ps to cup

Dear KKIM Family,

I just had to pass along these items to you before the weekend..........From Pastor Hay and Dr. Joe Fawcett...........

First, this heart warming story Dr. Joe just sent in.........

The Story of Eddie

Eddie Ogan is a grandmother from Colville, Washington. She wrote in a denominational newsletter about an experience when she was 14 years old as she and two sisters were living with their widowed mom in 1946:

A month before Easter, the pastor of our church announced that a special Easter offering would be taken to help a poor family. He asked everyone to save and give sacrificially. When we got home, we talked about what we could do. We decided to buy 50 pounds of potatoes and live on them for a month. This would allow us to save $20 of our grocery money for the offering.

Then we thought that if we kept our electric lights turned out as much as possible and didn't listen to the radio, we'd save money on that month's electric bill. [My sister] Darlene got as many house and yard cleaning jobs as possible, and both of us babysat for everyone we could. That month was one of the best of our lives. Every day we counted the money to see how much we had saved…Every Sunday the pastor had reminded everyone to save for the sacrificial offering. The day before Easter, [my sister] Ocy and I walked to the grocery store and got the manager to give us three crisp $20 bills and one $10 bill for all our change. …We could hardly wait to get to church!

On Sunday morning… I heard some teenagers talking about the Smith girls having on their old dresses. I looked at them in their new clothes, and I felt so rich.

When the sacrificial offering was taken, we were sitting on the second row from the front. Mom put in the $10 bill, and each of us girls put in a $20. As we walked home after church, we sang all the way. At lunch Mom had a surprise for us. She had bought a dozen eggs, and we had boiled Easter eggs with our fried potatoes!

Late that afternoon the minister drove up in his car. Mom went to the door, talked with him for a moment, and then came back with an envelope in her hand. We asked what it was, but she didn't say a word. She opened the envelope and out fell a bunch of money. There were three crisp $20 bills, one $10 bill and seventeen $1 bills. Mom put the money back in the envelope. We didn't talk, just sat and stared at the floor. We had gone from feeling like millionaires to feeling [poor].

All that week, we girls went to school and came home, and no one talked much. Finally on Saturday, Mom asked us what we wanted to do with the money. What did poor people do with money? We didn't know. We'd never known we were poor.

[That Sunday] At church we had a missionary speaker. He talked about how churches in Africa made buildings out of sun-dried bricks, but they need money to buy roofs. He said $100 would put a roof on a church. The minister said, "Can't we all sacrifice to help these poor people?"

We looked at each other and smiled for the first time in a week. Mom reached into her purse and pulled out the envelope. She passed it to Darlene. Darlene gave it to me, and I handed it to Ocy. Ocy put it in the offering. When the offering was counted, the minister announced that it was a little over $100. The missionary was excited. He hadn't expected such a large offering from our small church. He said, "You must have some rich people in this church." Suddenly it struck us! We had given $87 of that "little over $100." We were the rich family in the church! Hadn't the missionary said so? From that day on I've never been poor again…

You see, like Christ and like these Macedonian Christians, and like Eddie’s family in the 1940’s, our wealth is not measured by our keeping, but by our giving – not by our treasure on earth, but by our treasure in heaven.

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Now from Pastor Hay.........

II Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Good morning. Yesterday we talked about trusting in the Lord and to live your life according to His word. The last days will bring perilous times but even in the midst of those times you must trust in the power of God to keep you from joining those who choose to follow the rest of the world. This scripture has become even more real in our lifetime. In China a man walked into a kindergarten class and stabbed 28 children, in Chicago 458 people were murdered in 2009 and 113 since January this year, and the evening news is filled with evidence of this scripture being fulfilled daily. Do not focus on the evil of the times but rather on the power of God to keep you from them. Paul tells us one of the signs of the times is “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” When you feel the times are more than you can bear remember God gives power to the faint. Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Christians need to stand up and not only tell those around them that God is still in the life changing business but live their lives in the power given them by God! Great music, the latest technology, the perfect facilities, and the greatest programs do not have the power to change lives. We must stop denying the power of God by trusting in everything but God to change lives. Do not worry trust God, He will protect and keep you even in the perilous times you are living in.
Please pray for the Robert Carroll family,
Have a blessed day,
Pastor Hay

Hi Dewey,
I just wanted to thank you for the time you took with me today, it was a pleasure meeting you. Also, thank you again for the book and the coffee mugs!
I am looking forward to seeing how KKIM and Light for Dark Days can work together. I would love to meet with you again in a week or so and talk more about this opportunity. That time will allow me to pull some items and ideas together.

On a side note, both Mark and I belong to a group of Christian photographers that get together once a month to encourage each other, learn from each other and to glorify God through the process. I didn't know if this may be something your son would be interested in checking out. Please feel free to pass along my contact info if you think he would be. We meet at Calvary Chapel on the last Friday of the month from 7pm - 9pm. Our next meeting is actually tomorrow night.

I look forward to talking with you soon.
Heather White

Heather and her husband Mark love KKIM! I am meeting new listeners everyday at the Radio Ranch. Folks are coming through the doors almost everyday to say hello! PRAISE GOD! I give Glory and Praise to God for all HE is doing in our Ministry work!

Heather gave me and Sharon a picture she had taken of a ladder in a dark room......but light shining on the ladder as it goes up to the ceiling........

With this scripture..........

In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God,

He was in the beginning with God.

All things were made through Him,

and without Him nothing was made

that was made. In Him was life,

and the life was the light of men.

And the light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness did not comprehend it.

John 1: 1-5

Do we need to know anymore? Yes I know we do.....but WOW! That scripture just gives me such peace!

Sharon and I love you all.........

Let us pray.........

Lord, Thank you for the Body of Christ........as we all come together for YOUR purpose.......In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

A CUP of HEAVEN! KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Please enjoy this CUP..it's for you!

We have this update on Scott.............

Dearest Dewey,

Paul's cousin Scott is still very much in need of prayer. As I wrote previously, a large tumor was removed from his brain on Friday. The initial progress was slow, but positive, however, Scott was completely unresponsive today. It was the opinion of one of the doctors that it may be time to consider removing the machines that are currently sustaining him. The primary surgeon did not agree and feels that there is still some hope. Scotts parents, wife and children are beside themselves and are asking for the fervent prayers of your faithful readers/listeners. Can you please rally your warriors to pray for marked improvement tomorrow (Thursday)? I feel in my heart that he is going to be okay, but he is truly in need of a miracle - thankfully our gracious Savior performs them daily.

As always, I thank you for all that you do in His name,

Taunya

We are Praying Taunya!

Here are some thoughts the Lord has put on my heart today.........

Never give God a deadline...........

What is your relationship with the Lord...........

How could you give the ALMIGHTY a deadline.......

Wait upon the Lord.

Wait for the Lord

Be STRONG! Take COURAGE!

Do not be afraid of people who question you as you walk in Obedience to the Lord!

It takes more courage to wait upon the Lord.than to act NOW!

We have been talking about Corruption in our Society.........here is a note from Eric and Chris.....

Shalom Dewey,

From one of our mentors 2 day. So worth sharing - Applies 2 U, lovely Sharon, the Radio Ranch Crew, and YR Mentors:

“As the psalmist proclaims, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, the laborers labor in vain.’ Though I labor I am but a vessel through which God himself works. May He receive ALL the glory, His Kingdom be enhanced, and His people under my care deepened. “

Love ‘ya,

Eric and Chris

Tune in to “Sh’av,” on KKIM-AM 1000 - KKIM 94.7 FM Radio

On the internet:

Saturday 11:30 p.m. & Sunday at 4 p.m.

Wow Michelle Blood tells me that over 1,500 people came to Christ through the Weekend Remember Marriages Conferences held across our Great Country! PRAISE GOD!

There are 990 Church's in New Mexico for every person

Fewer than 7% of Protestants and Evangelicals go to Church in New Mexico...that figure goes up to 10% when you include Catholics.

Those figures come from my new friend Pastor Nate Bush who is Pastor of New City Christian Church in Albuquerque. Nate has planted New City at Bosque School in Albuquerque and has all these fresh stats, as he studied where to put the Church.

I will remind you of a stat that I use.......Many people think that Christian Radio preaches to the Choir! Not so, As 40% of those who listen to Christian Radio or watch Christian TV do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

So when I hear from Michelle that over 1500 accepted Christ through Weekend To Remember events........and see what's happening with KKIM and the Daily Cup and our TV program.....I get very excited as we work together to bring people to Christ and also encourage people in their daily walk with Jesus.

I get asked time to time...How do you like your job?

I do not have a job....I have a calling to Evangelize all over the World........I have a calling not a vocation..or a profession. There is a huge difference! When you are called by our Lord to do something.........WOW!

Pastor Larry Moss has taught me much about the Calling of the Lord.......have you been called?

Larry says too many are becoming Pastor's as professionals, a job.......a career........rather than the calling of the Lord.

Larry has me reading Os Guinness book, "The Call" I would suggest you read it. It is not just for Pastor's it's for everyone!

That's is why when people ask me to enter Public Office...I say, I have not been called as of yet to do that........Listen for the Call of the Lord.........Or is your phone line always busy and the Lord cannot get a hold of you?

Pastor Mark Tross says that my interview with Randy Alcorn, Author of "Heaven" and some 30 books, was AWESOME! Thank you Mark. Randy has been called by the Lord to take the Bible and share about Heaven. His books are all Biblically sound and he puts his writings down on paper so we can understand heaven better.

Randy will be at Desert Springs Church in Albuquerque Friday evening thru Sunday morning speaking at the Church's Conference. Go to www.desertspringschurch.org for more info.

Just a reminder that Dewey's Daily Cup is on radio Wed at 3:30pm and a condensed version is on Saturdays at 5:05pm and Sundays at 6:15am and 5:20pm.

So if you can catch the interview with randy Alcorn this weekend.

Another reminder, by going to www.mykkim.com you can listen to us anywhere in the World! PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Let me just share that I do not think we as the Church talk enough about Heaven........Satan........Hell.........and Spiritual Warfare. All in the Bible.

On Heaven Randy Alcorn says God is preparing us for Heaven........yes God is preparing us..........are you listening? Are you walking ever so close the the Lord?

From Randy's book......50 days of Heaven......

Rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:30

It becomes us to spend this life only as a journey toward heaven......Why should we labor for or set our hearts on anything else, but that which is our proper end and true happiness?

Those are the words of Jonathan Edwards

Let us pray............

Lord thank you for folks like Randy Alcorn who answer Your Call. We love you Lord. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

PS Gretchen and Brian made it safely to Las Vegas and Sharon is feeling better. Thank you all for your prayers and calls and concerns.

Pastor Leonard is back from Texas and say all went super! Many came to Christ at the meetings!

Pastor Kyle Martin is back from Sedona and says the Revival was a HUGE SUCSESS!

All for God's Glory Alone!!!

A Quick CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS family,

May the Peace, Strength, and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

Something to think about...................

From the Book, "Hitler's Cross" by Erwin W. Lutzer, who is very familiar to many of you.

Pastor Larry Moss has talked about the book on NM News and Views and again on the taping of our TV program which airs on KAZQ CH32 Comcast 22 Sat at 6pm Sun at 7pm.

I would encourage you to watch and also get the book......It is the story of how the Cross of Christ was used as a symbol of the Nazi agenda.

A Quote from the book..........and we wonder why we are at in our society.........

What is taught in Philosophy classrooms today is believed by the man on the street tomorrow.

Let us pray on this scripture from the Word of God.............just think of that THE WORD OF GOD........

Psalm 90:4

For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night.

God is all.......God is everything...........God is God.........

Ps.......Pastor Garland Moore was with us taping our TV program for the next week....two AWESOME TV programs coming your way.For God's Glory Alone!

Lord willing I will interview Randy Alcorn today at 3:30 on KKIM/KARS. Randy is the Author of the book, "Heaven". he will be at Desert Springs Church in Albuquerque this weekend, details at 3:30, Lord Willing..by the way have you read James 4?

The Good Book is where I pray you visit today......the best destination point everyday of your life.

PS or more than a PS KKIM/DDC

When you are going through decision making...or a tough time........resist the pressure of others..and wait upon the Lord.....When you are close to God........you will hear HIS voice.......

Psalm 117:8-9

It is better to trust in the LORD
Than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the LORD
than to put confidence in princes.

God knows all.........HE has plans for you..........

Walk so ever close with our LORD!

It will change your life....you will receive POWER in our LORD!

You see failure and corruption all around you? It is because man put's his confidence in man.

This is why America is failing today.......because overall we have put our confidence in man..........like kicking out the National day of Prayer in our Military! For Heaven sakes! We kick God out of the Military that is to protect us?

As Pastor Mark Tross said after hearing this, "We are living on the edge.........in fact we maybe over the edge on this one."

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

We have been talking about the Holy Spirit.......

“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” Acts 1:8, NKJV

I pray that you took the time to read Acts 20 yesterday! I have to say once again that pastor Mark Scales really hit the nail on the head with his sermon based on Acts 20. The Power of the Holy Spirit........it is AWESOME!

It is the greatest HIGH you will ever receive here on earth!

Please pray for the Aaron Goldman family of Los Alamos, Aaron passed on yesterday. Aaron and his lovely wife Peggy were so kind to Sharon and I when we were members of the same Church, Los Alamos Methodist Church. Aaron was a servant of our Lord.he served on the mission field....especially serving Native Americans.....he also was a runner...I think he was still running in his 70's! I will never forget one Sunday after Church Aaron and Peggy had breakfast with us and it was such a down to earth time...one of those times that just sticks in your mind forever and ever. I value time with friends and good solid conversation, with a good cup of coffee.

God Bless the memory of Aaron Goldman, a very tender hearted man of God.

I will think of Aaron every time I get out on the softball field.......as I am thankful that at my age I still can get out there and have fun!

Aaron had a freedom about him........a freedom in the Lord.......

Acts 1:8 fits Aaron very well....the Power of the Holy Spirit was upon Aaron here on earth now in Heaven.

Live your life in the Spirit...not outside of it!

I have to say also that the Methodist Church in Los Alamos, has many mission programs.........they are such AWESOME servants of our Lord.

Speaking of softball.......we won last night over St. Johns Catholic Church 22-21! WOW! What a game..came down to the last hitter, Craig knocked in the winning run!!! Game time was 8:30pm.......past my bedtime!!!! LOL! LOL!

Let me leave you with this today...but on my heart for you all is to read Acts 20....and also James 4 today.........The Word of God becomes alive in you when you read it!

Instead of seeking a place of POWER.........be still.............

Words of Chuck Swindoll.......

Today we have forgotten the importance of the hidden work of God. As a result (and remember this), we immediately thrust people into notoriety, bestowing on them unbelievable POWER, and then we wonder why they are corrupted. Unless we are ready for it, POWER will destroy us! This is no small matter in the Church today. Because of our wholesale ignorance of hidden preparation, we have thrust untold numbers of workers into the limelight before they were ready.

Wise words from Chuck Swindoll.........I think the latest example of that maybe Scott Brown? I barley can remember his name!, who won the election in Mass, taking Ted Kennedy's seat. Many people thought he was going to help save the Country!

Or when President Obama took office........many thought He would save the country.......

My point is, many get placed in positions of POWER, and are not ready.....nor have the POWER of the Holy Spirit.

I look at the Governors race here in New Mexico, let us look beyond the WORDS.......Let us look at the person........who is this? Are they a follower of Jesus Christ, Are they a Bondservant of Christ?

Those are questions we should look at before we promote someone in all aspects of life.

We seem to be in such of a hurry to promote people and then expect instant change.

Real Change only comes..with God.

Let us pray.............

Lord, I pray today that all will be in Your Word today........I pray today many will be set free today like Aaron reading Your Word.......May the Power of The Holy Spirit come upon many today! In the name of Jesus, AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family

Prayer Needs/Devotional KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Oh, I thank my Lord for the words HE has given me to share with you today.....all from God!

I thank my Lord for being at the point in my walk with HIM where I don't do anything, or at least 95% of the time, without hearing from HIM first! Sometimes the flesh still get's me, of course!

God never changes.............we do..........

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

When faced with fear and anxiety, reflect on this verse.

go deeper........Isaiah 40: 27-31

I will sing of my Redeemer,

And His wondrous love to me;

On the cruel cross He suffered,

From the curse to set me free.

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer;

With His blood, He purchased me.

On the cross, He sealed my pardon,

Paid the debt, and made me free! AMEN! AMEN!

Keep these words on the tip of your tongue today..........

Obedience to God.........Godly Common sense.........Good clean Godly living...........

Our personal relationship and fellowship with God is the most important relationship.

Please pray with us............

Please pray the marriage of for Alex and Rhiannan. Economic stress in marriages can really rock the relationship. Please keep them in your prayers.

Please pray for Janet Letcher's father, Frank who has internal bleeding.

Please pray for the health of, Frank Vallejos, Judy, Marlene Munoz, and Pastor Angeles Salido.

Also please keep Raul and Kelly in your prayers as they approach their wedding!

We have this prayer need for Scott.........

Dearest Dewey,

My husbands cousin, Scott Wykoff, has been sick for a while with what they thought was a stomach ailment (continual vomiting). Yesterday they decided to do a CT scan and discovered the source; a brain tumor. It was so invasive that he was whisked to surgery immediately. They removed the tumor (which did not appear to be cancerous) that was outside the brain and partially removed a cyst that had formed inside the brain. The Drs. indicated that the first 24-48 hours after the surgery would be the most indicative of his prognosis and thus far (the surgery ended at about 9p on Friday) they are not impressed with his progress. The tumor was growing on the part of the brain that controls the respiratory system and currently, he is unable to breathe continually on his own (although he has taken a couple of breaths on his own). He has opened his eyes a few times, but he is unresponsive and they just roll back in his head.

Dewey, please have your contingent of prayer warriors lift this young father up in prayer - particularly over the next 24 hours. His parents, wife, children (all of whom live in Michigan, along with Scott) and the rest of us can not thank you enough.

In Faith, Hope and Love,

Taunya

Here is an excellent devotional for us that I read this morning from Max Lucado.........

A New Kind of Hero
by Max Lucado

I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep as the Father knows me. ~ John 10:14–15

BEHOLD A HERO of the west: the cowboy.

A thousand head of cattle pass behind him. A thousand miles of trail lie before him. A thousand women would love to hold him. But none do. None will. He lives to drive cattle, and he drives cattle to live. He is honest in poker and quick with a gun. Hard riding. Slow talking. His best friend is his horse, and his strength is his grit.

He needs no one. He is a cowboy. The American hero.

Behold a hero in the Bible: the shepherd.

On the surface he appears similar to the cowboy. He, too, is rugged. He sleeps where the jackals howl and works where the wolves prowl. Never off duty. Always alert. Like the cowboy, he makes his roof the stars and the pasture his home.
But that is where the similarities end.

The shepherd loves his sheep. It’s not that the cowboy doesn’t appreciate the cow; it’s just that he doesn’t know the animal. He doesn’t even want to. Have you ever seen a picture of a cowboy caressing a cow? Have you ever seen a shepherd caring for a sheep? Why the difference?

Simple. The cowboy leads the cow to slaughter. The shepherd leads the sheep to be shorn. The cowboy wants the meat of the cow. The shepherd wants the wool of the sheep. And so they treat the animals differently.

The cowboy drives the cattle. The shepherd leads the sheep.

A herd has a dozen cowboys. A flock has one shepherd.

The cowboy wrestles, brands, herds, and ropes. The shepherd leads, guides, feeds, and anoints.

The cowboy knows the name of the trail hands. The shepherd knows the name of the sheep.

The cowboy whoops and hollers at the cows. The shepherd calls each sheep by name.

Aren’t we glad Christ didn’t call himself the Good Cowboy? But some do perceive God that way. A hard-faced, square-jawed ranch- hand from heaven who drives his church against its will to places it doesn’t want to go.

But that’s a wrong image. Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd. The Shepherd who knows his sheep by name and lays down his life for them. The Shepherd who protects, provides, and possesses his sheep. The Bible is replete with this picture of God.

Eighty percent of Jesus’ listeners made their living off of the land. Many were shepherds. They lived on the mesa with the sheep. No flock ever grazed without a shepherd, and no shepherd was ever off duty. When sheep wandered, the shepherd found them. When they fell, he carried them. When they were hurt, he healed them.

Sheep aren’t smart. They tend to wander into running creeks for water, then their wool grows heavy and they drown. They need a shepherd to lead them to “calm water” (Ps. 23:2). They have no natural defense—no claws, no horns, no fangs. They are helpless. Sheep need a shepherd with a “rod and … walking stick” (Ps. 23:4) to protect them. They have no sense of direction. They need someone to lead them “on paths that are right” (Ps. 23:3).

So do we. We, too, tend to be swept away by waters we should have avoided. We have no defense against the evil lion who prowls about seeking who he might devour. We, too, get lost. “We all have wandered away like sheep; each of us has gone his own way” (Isa. 53:6).

We need a shepherd. We don’t need a cowboy to herd us; we need a shepherd to care for us and to guide us.

He’s not a cowboy, and we aren’t cattle. He doesn’t brand us, and we’re not on the way to the market. He guides, feeds, and anoints. And Word has it that he won’t quit until we reach the homeland.

I love that about Karen Rowe, she writes about the singing of the birds.......when is the last time you heard that sound? Or took the time for God's wonders to soak into your heart?

The great creations of our Lord........we must slow down.........to see and hear all that God has created.........the singing of the birds is so AWESOME!

Think of just all the different animals God created!

Yesterday about 20,000 people took part in the Breast Cancer Walk here in the Duke City! WOW! Praise God for daughter Gretchen, she walked five miles in memory of her Grandma Ruth Moede!

Ya Really gotta be thankful for your kids when they pick up the cause and run with it! PRAISE GOD!

Sharon and I planned to go to Heights Christian Church together yesterday, but she was to ill, so I went alone, but WOW did all the folks make me feel at home!

I was their to pay tribute to Pastor Don Kimbro as he moves on in his Ministry. I do not use the word retirement, because Brother Don and his lovely wife Dorothy will keep fulfilling the Great Commission, like they are in Willard, NM.

Don and Dorothy have become such mentor's of mine! Sharon and I love them much!

As I was praying folks came up to me to give me a hug and shale my hand! The love of God's people is so AWESOME!

Thank you to all who made me feel so welcomed yesterday!

There is nothing like the genuine love of God's people!

Let me share this with you.........to show you how people hunger for the truth, and want honest relationships with people. I had a young man come up to me and he made me cry! For God's Glory Alone! he touched my heart...as I am just trying to be a humble servant of our Lord.......he said, Dewey, I just want to thank you for all you do.When are you going to run for Governor, or even President......There was a time I would laugh that off(okay, President?)....but I now am getting that more and more to run for Governor or a State Rep position, from people of this great state. These folks are serious as a five dollar bill! I realize the hunger of people as I go thru my days here on earth......they want Godly people in office...they want honest people...they want people that are down to earth........They feel such a disconnect with people in office.......they feel the present day office holders have no interest in them!It has become all about the money! When do you see a poor person...or just an average wage earner running for office? When do you see a person running for office that FEELS THE PAIN OF THE PEOPLE?

The young man from Moriarty, NM really touched my heart yesterday.......I seek God's Will in all I do and I will continue to speak out for HIS people. My life is all about what God wants of me. He wants us all to be together in HIM for HIS Will.

I also go thru my day realizing that, as one man told me, I hear every word that you speak Dewey.....I really pay attention to what you say.......

I must be careful that the words I speak are from our Lord and not of me. I will make mistakes, but I have God's people in my heart.

That is why my prayer for all of us.is the Peace, Strength and Wisdom of our LORD be with us.

I pray every moment.........yes I do..........every moment.............as to what to do and say.......

I will continue to do my best for all of you.........I pray I never let you down!

I am weak....I am not that smart........I seek my strength and wisdom from the Lord.

I had know idea that would all happen at Heights yesterday.........

Pastor Mark Scales had a wonderful message in tribute to Pastor Don Kimbro base on The Heartfelt Love of a Pastor" Acts 20: 1-12

I would encourage you to read all of Acts 20.

Pastor Mark Scales delivered one of the best sermons I have heard in my day!!! Every time I visit Heights Christian Church, I end up crying! because the worship services move me so!!!

Friends, I have to tell you if you are not in a Church every Sunday you are missing out on many messages that the Lord has for you!

Read this..........From Acts 20:19.........serving the Lord with all humility, with tears, and with trials.........

Love that, as it hit's home with me.......I pray it hit's home with you.........When we read God's Word it gives us that Strength I talk about....that Wisdom..that peace.......

I want to encourage us all to be in prayer constantly.......to seek the LORDS Will in our lives.......

Thanks to Pastor Don Kimbro and Dorothy for making a HUGE GODLY DIFFERANCE in my life, Sharon's life, and the lives of many!

Let's get to the mailbag.........From Eric and Chris.........
Shalom Sharon,

Know that we’re asking our Abba for you to be completely well. May He put a Doc in your path who either knows and serves Him or one that desperately needs Him NOW; one that you in the middle of your illness, minister to. May our Abba be magnified in your healing! May He dance when the Doc calls Him Lord!

AWESOME “Open Door” w/Nora this weekend! WOW – WOW – WOW! May our God bring more to the Roundhouse who show God in their walk, the way they make decisions, and speak up for His glory!

Love ‘ya,

Eric and Chris

Here is a note from our own Movie Star Dr. Joe out of Texas...........

Howdy Dewey from Dr. Joe,
Not sure if you received this from me a few days ago.
Hope this short "spiritual warfare" video I wrote, directed, cast, produced and have a small role in as the "white haired angel" speaks to you. It's intended audience are 12 year olds to teenagers, but its really for all ages that want a "lesson" in what happens when you go outside of God's boundaries for us.
Closiing credits are at the end and dedicated to the memory of my first born son.
Shot in one day at two locations both in Clovis, CA. The first location was inside an area of the Old Clovis Winery - one of the spookiest places I've ever been.
It's the first time this video has been released in its entirety as it was under contract for many years with SermonSpice. It has been seen in many churches around the nation as well as in some foreign country churches, too.
Feel free to take it "viral"... and feel free to contact me if you have any questions about it:

Let us pray.........

Lord thank you for Your servants Don and Dorothy.......We are so excited to see what YOU have planned for them in the days to come! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Dear KKIM Family..........

Read these words.......please..........carefully........don't rush.........repeat them............prayer over them..........

Beware of any work for God that causes or allows you to avoid concentrating on Him.

Now let's repeat this reading from Billy Graham..........

Our days are numbered. One of the primary goals in our lives should be to prepare for our last day. The legacy we leave is not just in our possessions, but in the quality of our lives. What preparations should we be making now? The greatest waste in all of our earth, which cannot be recycled or reclaimed, is our waste of time that God has given us each day. — Billy Graham

WOW! How impactful!

Here is an update on little Fiona from Belen, NM, who we have been praying for..........

Here's the latest on Fiona, it's in the Journal today. Frank

Two months after her daughter was hospitalized with a brain inexplicably shorting out, Desiree Jaramillo-Egan remembers being told it was time to consider hospice, time to start contemplating goodbye.
"I just want to give you my honest opinion," a tearful doctor had told her. "She might not make it."
She heard the words but could not accept them. Mothers are stubborn like that, passionately unwilling to let their children go so easily.
Thank goodness for that.
"The doctor was as frustrated as I was," she says. "They had done everything they could for my daughter."
Fiona was 3, a fireball in frills who enchanted people with her singing and dancing and a smile that could brighten her mother's worst days.
But that was before Jan. 22. That night, Fiona was home in Belen playing Lucky Ducks with her mother when her cheery face went blank, then blue.
A few times in the two weeks before that, Fiona's eyes had unfocused and rolled back before she vomited, leaving her lethargic and weak but apparently fine.
"But it wasn't consistent," Jaramillo-Egan says. "We didn't know what it was."
That night, Fiona vomited again, and at first it seemed that she had stopped breathing because she was choking.
Jaramillo-Egan was wiping her daughter's mouth with her finger when Fiona bit down hard.
"And I thought, oh, my God, this might be a seizure," she says.
She was right.
For 15 minutes, Jaramillo-Egan, who worked part time in a doctor's office in Belen before her daughter's illness, says she administered CPR and brought Fiona back from the dead. Her daughter required several more lifesaving efforts before she was stabilized at the hospital.
But what was causing her breathing to cease and her brain to seize was a mystery.
"We tested her for, you name it," her mother says. "Swine flu, lupus, Hantavirus, meningitis. We did tests for lead poisoning, copper poisoning, mercury, two spinal taps, four MRIs, genetic testing. Anybody who would think of something, we'd test for that. I felt like we were using my daughter as a testing facility."
Despite steroid treatments, seizure medications, antibiotics, infusions and plasmapheresis, the seizures became more frequent — one time as many as 30 an hour, Jaramillo-Egan says.
Fiona was slipping away.
Gone was the sparkle in her eyes, her ability to walk, talk, hold her head up, move her tiny body, limp and looped with tubes and electrodes. She needed to be diapered again. Her only voluntary movement was flopping her left arm.
These were her mother's worst days, but there were no Fiona smiles to be had.
When doctors finally ran out of ideas, Jaramillo-Egan hadn't.
"I asked for a second opinion," she says. "There's no way I could go home and wait for her to die."
On April 5, Fiona and her mother were medevaced from the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque to The Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colo., for more tests and treatments. And answers.
"The worst thing is not knowing what is doing this to my daughter," Jaramillo-Egan says. "At least if you know, you can have a plan."
Nearly three weeks later, doctors finally have that plan.
On Thursday, test results indicated Fiona has encephalitis with N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antibodies. That mouthful essentially means that a portion of Fiona's brain is under siege by her own immune system. What causes this rare disease, which predominantly strikes women, remains unknown.
The good news is it's treatable. Even before results of her spinal fluid came back positive, doctors had begun treating Fiona with the first of two rounds of Rituxan, a cancer-fighting agent that has become something of a go-to drug for all types of rare diseases, particularly autoimmune diseases.
Fiona, doctors have told her mother, is one of the youngest and more severe cases they have seen, but her prognosis is good.
It will take time, perhaps a year or two, for Fiona to find her way back to being that singing and dancing pixie her mother misses.
"Now it's just the waiting to see if it works," Jaramillo-Egan says. "But at least we finally know what we're up against."
It's a rare moment of relief for a single mother whose crusade to save her daughter is being waged miles away from home, from her 14-year-old son, her family, her friends.
"It's hard to be away," she says. "But this is where we need to be right now."
One night this week, she heard Fiona moan softly. It was the first sound her daughter had made in months.
It is, she thinks, a good sign.
"Just that one second is priceless, and I enjoyed it and cried," she wrote on Fiona's Facebook page. "Come on, baby, fight this, pull through."
Jaramillo-Egan is not about to give up that fight.

PRAISE GOD for this news....Friends, thank you for your prayers....Let us keep Jannetta, Our DAILY CUP webmaster and of Albuquerque Rescue Mission, in our prayers as she mourns the loss of her Brother.

For God's Glory Alone!

Hi Dewey: Thanks for your message and your encouragement! Our Lord is the greatest. How ironic that my buddies in high school and college called me Saul. I am so thankful that I have been redeemed and my name is Paul.
Sorry to hear of your dogs passing. We have had many four legged friends over the years and know how painful their loss is.
May the Lord continue to bless you and use you.
See you in heaven one day.

Your friend in Christ,
Paul Dokken

Love that Paul......see you in heaven!

Don't worry though, I know my Sandy is showing her all the good places to chase the prettiest butterflies! : )
I'm sure Brownie is happy and I'm sure that Brownie would want you to be happy too...

After all ...Making you happy was God's purpose in giving you Brownie and giving you to Brownie was God's purpose in showing Brownie love!

Gotta love em. Brownie is still alive...Brownie's love goes on even when we can't see.

God Bless, Karen Rowe

Hi Dewey,

I know you are pulled in many directions, but, when you sit down to share the next Cup, I wanted to let you know that Mark's wife, Juliet, had an article publish over TakeRootandWrite.com. I thought, if appropriate, it would be nice to give her a shout of support. Here's the link if you can share:

http://www.takerootandwrite.com/2010/04/pastors-plumbersor-jesus.html

Also, I'm getting ready to publish another article from someone who attended our March StepUP event. Juliet was this week and Melanie will publish next Thursday or Friday. Shonda and I are getting ready to launch a StepUP blog. We are so excited about the opportunities God is laying before us. Thanks for all the support you and KKIM have given us.

God Bless, Shona

I Love it.......We hear from folks all over Roy and LeeAnn are from Colorado........

Hi Dewey,
Loved today's cup, especially the part about the census. If we could instill the honor, integrity, and the religious beliefs of that generation in todays leaders, we would have a much better place to live.
Blessings,

Roy & LeeAnn

Hi Dewey,

Last night on NM News and Views, Angel Murchison Fridays at 2:30 on KKIM joined live from Maine! Here is a note from her........She is an AWESOME prayer warrior....

Hi Dewey and Sharon,

wow my world is getting shaken up. I am planning on going to Israel May 23rd. I wanted you to read the declaration I wrote and Prayed at the Aglow meeting in Bar Harbor, Maine. I will be declaring ancient promises in Israel. This is way out of my comfort zone. Going with folks I don't really know but from around the world. Please continue to pray for me. I interviewed a woman Monday evening for Destiny Moments. She was a breast cancer survivor and I thought we were going to interview about that. Instead she said the Lord told her to talk about no excuses for when he calls to go on missions or on foreign soil....She went with a cath, just finished chemo and had four surgeries prior. Went not feeling well. The key ---obedience--isn't that easy to talk about. It really shook me up. Anyway I'm preparing to do things ahead of time for radio. Please continue to pray for me for the finances to come together as well as the flight connections, etc..I sense Jesus is asking more of you too. Whatever it is step out...walk on the water...Together with Jesus we'll continue to touch the nation(s) for his glory. Much love and prayers, Angel

Here is the prayer Angel shared with us last night on NM News and Views..........She prayed this for us as KKIM turned 38 years young this month......

“You will decree a thing and it will be established for you and light will shine on your ways” (Job 22:28

We decree that KKIM, KARS and other radio and television programs will expand into new territories.
We decree we will see much fruit from streaming audio, video, broadcasts, podcasts and other forms of media and airwaves and souls will be saved. More souls than we could ever think or imagine.
We decree people will be set free from the bondages that have kept them from experiencing the true freedom of Christ. He paid a dear price for their freedom and we declare and decree they are free.
We declare that the dreams and visions that God placed in the heart of his people will awaken and begin to be fulfilled in the name of Jesus all across this globe. We speak to that unfilled destiny in them and say you will be fulfilled.
We declare and decree that the Love of Christ will go throughout the land by every means possible so that everyone will hear the gospel, the true and full gospel.
We declare that these airwaves know no lack. Jesus meets every need according to his riches in glory. We declare financial freedom in the name of Jesus.
We declare and decree that Godly leaders will rise up all across this globe.
We decree that our prayer and worship has changed the atmosphere and we will see signs, wonders and miracles according to the Holy Scriptures all across this land.
We decree the light of Christ will grower brighter in these dark times.
We decree that unity among the churches and brethren that preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ will be established this day.

All for the glory of God! For he is King and ruler of everything. Praise his wonderful name. Jesus!

We Love Angel so much..She writes me prayer letters.......I keep them.....she actually sits down and writes me prayer letters.....what a heart she has!

Here is a note from Pastor Lorenzini of First Baptist Church in Espanola, Sundays at 1:05pm on KKIM.......

VS

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

Let us pray........

Lord, Thank you for this day......we pray that we will serve YOU in an AWESOME way! Today and always, For your GLORY ALONE!
In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the truest sense, Christian pilgrims have the best of both worlds. We have joy whenever this world reminds us of the next, and we take solace whenever it does not.

Some random thoughts........no, I must say the Lord has given them to me!

I know I thank my mentor's a lot.........but I mean that........they have helped me walk closer to the Lord!

Everyone needs mentor's.........accountability groups........would be a better world if everyone would allow themselves to be held accountable by a group of Believers.

Wake up everyday saying you will not do or say anything stupid,

Here is the greatest gift ever...When you walk close to the Lord.........so close... you feel HIM! No I am not nuts...Just nuts for my LORD!...But I am here to tell you that when your relationship is spot on with the LORD..you will feel HIM!

It is the greatest HIGH ever!

Don't turn to the left....don't turn to the right........go straight ahead with the LORD.

So when I always talk about our walk with Jesus Christ..........I am experiencing it........
my walk seems to get stronger each day.........

Do I have down moments?....yes.........do I ever have doubts? yes........do I ever have bad things happen to me? YES! Am I perfect NO!!!!!!!!!

Our Lord did not promise a bed of Roses.........He promised us eternal Life with HIM!

I know.know the difference my dear, dear friends........I BURNED TO THE GROUND!!! My friends say I rose like the Phoenix.......My hero is Paul....Once a sinner, now saved and on fire for the LORD and living the rest of my life for HIM!!!!!!!!

I know the difference between HEAVEN and Hell!!!

I know no phony Gospel.......I know Jesus!

Is your life bearing fruit? If not.....you are not in the Will of our Lord.

Jesus said, "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me" John 15:4

PRAISE GOD!!!!

Let us pray............Lord, Thank you for all who read the CUP and listen to KKIM and KARS! May we all grow closer to YOU! In the name of JESUS, AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

What are u Watching and Listening to? KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever! AMEN!

Here is a Tweet I got from Max Lucado today.......

"Happy are those who don't listen to the wicked" (Ps.1:1) monitor your media intake today. Watch or listen to programs that help you live God.

I added the words......or listen.........Bathe in KKIM/KARS today.........bathe in the word of God.........Bathe in all our Godly programming.......YOU WON'T GET WET! But we pray you will absorb God by listening to KKIM/KARS!

We are what we watch and listen too!

Are you listening to a bunch of NOTHING NOISE?

Going on 39 years......KKIM is a GIFT from our LORD! It is here for YOU!

Are we perfect?.....no..........but everyday we seek Broadcast in excellence for our LORD! Always praying and seeking the Lord's Will.

Here at the Radio Ranch we seek Broadcast excellence everyday!

I continued to be sadden by some of the things Christians watch and listen to. It is surprising at times what fellow believers tell me what they are watching on TV or listening to. When you walk close with Jesus, He will tell you what to watch/listen and what not to watch/listen to. It is called discernment.

Prayer Needs...........

Let us pray for Ken and Julia Daniels of Albuquerque whose 4 year old little boy shot himself to death yesterday. Little Luke found a gun in the house and pulled the trigger.

Let us pray for Pastor Leonard Navarre as he travels to Texas to be with his son and they both will be Preaching together! PRAISE GOD!

Let us continue to pray for the Revival going on in Sedona, Arizona!

Here is a note from Al our Program manager at KARS 860 am...Al found this in the March edition of the Readers Digest. I read it on NM News and Views last night.........

In 1790, it took 650 census workers to count 3.9 million people-----6,000 people per census taker. Today it takes 650,000 census workers to count 308 million people-----474 people per census taker. Today's census workers have so many more advantages. Census by mail takes care of two thirds of citizens, while cars, telephones, and computers cover the other third. If we made today's census workers ride horseback and use pencils and scraps of paper like they did back then, could we get productivity back up to 1790 levels?

Also..............Who said these words?

"Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "The Buck Stops Here", Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our Children and Grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership."

Be careful as to what you say.........Scroll down for answer, as to who said this.............

more.................

more..........

Sen. Barack Obama Congressional Record 3/16/06

Enough said...............

As Mark Twain said, "The only difference between a Democrat and a Republican is they are spelled different."

Let us pray....................

Lord, let us read, listen to your Word..........Let us STOP listening and watching junk! Let us all absorb YOU into our hearts and souls! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!!!

KKIM NEWS ALERT

Dear KKIM Family,

Weeks ago KKIM News told you about the Abortion Doctor(Curtis Boyd) setting up shop in the Duke City......We are hearing from many of you today on the story that was carried by OnenewsNow. Frank Haley and I just met and wanted you to know we will continue to monitor this story.

The number one thing we can do is go to our Lord.........Call upon our Lord.............for years we have been saying Let us stop Abortions in this Country........Let us stop killing the Lord's Children who may have been picked by our Lord to cure cancer....be the next President of the United States...to be a School Teacher....a Mother of 8 children........

Let us pray for repentance..........

Let us pray to our Lord that Abortion be struck down!!!!

Albuquerque - world's next abortion capital?
Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 4/19/2010 5:00:00 AM
Local pro-life groups are getting prepared to deal with a late-term abortion facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman recently visited "The Duke City" to plan strategy with local pro-lifers, and he explains why that city has taken on fresh importance.

"Since the death of Mr. George Tiller in Wichita, Kansas, we see that there's one place emerging that wants to become the next abortion capital of the world -- and that's Albuquerque, New Mexico, with Curtis Boyd," Newman reports. "He's actually hired two of Tiller's former abortionists."

Boyd, who brags about the illegal abortions he performed prior to Roe v. Wade, operates and finances Southwestern Women's Options, a late-term facility in Dallas. But the Operation Rescue president is convinced the Albuquerque pro-life community is gearing up to deal with the new late-term abortion clinic.

"I just met with the people from Albuquerque -- fantastic Christian community out there -- and to Boyd we say he's got another thing coming," Newman comments. "There [are] a lot of good Christian people, and they're simply not going to stand to see their community become the next abortion capital of the world."

The strategy involves several plans which will all be both legal and peaceful. First is to deal with companies that do business with Boyd, and a second plan of action is to convince pro-lifers to run for political office with intentions of changing New Mexico's law and prohibiting late-term abortions.

While I am here with you.......We just got an update from Jose who is at the REVIVAL in Sedona, Arizona with Kyle Martin..........Let us pray about holding a REVIVAL in the Duke City.If you would like to help and pray for this effort email me please! We are on our way.........

Hello from Arizona Dewey.

We are participating in the "Awakening the Valley" here in the Verde Valley (Sadona) AZ.

It is a remarkable experience with Kyle Martin and John Lay. The spirit of the Lord is moving as it did in Revive Santa Fe if not more so. Jaci Velasquez sang last evening and we'll have Bill Miller perform and give testimony tonight.

Please keep the event in your prayer. The website is awakenthevalley.com. The event is being webcast so folks may want to log on.

Yours in Christ,

Jose

Romans 12: 1-2 KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

Pastor Leonard just sent me this verse..........Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world........But let God transform you........

This ties in what we have been preaching for years here at the CUP..........not of this world......it is very simple why we are in trouble as a Country and World. Many have fallen into the behavior and customs of this world.

The Word of God is forever and ever......It's truth never dies.........that's why it drives me nuts when I will get the comment..."Well, maybe the Bible doesn't fit today's World"

I say the World does not fit the Bible!!!!!!

Rom 12:1-2

"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

DEATH OF COMONSENSE CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May God be with you and yours today and forever..........

"I we ever forget that we are One nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under." President Ronald Reagan AMEN!

"We need a revival of common courtesy" WOW! WOW! Thanks to Dennis Rainey of Family Life Today for those words! Weekdays at 7am and 8:30pm on KKIM

MEN: BOLDLY LOVE YOUR WIFE AND CHILDREN

Please pray for Kyle Martin who is holding a revival in Sedona, Arizona this week! Kyle of course held a revival in Santa Fe over a year ago and we are still reaping the harvest of the thousands of seeds that were planted from that revival! Kyle is on KKIM weekdays at 5:30am 7:35am and 4pm.

We are still praying for a revival in Albuquerque!

Thank God for Pastor Don Kimbro, weekdays at 7:30am and pm on KKIM, and crew on holding a revival in Willard, NM! We pray the revival continues in Willard!

Please pray for Sharon who is ill and also Franchesca who is ill.

Please read all the way through this post........Don Johnson of Afterglow, heard Sundays at 8pm on KKIM www.mykkim.com has a great piece on the DEATH OF COMMONSENSE!

I thank the Lord for giving me the words to share with you on the CUP and on the radio each day..

Would you pray for me?

I am getting so many requests for people to be interviewed........people wanting me to go here and there........people wanting me to announce there mission........

Those of you who know me well, know that I do not want to disappoint anyone! I need to be wise in what I do and use the time available on the radio wisely. I also need to pray for the Lord's wisdom in who and what is on the radio.......sometimes people seem to pick up the phone or send an email and expect to be on the radio.

The Lord runs this ship, not me, I will continue to pray for discernment when it comes to all aspects of my life.

My Pastor Jim Montoya told me to go home Sunday and get rest to be refreshed for the start of the week. A Brother watching out for a Brother.........Jim is very good at that, and I have to do the same thing for him.

The onslaught of people wanting on air or my time is at an all time high........I want to be careful in what I do, please cover me in prayer.

I would not write this if I did not care so much about God's people. We all have to be aware that there are those out in the World that want to use Ministries like KKIM/KARS for themselves and not God.

One of the duties the Lord has given me is to watch over HIS Ministries of KKIM/KARS and the CUP!

Also people wanting me to do this or that........I can see why people get burned out they become like the wind, they go anywhere at anytime.......even if they have not prayed about it. Sometimes we lose God's Will in being hurried. We lose real focus and strength.

That is why I always try to start the CUP with May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

There is nothing like the having the Lord's Peace and Strength and the same time!!!

I get more done now at 54 than I did 20 years ago because the Lord runs my life.

Let us not be scatter guns...........let us focus like a laser beam for the Lord.

We also need to take care of our families.......I am very protective of Sharon and the kids, in spending time with them.

Remember Men........the sign of a good Husband is the health of his wife! Mental and physical.

Maybe by opening my heart to you all on this it will help you, as you go about your busy schedule.

I also think many would be wise to attend a good old fashion time management class.

I see time being wasted a lot around me.

I did not intend to write about this...but these are the words the Lord gave me today..........I pray all the time.........and I mean all the time.........Every second of my day I am talking or listening to the Lord. I am not smart enough or strong enough to do what I do. The Lord drives my life. AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

Let God plan your day...........keep your eyes on Jesus....as Pastor Garland Moore told me years ago.

We get into trouble when we take our eye's off of Jesus!

Read James 4 today

The Lords Will not ours..........I know I am like a stuck record.......but the Lord has a simple plan for us......Just read His Word and follow His Word and direction.

This is from the National Day of Prayer Folks........I love them!

God's Word for you this week
"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." (Ps.52:8)

Prayer for this week
"Though at times I forget that I dwell in your house, Lord I hold on to the truth that I am literally planted in your house. As an olive tree flourishes in right circumstances, so I am planted firmly in your presence forever. May your unfailing love continue to cause me to flourish as fruit is produced in my life through the power of your eternal Spirit."

Reading for this week
"Revival, as contrasted with a Holy Ghost atmosphere is a clean-cut breakthrough of the Spirit, a sweep of Holy Ghost power, bending the hearts of hardened sinners as the wheat before the wind, breaking up the fountains of the great deep, sweeping the whole range of the emotions, as the master hand moves across the harp strings, from the tears and cries of the penitent to the holy laughter and triumphant joy of the cleansed. They are fools who belittle such holy experiences and warn against 'excessive emotionalism.' Such do not even understand the make-up of 'Mansoul,' still less the ways of the Eternal Lover with His beloved." - Norman Grubb

Here is an excellent piece from Don Johnson, the host of Afterglow on KKIM, Sundays at 8pm..........

MOURNING THE LOSS OF AN OLD FRIEND
With so much is happening around us, we sometimes wonder “why?’ The foundations are crumbling. Past principles are abandoned at will. Something we have relied on may have slipped away with hardly any notice? The following may help answer these questions.

Today we mourn the passing of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.
Common Sense lived a long life but died in the United States from heart failure on the brink of the new millennium. No one really knows how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He selflessly devoted his life to service in schools, hospitals, homes, factories helping folks get jobs done without fanfare and foolishness. For decades, petty rules, silly laws, and frivolous lawsuits held no power over Common Sense. He was credited with cultivating such valued lessons as to know when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, and that life isn't always fair.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adults are in charge, not the kids), and it's okay to come in second. A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, and the Technological Revolution, Common Sense survived cultural and educational trends including body piercing, whole language, and "new math." But his health declined when he became infected with the "If-it-only-helps-one-person-it's-worth-it" virus.
In recent decades his waning strength proved no match for the ravages of well intentioned but overbearing regulations. He watched in pain as good people became ruled by self-seeking lawyers. His health rapidly deteriorated when schools endlessly implemented zero-tolerance policies.
Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, a teen suspended for taking a swig of mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition. It declined even further when schools had to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student but could not inform the parent when a female student was pregnant or wanted an abortion.
Finally, Common Sense lost his will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, criminals received better treatment than victims, and federal judges stuck their noses in everything from the Boy Scouts to professional sports. Finally, when a woman, too stupid to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, was awarded a huge settlement, Common Sense threw in the towel.
As the end neared, Common Sense drifted in and out of logic but was kept informed of developments regarding questionable regulations such as those for low flow toilets, rocking chairs, and stepladders.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility, and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers: My Rights, and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
Mark Twain once declared, “The notices of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Perhaps this might be true of “common sense” as well. Maybe it will live again in you and me.
Till next time, Don Johnson

Thank you so much Don...we love you and the music you put forth for the Lord! catch Don on KKIM Sundays at 8pm.

Let us pray............

Lord, let us all be in prayer all the time........let us pray and listen at the same time...........We await your words.......We love You so much! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

WOW!!! PS

Dear KKIM Family,

WOW! Thanks for all the feedback on Today's posting!!!!!!!!! The Holy Spirit!!!

For God's Glory Alone!

Then at 8:05am this morning on KKIM Dr. Charles Stanley preached on......

Listening to God........Walking with God

Hear part 2 tomorrow on KKIM at 8:05 MT...Remember you folks in Minnesota, New York, California, Israel.........you can listen live at www.mykkim.com!!!

I repeat what Dr. Charles Stanley says, "You cannot not walk with Jesus without the Holy Spirit in your life."

I Give Praise and Thanks to our LORD for all the Ministry programs on KKIM!!!

For God's Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday CUP with Dewey KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May the Strength and Peace of the Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!

May the warmth of the Holy Spirit come upon you as you read today's CUP!!!

It was great to see Cowboy Clarence and his Mom yesterday in Church!!! They came all the way from Socorro to worship with us! Clarence has taught me much about love and having more patients with things. We had a full house in Church yesterday! PRAISE GOD!

WOW! I get to pick up two new books at Bibles Plus today!!!! One is on...Have you answered your calling?........We will be talking about that in upcoming CUPS! Can you say that you have answered God's calling for your life?

Another Book that I am reading is, "Tried By War" by James M. McPherson. It is the story of Abraham Lincoln as Commander in Chief.

I really believe we need to stress reading in America.......Our wonderful rich history but even before that stress reading of God's Word. What are we teaching our Children? I have always loved history and reading it has helped me so much in my life. How can you live in a Country and not study it? How can you be a believer and not study the Bible?

You will learn much by reading!

I have about 15 books going now....I read snippets as I go through my days........It is an exciting venture!

Did you know this?

In Feb of 1861 a month before Lincoln being sworn in as President, delegates from seven states met in Montgomery, Alabama, to form a new nation they called the Confederate States of America. Lame-duck President James Buchanan maintained that secession was unconstitutional, but wrung his hands and said he could not do anything about it.

That is just a peek at what Lincoln was facing as he got ready to enter the White House!

The story of Lincoln having to fight with his own advisors, the Military and Courts is very interesting. He was also challenged on the way he interpreted the Constitution. But can we even imagine the challenges Lincoln was facing? Americans going to war against Americans?

Having studied Lincoln since I was in Grade School.....yes, that is right, grade school......I really have come to know that God picked Lincoln for that time.........

I really believe by reading our history you will have even more of an appreciation for our Country.

From yesterdays readings at Church: Habakkuk 2: 9-10

Woe to him who unjustly gains wealth for his house to place his nest on high, to escape from the reach of disaster! You have planned shame for your house by wiping out many peoples and sinning against your own self.

We will do bad things when we are not in the Will of the Lord! If we are not bearing fruit in our lives........we are out of the Will of God.

May the Holy Spirit comfort you today!

I pray today that you will be listening to God..........That you will be doing God's Will and not yours!

What a Day of Worship yesterday! We had a full house! What a message by Pastor Jim! AWESOME!

Pastor Jim's sermon was based on Luke 23: 44-46

It was now about noon, and the darkness came over the whole land until three, because the sun's light failed. The curtain of the sanctuary was split down the middle. And Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I entrust My Spirit." Saying this, He breathed His last.

Let us all give our lives to God.........Let us entrust our lives to Him. Turn your life completely over to God. Every aspect.........

When we see what is happening with the volcano in Iceland and putting a stop to much of man's activity......will this help man know that we have such little control of things?

I pray that you were able to read yesterdays CUP on the Holy Spirit........

Shona Neff shares this after Sundays CUP...........

Dewey,

Great thoughts about the Holy Sprit. Many Christians don't understand His ministry and it's such an important one.

Thanks,
s

Amen Shona!!! The Lord has moved me for years now to share about the Holy Spirit. The writings of D.L. Moody and Dr. Charles Stanley on the Holy Spirit are wonderful.

If you have any questions.......just email me.........I want to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

On Sunday the Lord gave me the word to share with you from President Lincoln and D.L. Moody! Two AWESOME men of God.

Moody wrote about the Holy Spirit...........today let me share with you what Francis Chan says about the Holy Spirit when it comes to preparing his sermon.

Chan book, Crazy Love, is AWESOME, Pastor Leonard gave it to me......

In an interview with Leadership magazine Chan was asked.........

Most people know you as a preacher. How do you hope your sermons form the people at your church?

I want them to hear God is teaching me through His Word. I want them to understand what a passage means, but I also want to be open to what the Holy Spirit may want to do in that moment. So my sermons aren't as scripted as they used to be.

What led you to that shift?

I want to be as real as possible, and if I script too much, especially with four services, it can become mechanical------just going through the motions rather than really depending on God in the moment. (AMEM!!! AMEN!!!!!) I also want to be open to the fact that there are different crowds in each service, and when I open my mouth the Spirit might give me different words to say to each different group. If I have a script, I tend to stick to it even if God may be leading me elsewhere in the moment.

Turn everything to the Lord and listen.......HE will guide you......if you let HIM! Turn everything over to HIM.........all 100% of your life!

Chris gives us an update on what took place yesterday in Willard, NM as Pastor Don Kimbro is leading a Revival there...........

Denzell Teague sent this to us.............Thank you Denzell!
HOLY SPIRIT:

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for? THAT'S GOD talking to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to? THAT'S GOD wanting you to talk to Him.

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you needed, but couldn't afford? THAT'S GOD knowing the desires of your heart.

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it was going to get better, how the hurting would stop, how the pain would ease, but now you look back on it . ..
THAT'S GOD passing us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

Do you think that this e-mail was accidentally sent to you?

Keep this going. You have no idea which one of Your e-mail buddies could use a little hope today

Dear God...

I know you're watching over me
And I'm feeling truly blessed
For no matter what I pray for
You always know what's best!

I have this circle of E-mail friends,
Who mean a lot to me;
Some days I 'send' and 'send,'
At other times, I let them be.

I am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dictate to them,
Because to me they are the 'Most'!

When I see each name download,
And view the message they've sent;
I know they've thought of me that day,
And 'well wishes' were their intent.

So to you, my friends, I would like to say,
Thank you for being a part;
Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart.

God bless you all is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you 'friend';
I pray God will keep you safe,
Until we write again.

Thank you again Denzell for sending this..........

Let us pray..............

Lord, Sharon and I pray today Lord that this CUP will bless many..........many will strengthen their relationship with You, Father! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!

Lincoln and DL Moody CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

How are you on this wonderful Sunday?

I would love to share with you some of my reading today..........

President Lincoln said this in his Gettysburg Address:

"The war was a test whether the nation conceived in 1776 "might live" or would "perish from the earth."

Those words of President Lincoln fit the United States of America today.........more than many would want to believe.

The Unites States of America as we knew it as Children and Adults is passing away each day......

We are undergoing a test here in 2010............

Pastors are also undergoing a test of God's Word............

One of the Lord's greatest servants, D.L. Moody writes...........

Does a messenger, who has been sent by God, have any right to change the message?

If I had sent a servant to deliver a message, and the servant thought the message didn't sound exactly right----------maybe, in his eyes, it seemed a little harsh-----and that servant went and changes the message, I would change servants very quickly; he could not serve me any longer. Likewise, when a minister or a messenger of Christ begins to change the message, because he thinks it is not exactly what should be and he thinks he is wiser than God, God just dismisses that man.

Words of wisdom from two of the greatest Americans ever to live Lincoln and Moody!

The Holy Spirit must be with our Pastors......The Holy Spirit must be with us all........We must receive the Holy Spirit into our lives.......

This is why I am writing to you today.......because the Holy Spirit moved upon me to share these words with you. These words are not mine, but mine to share at the Will of God.

Moody writes.........

Some people have the idea that the Holy Spirit is an attribute of God, just as mercy is an attribute of God. They think the Spirit is just an influence coming from God. But we find these words in the fourteenth chapter of John: "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" (v.16) Note that it says, "That he may abide with you for ever."

And the following verse reads:

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17

Again, in the twenty-sixth verse of the same chapter we find:

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Observe the pronouns "he" and "him." I want to call attention to this fact, that whenever Christ spoke of the Holy Spirit, he spoke of Him as a person, not as mere influence. If we want to honor the Holy Spirit, let us bear in mind that He is one of the Trinity, a personality of the Godhead.

AMEN! AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as I write this to you.........I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit my messenger from God.........To guide me in EVERYTHING I DO......

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
