DEATH OF COMONSENSE CUP KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM Family,

May God be with you and yours today and forever..........

"I we ever forget that we are One nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under." President Ronald Reagan AMEN!

"We need a revival of common courtesy" WOW! WOW! Thanks to Dennis Rainey of Family Life Today for those words! Weekdays at 7am and 8:30pm on KKIM

MEN: BOLDLY LOVE YOUR WIFE AND CHILDREN

Please pray for Kyle Martin who is holding a revival in Sedona, Arizona this week! Kyle of course held a revival in Santa Fe over a year ago and we are still reaping the harvest of the thousands of seeds that were planted from that revival! Kyle is on KKIM weekdays at 5:30am 7:35am and 4pm.

We are still praying for a revival in Albuquerque!

Thank God for Pastor Don Kimbro, weekdays at 7:30am and pm on KKIM, and crew on holding a revival in Willard, NM! We pray the revival continues in Willard!

Please pray for Sharon who is ill and also Franchesca who is ill.

Please read all the way through this post........Don Johnson of Afterglow, heard Sundays at 8pm on KKIM www.mykkim.com has a great piece on the DEATH OF COMMONSENSE!

I thank the Lord for giving me the words to share with you on the CUP and on the radio each day..

Would you pray for me?

I am getting so many requests for people to be interviewed........people wanting me to go here and there........people wanting me to announce there mission........

Those of you who know me well, know that I do not want to disappoint anyone! I need to be wise in what I do and use the time available on the radio wisely. I also need to pray for the Lord's wisdom in who and what is on the radio.......sometimes people seem to pick up the phone or send an email and expect to be on the radio.

The Lord runs this ship, not me, I will continue to pray for discernment when it comes to all aspects of my life.

My Pastor Jim Montoya told me to go home Sunday and get rest to be refreshed for the start of the week. A Brother watching out for a Brother.........Jim is very good at that, and I have to do the same thing for him.

The onslaught of people wanting on air or my time is at an all time high........I want to be careful in what I do, please cover me in prayer.

I would not write this if I did not care so much about God's people. We all have to be aware that there are those out in the World that want to use Ministries like KKIM/KARS for themselves and not God.

One of the duties the Lord has given me is to watch over HIS Ministries of KKIM/KARS and the CUP!

Also people wanting me to do this or that........I can see why people get burned out they become like the wind, they go anywhere at anytime.......even if they have not prayed about it. Sometimes we lose God's Will in being hurried. We lose real focus and strength.

That is why I always try to start the CUP with May the Peace and Strength of the Lord be with you and yours!

There is nothing like the having the Lord's Peace and Strength and the same time!!!

I get more done now at 54 than I did 20 years ago because the Lord runs my life.

Let us not be scatter guns...........let us focus like a laser beam for the Lord.

We also need to take care of our families.......I am very protective of Sharon and the kids, in spending time with them.

Remember Men........the sign of a good Husband is the health of his wife! Mental and physical.

Maybe by opening my heart to you all on this it will help you, as you go about your busy schedule.

I also think many would be wise to attend a good old fashion time management class.

I see time being wasted a lot around me.

I did not intend to write about this...but these are the words the Lord gave me today..........I pray all the time.........and I mean all the time.........Every second of my day I am talking or listening to the Lord. I am not smart enough or strong enough to do what I do. The Lord drives my life. AMEN! PRAISE GOD!

Let God plan your day...........keep your eyes on Jesus....as Pastor Garland Moore told me years ago.

We get into trouble when we take our eye's off of Jesus!

Read James 4 today

The Lords Will not ours..........I know I am like a stuck record.......but the Lord has a simple plan for us......Just read His Word and follow His Word and direction.

This is from the National Day of Prayer Folks........I love them!

God's Word for you this week
"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." (Ps.52:8)

Prayer for this week
"Though at times I forget that I dwell in your house, Lord I hold on to the truth that I am literally planted in your house. As an olive tree flourishes in right circumstances, so I am planted firmly in your presence forever. May your unfailing love continue to cause me to flourish as fruit is produced in my life through the power of your eternal Spirit."

Reading for this week
"Revival, as contrasted with a Holy Ghost atmosphere is a clean-cut breakthrough of the Spirit, a sweep of Holy Ghost power, bending the hearts of hardened sinners as the wheat before the wind, breaking up the fountains of the great deep, sweeping the whole range of the emotions, as the master hand moves across the harp strings, from the tears and cries of the penitent to the holy laughter and triumphant joy of the cleansed. They are fools who belittle such holy experiences and warn against 'excessive emotionalism.' Such do not even understand the make-up of 'Mansoul,' still less the ways of the Eternal Lover with His beloved." - Norman Grubb

Here is an excellent piece from Don Johnson, the host of Afterglow on KKIM, Sundays at 8pm..........

MOURNING THE LOSS OF AN OLD FRIEND
With so much is happening around us, we sometimes wonder “why?’ The foundations are crumbling. Past principles are abandoned at will. Something we have relied on may have slipped away with hardly any notice? The following may help answer these questions.

Today we mourn the passing of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.
Common Sense lived a long life but died in the United States from heart failure on the brink of the new millennium. No one really knows how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He selflessly devoted his life to service in schools, hospitals, homes, factories helping folks get jobs done without fanfare and foolishness. For decades, petty rules, silly laws, and frivolous lawsuits held no power over Common Sense. He was credited with cultivating such valued lessons as to know when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, and that life isn't always fair.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adults are in charge, not the kids), and it's okay to come in second. A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, and the Technological Revolution, Common Sense survived cultural and educational trends including body piercing, whole language, and "new math." But his health declined when he became infected with the "If-it-only-helps-one-person-it's-worth-it" virus.
In recent decades his waning strength proved no match for the ravages of well intentioned but overbearing regulations. He watched in pain as good people became ruled by self-seeking lawyers. His health rapidly deteriorated when schools endlessly implemented zero-tolerance policies.
Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, a teen suspended for taking a swig of mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition. It declined even further when schools had to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student but could not inform the parent when a female student was pregnant or wanted an abortion.
Finally, Common Sense lost his will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, criminals received better treatment than victims, and federal judges stuck their noses in everything from the Boy Scouts to professional sports. Finally, when a woman, too stupid to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, was awarded a huge settlement, Common Sense threw in the towel.
As the end neared, Common Sense drifted in and out of logic but was kept informed of developments regarding questionable regulations such as those for low flow toilets, rocking chairs, and stepladders.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility, and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers: My Rights, and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
Mark Twain once declared, “The notices of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Perhaps this might be true of “common sense” as well. Maybe it will live again in you and me.
Till next time, Don Johnson

Thank you so much Don...we love you and the music you put forth for the Lord! catch Don on KKIM Sundays at 8pm.

Let us pray............

Lord, let us all be in prayer all the time........let us pray and listen at the same time...........We await your words.......We love You so much! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
