woman of God. She will be dearly missed, but we know that she is with her Lord. Here is a link where you can find a picture of her and her family at Smokey John's: http://www.smokeyjohns.com/ourstory.html.

I will keep you posted with any more information that I have.

Please keep the Reaves family in your prayers.

Kyle

Let us pray for the Reaves family.

Let us go to our Lord in prayer..........

Lord, We thank you for all those men and women who have served under the United States of America flag......We thank you for all those serving now........As the flag is flown today may it remind America that this is a nation founded by You, Oh, Lord! We also pray today for the Reaves family, we give praise and thanks for the life of Gloria Reaves here on earth and now she is with You! Let Gloria's passing from earth remind us all that we are nothing but a vapor, here for just a short time. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Let us be BOLD in CHRIST KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace, and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

If you have not won in the last 30 days........you can win a copy of 90 Minutes in Heaven by being the first to email me today! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

It has been a dynamite week of Ministry, of sharing, and WOW! have I been Ministered too my many! Sharon and I are so thankful for the body of Christ!

Don Wagner news Director of www.wfrn.con posted this story the other day.......

Most of us would be outraged if we knew the details of research from the Government Accountability Office that shows our hard-earned tax money provided over a billion dollars to abortion groups between 2002 and 2009. About two-thirds of that went to Planned Parenthood. Steven Mosier is with the Population Research Institute and is calling for a ban on all federal funding for abortion groups. Indiana Congressman Mike Pence has introduced a bill in the U.S. House to defund Planned Parenthood and all other abortion groups.

I talked to Pastor Steve Smothermon about the above news story last night on NM News and Views and how God looks at the Unites States allowing abortions.

I got this note from Pastor Leonard that fits in with us allowing abortion, yes it is US because we all live here......

Have you heard of Dietrich Bonhoeffer?

Dietrich Bonhoeffer (German pronunciation: [ˈdiːtʁɪç ˈboːnhœfɐ];[1] February 4, 1906 – April 9, 1945) was a German Lutheran pastor and theologian. He was also a participant in the German Resistance movement against Nazism, a founding member of the Confessing Church. His involvement in plans by members of the Abwehr (the German Military Intelligence Office) to assassinate Adolf Hitler resulted in his arrest in April 1943 and his subsequent execution by hanging in April 1945, shortly before the war's end. His view of Christianity's role in the secular world has become very influential

Here is what Pastor Leonard shared...........

Fellow servants,

Almost finished with "Bonhoeffer" by Eric Metaxas...wow, one tremendous book. Boy, did he ever write some good stuff, "Cost of Discipleship", "Ethics", etc. here's a little sample from the book of the year, "Bonhoeffer".

"the great masquerade of evil has played havoc with our ethical concepts. For evil to appear disguised as light, charity, historical necessity, or social justice is quite bewildering to anyone brought up on our traditional ethical concepts, while for the Christian who bases his life on the Bible it merely confirms the fundamental wickedness of evil. Who will stand fast? Only the man whose final standard is not his reason, his principles, his conscience, his freedom or his virtue, but who is ready to sacrifice all this when he is called to be obedient and responsible action in faith and in exclusive allegiance to God; the responsible man, who tries to make his whole life an answer to the question and call of God." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

This is how Bonhoeffer saw what he was doing. He had theologically redefined the Christian life as something active, not reactive. It had nothing to do with avoiding sin or with merely talking or teaching or believing theological notions or principles or tenets or rules. It had everything to do with living one's life in obedience to God's call through action. It did not merely require a mind, but a body too. - Eric Metaxas

Or as I put forth the question: were those of Bonhoeffer's era guilty of Biblical academia verses Biblical obedience. Did they know what the Bible said but were too immersed in their traditions and "church dogma" on Sunday and thus fail to manifest the truth through their lives the rest of the week? So, I put forth the question for us TODAY. Are we so immersed in knowing what the Bible says through devotions, meditations, study, sermons and seminars yet LACK obedience to the very Word of God we have studied? For Germany it wrought the heinous evil monster named Hitler. What will such neglect of Biblical obedience reap for each of us? I fear we have been duped into believing that belief is enough and thus the end result is apathy to our living out our lifestyles and behaving as Jesus Christ to the world. For studies have shown that Christians behave no differently than the secular world.
"But prove yourselves doers of the word and not merely hearers who delude themselves." James 1:22 "for faith without works is dead" James 2:17

I am praying for you and your families.

ps to the CUP with Karen Rowe KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

I turn the ps to the cup over to Karen Rowe.......Karen is on KKIM Thursdays at 2:45pm....She has been anointed by the Lord that is for sure...she is a Godly writer and speaker for the Lord.......I share this with you all because there our such important lessons here for us all..........let it soak in.........It ties right in with preparing for Heaven.......

I watched the news last night waiting on my husband to come home from work...it was a long long hot day for him 5:30 am till 2:30am, the next morning..no dinner and then a shower, so bed @3 and back up at 5:30 today. I saw earth quakes in Canada, reaching to WV, fires in AZ, a 600-800 lb fish caught in which the prize of $900,000 was lost due to no fishing licence (which was purchased 2 hours after the fish was caught). Nail polish that was a dud...it didn't match up to it's claim...and on and on. I saw men working in this hot/humid heat all day long...working hard and just thankful to have a job! I felt blessed, so blessed...almost guilty, with all the struggles of single mom's that were on the news and the stories of struggling...I hear stories of people out of work who turn down jobs because unemployment pays better or the job is beneath them. I get survival, but the Bible says that a man is to work and if a man does not work, he will not eat. Short term...that unemployment check may look better, but the reward is not there and the opportunity to grow is stunted. God's plan is long term...sometimes we have to step down to learn to move up the ladder in faith. God always blesses the faithful!!! My prayers is for all to know that we can trust God in all things, because God sees and knows all. God is not surprised, but when we follow in faith, we will be amazed!

I almost felt guilty, but I turned to God and asked him to use my blessings for good. We will share in our goodness with others who visit our home (sometimes that is really hard), but God always raises me up with his peace to be a bigger person when faced with those who are difficult in drama and attitudes...to do the right thing and share our time and food with them and our love with them...more important we share Jesus with all who come to our home. I have to pray up most times to mustard up the strength of Jesus above my own emotions, BUT I thank God that we have the gift of faith so easily. I never had to find faith...I've always had faith from as little as I can remember! And God has blessed my entire life by following tedious obedience. FAITH in God is vital for people to raise out of difficult times. You know that and many know that, I just pray that we can remain strong to continue to shine a light for all to see the power of God's pure and perfect love! I pray that all can come to experience the power of working faith in their own life.

I pray for the world to wake up and sense the presence of God near so much so that every thought, and seemingly insignificant misbehavior glares out as a hindrance to come into the presence of a living and HOLY God. Jesus is the perfect one...We are not perfect/ we are forgiven! God's love is pure and perfect and in order to remain in the power of God's love the world needs to know that seemingly insignificant sinful behavior shuns God out of our life situations. I am far from perfect and I even purposely fall short sometimes...knowing that it is wrong, but I let my tired temper take my emotions, instead of letting the spirit of God lead my behavior. But God forgives...I change and am remorseful, knowing that I hurt God and knowing that I chose to live for Satan instead of God in that moment that I chose unholy language or behavior. I still have fun...but good and clean filtered fun. I just pray that the world will find the peace and joy that comes in filtered fun, which comes with the power of a living God over this worlds suffering.

Even if I loose it all and have God, I have won...Yes tough, but remaining in a trust in God is remaining in the power of something far greater!

Wow...I believe that I started out sharing my prayers for you and somehow, God lead me to come into unity with you as we pray for the lost in this world. God loves people. And God leads us to pray to lift the power of his word up to him for those who are not there yet. I pray that people get to know God to know that he is loveable too.

God bless you Dewey and Sharon. God bless us all! I have prayed for God to protect you from all afflictions and I have prayed for God to bless you both. The way I see it...2 feet in front of me...you already are blessed because you love God! The way I see it in God's eyes far above my limited vision of 2 feet in front of me is that God has you in the palm of his powerful hand and he is the God who controls all things. All things are according to his permission. In his permission...he always has good purpose because he loves to bring his children to a good place to be home with him.

I believe that God showed me yesterday that he is at work in your situation...he doesn't give as the world gives, does he?...God gives far greater...his love for all. Remain in patience with those who require our patience most by remaining in the love of God for that person...YET, staying away as God leads you...Remain quiet and peaceful as God does his work in this situation...God's blessings are at the end of the trial! ...so just letting you know that you are not alone in this...I hope that you were blessed by this.

Love in Christ,
Karen

Thank you Karen for sharing your Godly heart........we love you so much!

I love all the family of KKIM/KARS...Sharon and I love you all..........God Bless you all

Are you prepared for Heaven? KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Pray at all times...........

A Christian that does not pray is powerless.........

The Word of God will defeat the power of Darkness.........

Paul wrote these words from prison......could you and I?

And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Eph 6:19-20

Yesterday was a life changer moment for me on the radio...........
My walk with Jesus Christ grows everyday!!! PRAISE GOD! I walk by FAITH!!!!
A couple of years ago KKIM's Frank Haley introduced me to the book, "90 minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper. The true story of death and life. Don was pronounced dead at the scene of an awful car wreck and then went to heaven for 90 minutes and then came back to life!
KKIM listener Belinda from Lighthouse Church in Chimayo, NM emailed me to tell me that Don Piper is coming to their Church on August 8th.
Belinda lined up an interview with Don yesterday that aired live at 3:30 then a repeat at 4:30 on KKIM/KARS.
Pastor Mark Tross and I were just in AWE of the Godly words that Don spoke.
We are going to play the interview back at 8am, 5:05pm Saturday and Sunday at 6:15am and 5:20pm.
His message really is where the rubber hits the road.......

Don said, "Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people."

Are you prepared?

Don did not plan on dying that day he was in the car wreck...........he was going to Church.

Is your name in the book of Heaven?

Are you prepared?

There is nothing..........nothing more important than to get your relationship right with the Lord and focus on Heaven not earth.

Don Piper spent 90 minutes in heaven........You have to read the book, like I have and hear the words of Don in the interview.......Don spent time in heaven....he also believes there is a Hell.........so we have a choice..........heaven or Hell........have you prepared for heaven? Look around you..are the members of your own family prepared for heaven?

Don really put life in a box for us yesterday.........reminding us that are main focus needs to be on OUR relationship with Jesus Christ and we need to prepare for heaven.

What are your priorities today?

Will your priorities grow your relationship with Jesus Christ?

We are all consumed about things THAT WILL NOT GET US TO HEAVEN

Is your name in the book in heaven? Your loved ones?

These pictures are awesome....but wait until you read the words.

Q: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?

A: Psalms 117

Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?

A: Psalms 119

Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?

A: Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118

Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

Q:? What is the center verse in the Bible?

A: Psalms 118:8

Q:? Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives?

The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to
be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!

Psalms 118:8

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?

Before sending this I said a prayer for you.? Got a minute?? 60 seconds for God?

All you do is say a small prayer for the person who sent you this.........

"Father God bless my friend in whatever it is that you know he/she may be needing this day!

And may his/her life be full of your peace, prosperity ! and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You.
Amen"

Then send it on to 10 other people. Within hours 10 people have prayed for you,? and you caused a multitude of people pray to God for other people
Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life...

When things get tough, always remember...

Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it !!

God Bless You!
Thanks to Lew for sending this in!!!

Let us pray..........

Lord, Sharon and I thank you for your servant Don Piper and the words he has written and spoke. May we hear his message...may we all act on his message. We know that You have a mission for us all and Your servant Don has done well for You. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

A FRESHLY BREWED CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

I want to share with you, Thanks to Belinda of the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo, NM we will have Don Piper on with us at 3:30 today on KKIM/KARS. Piper wrote his story in the book, "90 minutes in Heaven" he will be coming to the Lighthouse Church in August to speak. More details coming. Anyhow, Piper was a in car wreck and pronounced dead, and while his lifeless body lay inside his wrecked car he experienced the glories of heaven. Then a Pastor prays for him and he returns to life. This is a true story and I have read the book. Thanks to Belinda an avid KKIM listener for arranging this visit!!!

WOW! What a day yesterday! Do you ever get done with your day and just say, "WOW! LORD!" That is happening more and more everyday!

There is enough discouragement out there to last a life time! But, what I am talking about this morning is all the wonders of the Lord. I see it all around me from the interviews I did for TV and Radio yesterday to my work with my son Lars and with Ryan Freeman and hearing from listeners of KKIM.

Most of all yesterday at the taping of our TV programs son Lars came with me. Lars is studying at CNM all those things that involve making movies and TV programs.....everything from lighting to filming. It was such a blessing to see how Steve of the CH 32 crew worked with Lars in making sure he understood everything that was going on. I remember when I would be with my Dad and watch him work, and learn from him. I thank Pastor's Jim, Ray Franks, Steve Smothermon for being so kind to Lars.

The interviews with two Christian Giants, Ray Franks of the Evangelical Center, Ch 32 and 36 in Albuquerque and Steve Smothermon of Legacy Church in Albuquerque, now New Mexico's largest Church with 20,000 members went so well, PRAISE GOD! Both are outstanding leaders here in New Mexico. Both use John Maxwell's leadership Bible. Please get yourself a copy and use it in your devotionals daily. Not only do Pastor's need to be reading Maxwell's stuff EVERYONE DOES! I cry out to the Lord for more Godly Leaders for HIM!

I want to tell you, We talk to both Pastor Ray and Steve about leadership in the Church and also the Governors race here in New Mexico. it is very clear where the darkness lies and where the light is! The stances Denish takes are very unbiblical, very DARK! Pastor Steve, Lord willing will be on NM News and Views Thursday at 4:30. The interview with Pastor Ray Franks airs this Sat at 6pm and Sun at 7pm on OPEN DOORS Ch 32 KAZQ and then next weekend, Pastor Steve Smothermon.

There is DARKNESS in New Mexico state government and I really appreciate leaders like Pastor Steve that call it the way it is.

Just look at this mornings Albuquerque Journal and see all the money that David King, Chairman of the State Public Regulation Commission has cost the taxpayers of this state. His dysfunction and that of other elected officials in New Mexico has cost this state several millions of dollars. All King and Gov Richardson do is blame the media for reporting the TRUTH!

As you grow in your relationship with the Lord, HE really shows you the LIGHT and HE will show you the darkness. Discernment from the LORD!

Here is a note from Karen Rowe commenting on the murder suicide of two young boys and their Father in La Puebla, NM...........

Praying with you...and sad that some don't know the working power of God in their life to overcome the things that drive them to commit such terror and pain..there's always hope in Jesus.

Also...on a praise note: I met a woman yesterday who just moved to NC from NM. She told me that her mother listens to and loves KKIM! Just thought that you'd like to know that news of KKIM reached my driveway in NC!

Much love and prayers for all in all needs, Karen

Let us keep this family in our prayers.

It was so nice to hear from Bishop Salamat who is back in Pakistan. He stopped off in London for a bit and now is back home and scheduled to return to the Unites States sometime in August or Sept. Lord willing he will be brining his family with him! Please pray.

Brother Dewey, How are you ? I have got home safely. How is your situation? I am praying. Blessings

Bishop Salamat

I am really thankful for Eric and Chris...they really get the importance of supporting the Ministry sponsors of KKIM/KARS..........ps they also are Ministry Sponsors of KKIM/KARS. Do you shop our sponsors?

Shalom Dewey,

Went out to Jericho Nursery recently. Great, helpful folks. Wonderful place - from the New Mexico-style building housing the store to the grounds and resident pooch. Many customers there getting plants and garden materials. Made sure to tell the folks on the job the day we were there that we heard about them on KKIM and thanked them for being ministry sponsor!

Bless G-d for business owners and businesses dedicated to the L-rd!

Now here is Dr. Deb and her WORD FOR THE WEEK....

Word for the Week

Dear Ambassadors,

As Ambassadors for Christ in the workplace, we look to Him as our example of what we are to say, what we are to do, and what we are to think. Philippians 2:3-9 starts off by reminding us to do nothing through selfish ambition or conceit. We are to look out for the interests of others in the same way we look out for our own interests. Verse 5 then says “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” This passage goes on to tell us that Christ became a man and “humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Scriptures in both the Old Testament and New Testament state that God gives grace to the humble and that our humbleness will be exalted. So how do we demonstrate humbleness day by day in the workplace where we often face criticism, disappointment in the actions and words of others, anger, jealousy, resentment, disagreement with the people we work for, gossip, unexpected changes that result in stress, and much more? We believe that we should speak up, defend ourselves, and point out the errors of others.

This is a good question to ponder this week. Christ’s example tells us to honor others, serve one another, be gentle and patient, love one another, submit, bear with each other, give thanks, and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. These are only some of the ways we can humble ourselves. Is this easy? No. Will we be perfect in our humbleness? No. But we can start today to pray for strength to be humble in all the circumstances we face each day at work. A good book to read is Humility: The Journey Toward Holiness by Andrew Murray. He ends the book with a prayer for humility on Page 105.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:29 (NIV), “Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” May we focus on showing a humble spirit to others this week.

In obedience to Him,

Here is a note from our friend John Robb.......

Dear Friends,

Today, a prayer leader friend passed on a Russian woman’s urgent cry from within the chaotic, tragic situation inside Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. Probably several thousand have already died in what appears to be a premeditated stirring of ethnic tension between Kyrgyz and Uzbeks. Uzbeks make up 15% of the population and are the target of this pogrom which may be related to the forces ouster of the former president, Kurmanbek Bakiyev. Our informant inside Kyrgyzstan describes the situation in the city of Osh in the southern part of the country and pleads for our prayers:

“We are in the very center of the war--Osh.~ Something terrible and unimaginable is happening here.~ Amazingly, only about 10% of what is actually happening is being reported in the media. What we see is ethnic cleansing.~ The whole neighborhood of Uzbek houses are burnt to the ground.~ Whole families are being murdered--women, children.~ There are mountains of bodies in the streets, and the wounded are getting no help.~ There are mobs of young Kyrgys men, drunk, high, and heavily armed running around the streets killing and burning everything.~ All of this is politically wired.~ The internal national conflict has been brewing for a long time, and someone is using it for their gain.~ The authorities are silent and inactive.~ This inactivity seems to be premeditated…We are afraid to be alone in this trouble.~ A blood hungry mob has had a taste of violence and lawlessness.~ We are seriously concerned for our lives.~ Actually, to be honest, we are living in a constant state of animal-like fear.”

A Westerner, who was living in Osh at the time and had to be evacuated with his family, wrote of the complete devastation of a burnt out city. Because of the inactivity of the authorities and army in stopping the carnage, he also concludes this incident was premeditated: “We do not believe this is a simple case of ethnic violence. This was an orchestrated, chaotic tragedy set in motion by madmen.” He calls for the deployment of international peacekeepers to stabilize the situation and bring restoration of order because the weakened national government seems unable or unwilling to bring things under control. BBC News reports that some violence has been continuing earlier today.

Although there are clearly human and political factors that can account for what is happening, we must not fail to also perceive the supernatural influence of the evil one. Ethnic hatred, violence and genocide always have an element of spiritual darkness tied up in them. Our prayer initiative teams have encountered this repeatedly. Jesus said that Satan is a “liar and murderer”. Undoubtedly, the enemy is inspiring wicked people to do his bidding to cause maximum destruction of those made in God’s image. Therefore, please pray, using the authority the Lord has given us to bind the powers of darkness (Luke 10:19-21; Matthew 18:18-19).
Please pray for the following:
1 Quick action by the government of Kyrgyzstan and the international community to stop the violence and killing and restore peace and order to the nation and especially the city of Osh.

2 Exposure of those who are using this ethnic conflict to advance their own agenda of in order to get or keep political power and control of the nation.

3 Binding and expulsion of spiritual forces of evil who want the destruction of as many people as possible.

4 Effective and immediate humanitarian relief for those who are suffering lack, especially those trapped in areas of ongoing turmoil and conflict as well as those hundreds of thousands who have had to flee their homes as refugees within their own country or across the border into neighboring Uzbekistan.

Please also continue to remember the Afghan believers that their lives and their religious freedom will be safeguarded by their government and that the UN, other governments and international organizations will effectively intervene in their behalf.

Thanks so much for your prayers of faith and authority through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Warm regards,

John Robb

QUICK TUE CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Wisdom, and Peace of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Got a text message at 3:57am today from Gretchen that she and Brian arrived safely in Alaska!! PRAISE GOD!!!! I could not sleep without hearing from her!!! LOL! LOL!

Yes that was Sharon on the air with me yesterday! She surprised me by stopping by and then going to the last softball game of this session. WE WON!!!! I had 4 hits!!!! Everyone said she now has to go to every game! I even got to slide into second base for her to see that her old man can still do it!!!! She also said on air my desk at work is as messy as mine at home!!! LOL!!!!

Thanks to all my teammates and wives for making Sharon feel at home! Thanks for a great season of fun and fellowship and now we get ready for season number 2!!! The folks at Heights Christian Church are so special to KKIM and my family.

I love what I do and that my family can share in the fun!!!

Getting ready this morning for the taping of our TV program that we do in conjunction with the Los Lunas Church of God. Two giants for the Lord will be our guest..this week Pastor Ray Franks one of the first DJ's on KKIM and the founder of Ch 32. Pastor Steve Somthermon will be our guest on week 2. These two men have been leaders in the Christian Community for years here in New Mexico. OPEN DOORS can be seen Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 7pm on KAZQ Ch. 32.

Let me leave you with this.......

If Satan can win victory over a significant Christian, he has won victory over those who have impacted your life.

Vision is looking at life through the lens of God's eye.

Vision is essential for survival, It is spawned by faith, sustained by hope, sparked by imagination, and strengthened by enthusiasm. It is greater than sight, deeper than a dream, broader than an idea. Vision encompasses vast vistas outside the realm of the predictable, the safe, the expected. No wonder we perish without it!

Chuck Swindoll

Let us pray for the family of the Father who took his life and that of his two boys yesterday near Espanola. Let us not rush away from this.......Let us stay close to those who are having it rough.let us never give up on people....Jesus never does.........Let us pray.

Lord, Today we mourn for the family of the Father and his two boys who died such a violent death. Let us turn our tears into a commitment that we will never give up on people. You never do Lord, let us do the same. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Valley View CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

We have this need.........

Jessica Truesdale and her family are in great need of borrowing a handicap van for one month…it costs way too much for them to rent. Could you pass on this need? If someone has one, they can contact her mother Denise at 891-7827.

Blessings,

Susan Swafford

Thank you Susan.

You can also email me here at the Radio Ranch.

WOW! AMAZING.......PRAISE GOD! That is how I felt during and after the 7th Annual Valley View Christian Church Classic Car Show! The crowd was estimated from 5,000 to 7,000...everything is free, admission, food, etc.hard to get an exact count.....but what a blessing the folks at Valley View are to this region! What a Ministry!

Sharon says I look like a lobster from the neck up!!!! WOW what a sunburn..even used sun screen! So, they say I look like Col. Sanders???......now does this mean they will call me...Red Lobster???? LOL! LOL!

Worship services going on during the Car Show..so you could come and worship and then go see the 300 plus cars on display at Valley View in Edgewood.

3,000 hotdog's........6,000 bottles of water..........plenty of soda and chips........all free

You never know who is listening........

I get this more and more.........

From Mary Ann of the Ozarks......."We have a summer home here in Edgewood but live in the Ozarks and we love KKIM. We just love it when we are here to listen to you. When we give to our favorite programs, does KKIM get the credit?"

WOW.....Mary Ann really made my day......I get more comments from people who have summer homes here, or traveling on business, or passing through, that they just really appreciate the Ministry of KKIM. Got a call a few months back from a lovely lady who moved to South Carolina who missed KKIM so much and could not find another station like us.

Our type of programming with Local and national Teaching programs/Local and national news and talk shows/ non-denominational radio Ministry is a not found much. We Praise God for what HE has done and is doing!

We will never know how many people we have touched here on earth until we get to heaven. It drives me nuts when Radio Ministry people say, I don't know if we are reaching people! If you are in Radio Ministry for tangible results......you are in the wrong work for the Lord!

It is not a work for the weak. No Ministry is.

Another lovely lady came up to me and said, "My son need some tips, he is running a Christian station in Riverton, Wyoming." We will be doing that for sure! PRAISE GOD! What a special look on this Mom's face when she talked about her son's involvement in Christian Radio! PRAISE GOD! I love helping young people get started in Christian Radio!

See how God works????

This is what happens when a Church like Valley View reaches out to the entire state of New Mexico and brings people together!

God brings HIS people together, it builds a stronger Body of Christ!

Jerry who I have met at Valley View's men's breakfast.....his wife stopped to talk and said she loves the Daily Cup!

Remember when I wrote about the Cowboy in the black hat? He won the Family Life Today, Weekend To Remember certificate. He is into his fourth marriage.I met him again and his wife.....they did go to the Weekend To Remember in Colorado and loved it!

I do not tell you these things to boast in myself...I tell you these things to boast in our LORD! How HE can work in all our lives if we let HIM!

I also met my friend Eli Gonzales from Legacy Church at the Car Show I had not seen him in 3 years!

There are not enough Church's that open their doors like Valley View! They sure take the Great Commission to heart.

I will say that whenever I get out into rural New Mexico and really love it! There is something special about people who ranch, farm...work with God's earth.....It also reminds me of home.......really down to earth people. I just love getting out and talking and sharing with people.

Got home and then celebrated Fathers Day with my family! PRAISE GOD!

Many emails and text messages yesterday wishing me Happy Fathers Day! The only problem I am having is that I don't always know anymore who is texting me.....I get so many emails and text messages..I am sorry I don't know all the names and numbers!

Your love and prayers are appreciated.........getting more comments on our TV program.

I have my detractor's, oh yes I do.......My Dad always told me that if you have no enemies, you stand for nothing!

As I said Ministry work is not for the weak.

I want to go back to something I shared with you yesterday from Oswald Chambers.......

GOD is the only being who can stand the slander that arises because the devil and pain and sin in the world. Stand true to the life hid with Christ in God and to the facts you have to face. You will have no answer intellectually, but your faith in God will be so unshakably firm that others will begin to see there is an answer they have never guessed.

Dewey says.....

I have grown in the Lord.........that statement that there will be no answer intellectually..........the answer is in a strong personal relationship with the Lord and reading his word and praying constantly.

There is so much darkness flying around..........don't get sucked in to it. Stand firm in the Lord. That is why I am so thankful for Church's like Valley View who are reaching out...........they have opened their doors to all of us!

Has Satan crept into any of your convictions?

Which of your beliefs about God are more important to you than God?

Which of your religious convictions does Satan want you to keep in place of God?

Let us pray..........Oh yes.....would you pray for daughter Gretchen? She and Brian are flying out today to Alaska for Brian's brothers wedding. We would be thankful for your prayers.

I am so thankful for my relationship with all my kids! They keep dad going in a good way!

I also thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and prayers. Sharon and I so much appreciate them!

Kind words are like honey-----sweet to the soul and healthy for the body Proverbs 16:24

Plus read Deu 3:28 Proverbs 15:23 and Eph 4:29

Let us pray...........

Lord, Thank you for the Body of Christ at Valley View Christian Church..Lord thank you for their hearts to open their doors to all, let us all learn from their example. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Happy Fathers Day CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

I look forward to seeing many of you this Sunday, Fathers Day, at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood!

The best advice I can give Dad's is get into God's word and live by it..........Lead by a Godly example.......It's never too late........

Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master,

Eph 6:4 The Message

Also my Dear Friends this from Proverbs 4:4-5

He also taught me, and said to me:

"Let your heart retain my words;

Keep my commands, and live.

Get wisdom! Get understanding!

Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

AMEN!

Today Dad's read all of Proverbs 4: 1-17..........it may do us all well, to read all of that scripture!

Here is a writing from the Late, Great Paul Harvey on Fathers........

A Father is a creature that is forced to endure childbirth without an anesthetic. A Father growls when he feels good and laughs when scared half to death.
A father never feels worthy of the worship in a child's eyes. he's never quite the hero his daughter thinks; never quite the man his son believes him to be, and this worries him-----sometimes. So he works too hard to try to smooth the rough places in the road for those of his own who will follow him.
A Father gets very angry when the school grades aren't as good as he thinks they should be. So he scolds his son-----though he knows it's the teacher's fault. A Father gives his daughter away to another man who is not nearly good enough----so he can have grandchildren who are smarter than anybody's. A Father makes bets with insurance companies about who will live the longest. One day, he loses-----and the bet is paid off to those he leaves behind.

Chuck Swindoll wrote this..........

And then?
Well, from then on it's pretty simple. Water weed, tend with care, and patiently watch the garden grow. Someday you'll look back and realize it was worth all the years of all the work and effort and prayer. Like a lovely garden, your family will be a thing of grateful pride, of seasonal beauty, daily sustenance.

Let us Prayer............

Lord today we pray for all the Fathers out there...we pray that they will look to YOU, our ALMIGHTY FATHER as they go about their GODLY duties here on earth. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

See ya at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood on Sunday for their HUGE car Show. Go to www.valleyviewnow.com for more details! Look for the KKIM Van!

One final message to all the Dad's out there:

Many men do not admit their fears.......it turns into anger, hiding out, putting the head in the sand, etc........

Ask God to help you let go of your day-to-day fears and worries, express your desire to trust him for the strength and power to move ahead when life threatens to pull you down!

Fathers Day CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

This Sunday is Fathers Day..........

Let us be in prayer for all Fathers!

My Dad, Wally, has been in Heaven for 17 years now.........

He served God......

One day on the radio, KDOM, back home one of the Pastor's called my Dad, God's Shepherd of Children. You see my Dad was in charge of the School buses back home......he made sure that the children always got on the right bus and got home safely. He looked over God's Children. I will never forget that after Dad suddenly passed away of a heart attack in 1993 on Easter morning a Father brought his disabled son to the house and asked if he could have one of Wally's hat's (Dad was known for all his different hats he wore) the little boy used crutches to get around and was just thrilled to get one of Dad's hats. Dad had a special heart for the children that had disabilities. He designed one of the first school buses in Minnesota for the disabled.

That is the Godly legacy that I have been left with.

That is why the scripture from Mark 10:45 means so much to me........It was like my Dad's calling card........

"For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

My Dad also served our Country in WWII as a SGT. in the U.S. Marines, he was also the Assistant Fire Chief, head usher at Church, as well as the Transportation Supervisor for the school and won many awards for his safety record.

So I had a great teacher in life. One that sticks in the back of my mind always, like everyday.....When you have a job to do..give it your best shot! Even the smallest of duties! One Sunday morning Dad took me in the car to do my Mpls Tribune Paper Route, and I remember the house, Green and white, across from Winfair School, Steve Higley's house and I opened up his front door and kind of threw the paper in and the huge Sunday Paper just flew all over inside the door.........I got back to the car and Dad said, "When you have a job to do,do it right." I turned around went back to the house and put the paper neatly back together and put it neatly inside the door. Yes back in the old days we used to put the paper inside the door. Here is what has happened.......we as a society have become so sloppy in the smallest of details. That is the down fall of our society and we are paying a huge price for it. Men have become sloppy in many ways.

Turn it around guys!

The smallest of details..........everything from morals to manners.

Without God you will be a mess as a Father.

I leave you with this............

Last night Son Greg and his girl friend Natasha came to see me after work, because they cannot be with us for Father's Day, they have to work. Greg is the oldest of five children. When Sharon and I got married we merged a family of Greg, Mike, Steph, Gretchen and Lars. Merging a family together is no easy task. We had a rough start up! Sharon and I sought Godly council on all this. Without it, the ship would have sunk! Where are we at today? I would like to share with you some of the words in the card Greg gave me for Father's Day......it should be all Dad's goal to get a card like this:

I have appreciated all the Fatherly Love and advice you've given me.

Iv' e always respected time and dedication you've put into our family.

You've been a great father figure to me.

I share these things with you not to boast in myself, but to boast in the works of the Lord.......The Lord gave me such a Godly Father and Grandfather, Floyd Caraway, here in earth that I was trained up right. I never knew my Grandpa Moede, Chris, as he passed away when my Dad was just 13.

My kid's say the most loving things to me.

Here is a scripture that the Lord led me to today as I was praying to see what He wanted me to share with you today......

"Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." Matt 5:16

We are to be the salt and light of the World guys!

For God's Glory Alone!

We need to anchor ourselves in Jesus Christ to withstand the troubled times. Help anchor your children, no matter their age, in Jesus Christ. Stick with it!

Let us pray,

Lord, Today we pray for all the Dad's out there.....some are lost.........some never had a Dad to teach them.....some children to this day do not know their Dad........Some have abusive fathers.........We pray today that we all can be a shining light to all Dad's.........to introduce them to YOU.....or build a stronger relationship with YOU! Most of all YOU are our FATHER in heaven and we look to YOU our LORD to help guide us through this earthly adventure. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

See ya on the radio at 4:30.....Lord Willing Shona Neff will be stopping by for NM News and Views!

Wed CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.

I am so thankful for our Programs on KKIM/KARS.......Getting more and more comments from KARS listeners they love the new programming on KARS!

Family Life Today 7am and 8:30pm on KKIM has just been outstanding all week with Randy Alcorn as the guest. Just think, David Jeremiah at 5:05am, Kyle Martin at 5:30am, Focus on the Family at 6am and 1pm, Chuck Swindoll at 6:30am, Family Life Today at 7am followed by Don Kimbro, Kyle Martin, Charles Stanley, etc.......and in between that, News and Weather with Frank Haley......What a Godly Morning Drive line-Up! But it is better than that. Our line up is so strong in God all day long 24/7! For God's Glory Alone! Imagine being in a room with these folks every morning.......you can be by listening to KKIM! PRAISE GOD!!!!!

By the way tonight on NM News and Views, Chuck Bates of IRN/USA Radio and host of News and Views for the network, will be our guest to talk about the book he has written with his Dad, Larry. I always will be thankful to Dr. Bates for giving KKIM permission to use the name, "News and Views" for our program at 4:30.

Bob Lepine shared this morning that only 1 in 20 families that listen to the program actually give to the Radio Ministry of Family Life Today. I also know from research that, sadly, about 85% of listeners to Christian Radio have never given to a radio Ministry program. That means of course that 10 to 15 percent do all the heavy lifting! If you have never given to the Ministry programs of KKIM would you please pray on that?

If you are being FED by the Ministry of KKIM/KARS please pray about giving a gift to your favorite programs.

As our relationship with Jesus Christ grows......we see lightness and darkness very clearly.......Our Lord gives us discernment......He also gives us the wisdom as to what to do in situations that are full of darkness.......during the storm He gives us Peace.

I am thrilled to tell you that, I know this because.........I know..........

That is why I am so excited to spread the good news of Jesus Christ everyday of my life!

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 2 Cor 7:4

I so love the letters of Paul........Please read them.

My Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus Acts 20:24

I want to encourage you to be in God's Word everyday.......it is like being fed......When you are Fed the Word of God you will grow in Godly Strength. Put on the Armor of God each day.

Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:10-11

As we close today.............

Let us remember this..........

"For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Let us Pray.........Lord we pray today that more will come to serve You and give their lives to You. We pray many will see Your light today. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

See you on the radio at 3:30 today for Dewey's daily Cup and at 4:30 for NM News and Views. remember you can listen on line at www.mykkim.com

ps to cup.............

From Rick Warren.......

Take on an entirely new way of life - a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)
"Why would God provide heaven on earth when he's planned the real thing for you in eternity?"

Don't miss this CUP/KKIM DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

In the last several weeks we have had many new folks join us here at the CUP! The latest is Phil! Welcome Brother!

Last night at our softball game......we lost, but GREAT time!........Peter Arndt had the line of the night.....You Baseball fans know what a hit rookie pitcher Stephen Strasburg has been, WOW is he getting it done or what! Anyhow Peter said, "Strasburg is the only one in Washington DC that knows what he is doing!" AMEN to that! LOL! LOL!

If you are like me worry has at times played to big a part of my life! Here is some words from Phil Callaway in "Who Put My Life on fast Forward"

A Doctor once told me, "Seventy percent of all my patients could cure themselves if they would get rid of their worry and fear."

Callaway continues.........All my life I've had to fight worry, like a pesky mosquito, worry saps our energy and sends us in out of the bright sunshine. Perhaps the only good thing about worrying is the things we worry about never seem to happen.

Worry is a non-confidence vote in God, so let your worry be replaced by SIMPLE TRUST in HIM today. HE is at work. HE is in control. HE is in the middle of whatever is happening. has happened, or will happen to us. And HE will never take HIS children where HE has not gone.

AMEN! Let that soak in! Chew on that for awhile! I am...........

WOW! Josh McDowell Part 2 is on Focus on the Family today..replayed at 1pm today and Part 2 of Randy Alcorn on Family Life Today at 7am and 8:30pm. I am so thankful for all the wonderful programs on KKIM/KARS! By the way, part of Josh McDowell's presentation on Focus was what he shared with us last year right here in Albuquerque at the Jubilee Festival! And as I mentioned yesterday Randy Alcorn was just in Albuquerque at Desert Springs Church! PRAISE GOD for all that HE is doing!

Yesterday I got the following note about "Brothers Day" from Pastor/FMR Congressman Bill Redmond......Bill is such a Dear Man of God.......Wow.he has touched my life and thousand more! The following is also to you! I am also going to include all my Sister's in Christ.........this is to all who Read the CUP! This is the Body of Christ...........

Happy Brothers' Day, Brother.
This one is for you my Brother.
Be the kind of man that when your feet hit the floor each
morning the devil says "Oh Crap, he's up!"

Brother, life is too short to wake up with regrets.

So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't
just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.

Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be
easy. He just promised it would be worth it.

Today is Brother's day, send this to all your brothers, fathers, sons.
If you get back 7, you are loved. Happy Brothers Day!

I LOVE YA BROTHER'!!!
To the men that have touched my life. Here's to you!!

"A real Brother walks with you when the rest of the world
walks on."

Send this to all your Brothers because the fake ones won't.

I am such a blessed man, to have many Brothers and Sisters in the Lord like Cowboy Clarence.......Clarence wanted me to share this story with you all here at the CUP! Clarence is always the first to encourage others!

MY FRIEND DEWEY

By Cowboy Clarence

Dewey is a radio broadcaster for a Christian station. Dewey is my friend

And my brother that I had the privilege of knowing as the associate pastor of the Church of God in Los Lunas, NM. Dewey sat with me in church and we had fun together. We had a good time, we put our arms around each others backs and when church was over he wanted to give me a Bible. I told him I had one at home with giant print. He said to me, goodbye and that he had to go back to work in Albuquerque and he hugged me.

For 35 years Dewey has been in the radio business and has 5 kids

Dewey has an eye infection and I pray that he get well very soon.

Dewey’s Uncle Joe was a veteran of the Korean war. When Dewey was a

Young boy, his uncle used to take him places.

Dewey always make me feel happy. Dewey always make feel like part of fund raising events. He tries to get me involved. That is just the way he has always been with me.

I met Dewey when I used to go to the Arc of NM Convention in Albuquerque about five or six years ago. The first time was when other people with disabilities and I did some modeling at one of the conventions. Even since then he has been a loyal friend and a strong Christian brother.

Here is a note from another Brother.......Paul Dokken from my hometown, Windom, Minnesota......Paul and I got hooked up again after 30 some years. The CUP brought us back together after being Classmates and Football managers for Coach Ron Meyer.......

Dear Dewey: So many years ago,,,, when you and I were the managers on the football team, I never had the foggiest idea about a relationship with Jesus Christ. My life has been transformed by Him and it is being blessed by you. Enjoy the opportunity to read your morning emails and always take away a thought or two to chew on.
Actually I have a prayer request. I've been involved with Native American ministries and have recently met a young man named Mike. (I say young,,,,, he's in his early 40's and has 6 children.) Mike was recently released from jail he is on my heart. He has accepted Jesus as his Saviour and is excited about sharing his faith with family and friends. Please pray that the words he uses would be the Holy Spirits and not his. Also, his wife Tanya and he are attending our church. He is looking for employment and is excited about an opportunity for a carpenter position. I would really appreciate your prayers for he and his family. Blessings to you Dewey. Take care and may God continue to richly bless you. Your friend, Paul

Here is a wonderful writing by Dr. Deb Gunderman........it is so nice to hear from her..........

Dear Ambassadors,

Word for the Week

Have you ever walked into the break room or lunch room at your place of work and heard something like this:

First person says, “Did you hear about Bob and Nancy? Someone said that they have split up and are getting a divorce?”

The other person says, “No, where did you hear that?”

First person says, “I don’t remember but I wonder what happened. I just saw them last week at their son’s soccer game and they seemed fine. Maybe I will ask Brenda what she knows.”

When surveys are conducted about what people consider to be the top ten problems or challenges in the workplace, consistently the number one problem is gossip. A recent media report stated that sixty percent of working Americans consider gossip to be the #1 problem in the workplace. A small survey I conducted among Christian women in the workplace ended up with the same number one answer. Fifty–seven percent of these women stated that gossip was the number one workplace problem or challenge they face.

Gossip is addressed in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament. In the Old Testament the term used is “talebearer.” It is found in Leviticus as well as several times in Proverbs. In the New Testament, the term used is “tattlers.” It is found in 1 Timothy 5:13.

As Ambassadors for Christ in the workplace we are called to a different standard than the world. Being around worldly behavior on a daily basis challenges us to stay true to God’s Word. So what does the Word tell us to do when faced with gossip in the workplace? This is a great topic for discussion. I am willing to come to your workplace to facilitate such a discussion. For our purposes here, let me direct you to Scripture that you can review on your own. James 3:6 warns us about our tongues. James 4:11 tells us to not speak evil of others. James 5:9 says not to grumble about each other. In Philippians 4:8, Paul lists the things we are to think of. In response to gossip, we can choose not to participate in the gossip and/or change the conversation from gossip to the things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy about others. May you bring God’s truth to the workplace this week in these ways.

Body of Christ coming together KKIM/DDC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear KKIM/KARS Family

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

What a wonderful.....peaceful morning here in the Duke City! The Birds are singing away and it is a bit cooler! Make sure and feed the birds and have water for them!

"I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron."

Isaiah 45:2 WOW! How powerful is that! Read that assurance from our Lord again!

You will find that today's CUP fit's that scripture...........

Don't forget that Monday is Flag Day! Fly the flag and show your love for our Country! My dad, Wally, was born on Flag Day and I was born on the 4th of July! We are a very patriotic family. I sure do miss my Dad, I will never forget that he bought me my first brand new bike, before that we just got used bikes, but he bought me a new bike, red in color(my favorite color) with baskets on it for my newspapers, as I did a paper route, ON HIS BIRTHDAY! Folks in Windom who read this might remember the Old Coast to Coast Hardware store, that is where he bought it! That's was my Dad, always putting others before himself! That gift by my Dad on his birthday was a huge lesson for me that has stuck with me to this day.......put others first.

President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 declared June 14th as Flag Day. WOW! Uncle Joe was born in 1915!

I have to say my family always flew the flag....long history of military service, local service such as being Fireman in our hometown, and just a pure love for our Country. You should see our front lawn at our house on Memorial Day, Flag Day and the 4th of July.........I have flags all over!

Also something about my family and birthdays........I told you about Dad on Flag Day, me on the 4th of July, My Grandpa Caraway on St. Patties Day, and brother Dave on Valentines Day! My Mom's Birthday is July 5th the day after mine!

This weekend on our TV program, OPEN DOORS, Robert Montoya of Extreme Green Design talks about his Ministry for Haiti. Robert is the son of Pastor Jim Montoya, it is wonderful to see a Father and Son together in the Lord! OPEN DOORS airs on KAZQ CH 32, Comcast 22 Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 7pm.

I get asked from time to time, where are you going to preach next? I will be Preaching on my birthday July 4th at our home Church, Los Lunas Church of God! I will also be at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood for the Fathers Day car show. Look for me and the KKIM Van!

I also am praying and preparing my next write up for the Windom, Minnesota newspaper. www.windomnews.com For God's Glory Alone! I love my hometown, as it helped bring me up in a wonderful way......My hometown.WOW! What wonderful memories!

Yesterday I met for a time of discussion and prayer with my friends with Son Broadcasting! Annette, Sue, Kitty, Jim and all are always so nice to me! I give Praise and Thanks to our Lord for this relationship. I really am thankful for the time of prayer with Annette and Sue.

It is great when Christian Media can come together for the Lord, that is what we are to do....to be together...Onward Christian Soldiers. I am thankful for the relationship we have with Pastor Ray Franks at Ch 32. There is much more GODLY POWER when we come together rather than march alone.

The Body of Christ cannot be concerned who get's the credit for work done.

Revival is underway in New Mexico...no doubt........I see it and feel it!

Last night on NM News and Views Bill Redmond talked about Chuck Colson coming to Albuquerque on August 25th Evangelicals and Catholics coming together for this conference. It will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center. We will keep you posted.

Another sign that revival is underway............

Don't ever forget that God brought Evangelicals and Catholics together to stop same sex marriage here in New Mexico.

So I see the Church coming together and Christian media, no small feat, but in God is the one with the power to do so.

Folks have asked how is Sam doing........we are praying for Sam's health........

Hi there Dewey, and Sharon.
I haven't been too well the last week, but had two great weeks before that. My Granddaughter and I went to fix-up/touch-up some statues we have here in town. It was fun, and I am teaching my Katie to paint them. She loves it, so I don't have to worry about them getting touched up anymore. Plus she has a new job..:)
I'm going camping this coming week with my sister. Just for two nights but I plan on catching Alot of Trout! hopefully.. ;)
Then I've got to see a Specialist about my illness. Hopefully he can help me. My body is fighting against itself, and when I have a breakout, its very uncomfortable. Painful even. But it seems to stop on its own now, maybe after I see the Dr he will give me something to help. I can tell when its doing it, I feel very weird. I can only pray.
Thank you so much for your caring heart!! God Bless you and Sharon!! sincerely, sam

Ryan Freeman is our new KKIM Ministry Rep. Ryan's duties are to develop relationships with Church's and Christian Businesses. Part of his training is to talk to present day KKIM Ministry sponsors and listeners and get a Godly feel for the station. I got this email from KKIM Ministry Sponsors Eric and Chris after a phone call from Ryan........

Shalom Dewey,

Got a call from Ryan this p.m. What a great kid! Very polite, very focused. Asked what we like about KKIM. Answer: NM News and Views. What else?, he asked. We answered the KKIM Crew’s dedication to the L-rd. It’s not about U guys – it’s about the L-rd.

Always great to hear Bill Redmond. Thanks KKIM!

The Cowboy and the Rabbi on Sh-av this weekend!

Love ‘ya,

Eric and Chris

Tune in to “Sh’av,” on KKIM-AM 1000 and FM 94.7 Radio

On the internet: http://www.mykkim.com/

Saturday 11:30 p.m. & Sunday at 4 p.m. Mountain Time

By the way Eric and Chris have a DYNAMITE program this weekend! make sure and check it out Saturday at 11:30pm and Sunday at 4pm. By the way Saturday nights at 11pm on KKIM Front Page Jerusalem airs, a great way to keep up on news from the mid-east.

If your Church or business would like to inquire about becoming a KKIM Ministry Sponsor please call Ryan Freeman at 878-0980 from 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday.

One final note on this Friday........ I called Pastor Massimo at First Baptist in Espanola last night after the radio program just to check in with him as his Church is holding vacation Bible School this week for around 200 children. I Wanted him to know we have been praying for him and his team and thanking him again for having me and Sharon up last week to preach. I also shared with him the news that the Fed's had arrested 34 thugs in Espanola in a drug trafficking ring that distributed heroin, cocaine and meth.

Federal health officials have consistently rated Espanola has having the nations highest per capita death rate from heroin overdoses. Let us pray on this. I told Massimo I really feel God put him in Espanola because of the darkness there. He is reaching God's little children at his Church, he is reaching into the community. By the way you can hear the excellent teachings of Pastor Massimo Sundays at 1:05pm on KKIM.

Let us pray...............

Lord, We pray for the Espanola Valley, we pray that Your light will shine in this Valley! We pray that more like Pastor Massimo will come into the Valley to Spread Your Word! We thank you Lord for the airwaves of KKIM FM that is reaching into the Valley! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Thursday CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our LORD be with you and yours forever and ever!

"The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained."
President George Washington, 1789, Inaugural Address

What do we then expect God to do with the United States of America?

How is your walk with Jesus going?

Are you absorbing HIS Word each day?

Are you listening to the Lord?

Are you going forward each day on your will? or the Lord's Will for your life? When you have to make a decision do you pray first? Do you listen for the Lord?

Please pray for our Country.

Please pray for our friend Roger.

Please pray for our friend Marilee

Let us pray for all the unspoken prayer needs out there.........Many have needs but do not voice them..........

The more I know MY OWN sinfulness, the less inclined I am to disparage OTHERS" He who's been forgiven much loves much"Lk7:47

Your blocked door doesn't mean that God doesn't love you. Quite the opposite - it's proof that He does. From Max Lucado

When that door is shut, the Lord is protecting you!

I am so blessed to be with you today! I feel the Holy Spirit so strong this morning here at the CUP!

We Love you all!

Do not get sucked up in all the darkness around you!

Phillips Brooks, in his sermon Going Up to Jerusalem wrote:

Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks.

QUICK CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Just a short CUP this am.........

We had a tough game last night but this old man and our Shortstop Dave, turned 4 double plays! Also made back to infield diving catch running toward centerfield......also same play if right field, but I could not hang onto the ball! Only one hit last night, time to hit the cage, just not hitting the ball like I should in last 4 games! For God's Glory Alone playing ball at 54 when at 5 years old Doctor's said I may never run and play with the other kids! I think that is why I get such a kick out of playing! Thanks to my Dad and Mom who took me to the Doctor early as the hip disease set in at age 4, PRAISE GOD!!!

"The word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:25

All human teaching shall pass away; but we are assured that the Word of the Lord shall endure forever and ever!!!!! PRAISE GOD.......

Man's word's shall pass........but not Almighty God's!!!!!!

Let us remember that!
